Analysis is improved a lot Gabriel !!! This style of longer e MORE detailed analysis is much better in my opinion, because you explain the correction also 😍
41 year old personal trainer here , recently started with oly weightlifting exercises. Very humbling experience to go right back to the beginning. Found issues with certain joints that I wouldn't have known really existed
DUDE that was amazing, thank you sooooo much for this video. I always thought Kuo was nearly perfect technique wise, I never fully understood why she missed lifts here and there, you have a very good eye at seeing those errors and pointing these out will help me refine my technique aswell! Great RUclips Content, keep it up!
These analyses are so helpful in learning! I like when you incorporate things from your own training such as the line on the ground and not defining where each foot goes
Great review as always Gabriel! I seem to have the same problem in the catch position. What accessory exercises would you recommend to correct the center of gravity in the catch, to be more on the heels?
My question would be how she keep her upper back tight when she pull her torso back and goes to the front right before of she start the first pull and tokishi does the same ,, I try to see how feel and help you but by mid second pull I lose tighnes on my upper back when the weights get heavy ,,,, only with static starting position I can keep my lasts engage,,,, if anybody have cue I would be interesting to learn thanks.
Gabriel honest question that I hope you will be able to answer: My left middle finger is longer than my right one anywhere from 3mm to 5mm, at super low weight hook grip works perfectly but at under 6-8rm my right one always rolls first to such a large degree that I virtually can't stop it. Is there anything I can do about or will I have to deal with it?
@@meruem6995ujjoooo before I tried pulling hook I used pronated with the thumb so that it very slightly presses it diagonally. It's my preferred grip but I can't tell if that's because I have the most experience with it or not
@@kblkbl I don't know man because the hand with shorter finger struggles first but only if I grip with both hands. Movement encourages movement and all
@@kblkbl I checked again throughout and it's only the fingertips that have a difference in length about .4-.5cm. I hope this doesn't make a real difference just wanted to know for sure because it felt safer in my left to such a larger degree, maybe it's sheer forces, maybe its bad set up Ion know
great explanation, what happen if a woman with regular or big boobs wants to try weighlifting, she couldn't bring the bar close enough in chest zone, what does she has to do? there are specific exercises
I'm sure you'd just have to adjust the technique slightly to accomodate. Sarah Robles from US talked about it in one of her IG stories. Actually if I recall she was talking about the belly being in the way. She said that she has to get "extra tall" and shoulders have to come back slightly more in full extension, in order to get clear of the bar coming up. I'm sure for women with bigger chests, it would be the same
Great stuff. 35 years old I've worked my way up to snatching an empty bar. Wish I had started weightlifting when I was younger. It's fun!
I relate to this comment very much.. keep it up!
Wow I just discovered this sport last month at 34. I thought it only a CrossFit exercise.
@@osiris3yhn As much as I detest crossfit, I have to give it credit for introducing a lot of people to olympic weightlifting.

Beautiful analysis Gabriel! Please could you do Dmitri Klokov sometime ? Especially his 200 Kg pause snatch?
Love and support brother!

Thank you, Gabriel! I personally requested it. I've learnt so much from this analysis. How is your health (Covid-wise)?
These videos are so helpful Gabriel, thank you!
Hell yeah the video is here already

Very good video
These breakdowns are awesome
Love your use of slow-mo and replay along with your narration for this analysis. Made this breakdown so much easier to learn. Thank you

Gabriel, how do you think has a better technique? Kuo or Toma?
could you next review sohrab moradi? his form is so weird but he was so good when healthy

I would do the snatch pull without the thumb. Then the same grip with clj, and snatch

Your thumb will be locking in the middle of your middle finger. A 3~5mm difference in your middle finger is negligible. lol
