Has Amazon ever held payment of a block because a bill of lauding and when does payment period end with them when running three blocks in a week from Sunday morning to Sunday morning
Regarding the Ax Murderer issue. To get a badge (entry into the facilities) in California, I was told that Amazon will do a background check to get you a badge to enter the yards, Not all locations need a badge but some will is what I was told. This will need clarification by someone in the know!
Hi Tim. I have been to every Amazon facility in California and have never been issued a badge. Perhaps they require it if you are a regular employee working in the warehouses?
Tony Does Amazon load board have trips that require the owner-operator (company )to provide a tractor and (personal 53’) trailer? Or is it power only? Thanks.
Both. Most of the board is power only, but there is a good amount of loads to pull using your own trailer as well. Thanks for your question! TruckingTopics.com.
@TruckingTopicToday Hi Tony, I'm waiting for a rental truck to become available so that I can receive a vin number to expedite an insurance policy to receive my authority with the FMCSA. On your section about "Why Did Amazon Relay Reject My Application". I heard your first reason, so I checked to see what amount of BIPD was listed on my application. It says $750,000. After following their directions to request that my BIPD be increased to meet Amazon's requirements, I received a response saying that they can't increase it unless there's is change in my operations. I will only be transporting general motor freight. So, I don't see any change of operations to be made. How can I resolve this issue before I meet this roadblock once I find a rental truck. I'm concerned about being stuck with a both rental truck & insurance bill, but unable to get rolling with Amazon Relay because of this issue.
Not to worry! The FMCSA is correct in what they told you. Also, Amazon no longer checks FMCSA records for insurance purposes. They now use RMIS. As long as you have the appropriate coverages Amazon requires, AND RMIS is showing it correctly, you are golden.
You don’t even need to pay for it. In fact, if you do without approval from Amazon, they will not reimburse you. You would need to call Amazon and they will tell you what to do, or where to go. Payment will be made through their account to the service provider.
Amazon says 26’ box with lift gate, e-tracks and straps, and a pallet jack. With that said, there are many owners who show up with shorter trucks. I don’t know if they are always accepted.
Hi Sir, my application was declined because I was not able to receive their calls because my phone provider blocked spam calls I don’t know what to do now?
I know you said Amazon's concern is insurance but I'm wondering can I pull with a single axle day cab. If so what are limitations on mileage if any? I appreciate the info😊
Thanks so much! Question: If I have a history driving for Amazon Relay leased under another carrier and am starting my own authority will my "Amazon driving track record" carry over?
I have not been able to verify this. What I will say is that when I am assisting someone to sign up with Relay, and they are denied, when they obviously qualified to run for Relay…they have worked with Amazon in the past. However, I’ve never been able to get a verification on the decline. Hope this makes sense.

@@TruckingTopicsToday I was told I qualify for one day payment becoz of my good performance, what does that mean, they pay me for any load I did for them in 24 hours?

Hello, we are on our second week of hauling for Amazon. They say you can see your invoices on Wednesday.I have not been able to see anything today? Also they qualified our company for one day pay. How does that work? As you said their customer service is not the best.LoL
I'm about to drop my signup with relay. The extra insurance required for relay added almost $4k to my insurance. Most of the loads listed on relay pay less than $2/mile. I can pick up spot market loads all day long over $2/mile. How do you justify the extra cost to run relay?
Hey Jeff. I would advise you to not drop Relay. The reason is that you need as many options in your back pocket as you can get for those times that you find yourself needing a load, and perhaps they can be a last option. Amazon does not require a certain number of loads you have to pull in order to keep access to the Relay board. Regarding insurance, in my case it only raised my insurance about $1.500, and most of that was due to raising my BIPD from $750,000 to $1,000,000. These days, more and more brokers are requiring $1,000,000 anyway. You are correct about Amazon’s rates. That’s why i didn’t pull a Relay load for months, and in the end they were my #3 go to if I needed a load. Thanks for the question. Be safe...
This is what I wanted to see. Another youtuber shared the load board live and the rates are awful. A lot of 1.90 or up 2.30 in the meantime fuel keeps creeping up. Everyone needs transportaters but all refuse to pay a decent rate and desperate transporters keep accepting the cheap rates.
Do I need to get Amazon approved 1st before I can see what is available in my area on the relay app? Would like to know how much freight is in my area before I go through with signing up and it just be a waste...FYI,wichita ks area
Yes, you will need to be an approved carrier before you can see the Relay load board. I just did a quick look and it appears you would need to go south into OKC, and even better if you work in the Dallas - Ft. Worth area.

Hello, I am wishing to startup a company and want to have a contract with amazon. I am not a truck driver. I am more like a businessman. So I would like to know, how many trucks my company must own to have a contract with amazon. For example 5 trucks or 3 trucks or 10 trucks... Is there a requirement for this.
Three trucks minimum for long term dedicated contracts. Only 1 truck for short term contracts on the Relay board. If you would like a more in-depth conversation, please set up a 30 minute appointment on my calendar at calendly.com/truckingtopics/30min
From what I’ve seen on the road most of the people pulling amazon trailers are dangerous drivers, always speeding, passing in unsafe areas, weaving in and out of traffic and cutting off other truck drivers. Apparently amazon is not giving these drivers the time they need to get to their destinations.

I am just about ready to apply my letter of authority just came though Amazon said wait a couple of weeks before submitting my app. They definitely want workers comp they said I am a single member LLC I am in Utah i dont know why? Do you think its wise to get a trailer dry van or reefer as well so you have more options? Thankyou.
I’m a single member LLC in Utah, and I’m not required to have it per state law. I have an exemption from Amazon. Also, I would advise starting out power only, no trailers.
Lol some of the questions People ask are just so bizzarre lol I think people should really think this through before they commit to getting into the trucking business and I don’t mean to be sarcastic it’s just facts trucking is certainly not for everyone
Hi Frank. Yes, you are correct...trucking is definitely not for everyone. I hope that this channel can be one resource for information to those looking into the opportunity whereby they can decide if it is a good business model for them.

Not in California, as long as you do not have any employees. However, please double check that information with the Secretary of State just in case anything has changed.

If you would like a more in-depth conversation, please set up a 30 minute appointment on my calendar at calendly.com/truckingtopics/30min
is it a must to have a business account before they approve for relay?
No, but why would your business not have a bank account
No, but it is a VERY good idea to have one.
From what I’ve seen on the road most of the people pulling amazon trailers are dangerous drivers, always speeding, passing in unsafe areas, weaving in and out of traffic and cutting off other truck drivers.
Apparently amazon is not giving these drivers the time they need to get to their destinations.
Great information. Do you know if it's good to work with them in Orlando, Florida?
Florida market is good.
@@TruckingTopicsToday North Florida is always better than S.Florida ar least as an auto transporter. How do you see S.Florida? The other day another youtuber deadheaded 350 miles out of S FLORIDA. Thanks for all your feedback.
Thank you for the info brother. I want to apply for Amazon Relay contract. I will email my DOT # and the COI to your email to check me out before I apply.
