I've become a HUGE fan of Andy's recently. He was on Edwin Ever's channel not long ago, and he's such a genuine guy. Kind of guy you want as a neighbor. I learned more from his video with Edwin, than any skipping video I've seen on RUclips. *LOT'S of guys know how to skip......virtually NONE of them know how to teach it.*

If it wasn't for you I would of never have picked up a chatter bait. I was watching one of your tournaments and saw you destroying bass. Thanks for the knowledge you give. Hands down one of my favorite guys to watch.

Nothing grinds my gears more then people throwing line clippings and plastic chunks in the water.

Docks and brush piles are my favorite hard cover to work. Sometimes I think guys get a bit too hung up on SKIPPING…gotta skip, only gonna get ‘em with skipping…not true. Skipping is the last thing I do after working the edges and ambush points (the places where feeding bass are likely to set up). A good, quiet pitch is every bit as important but for some reason social media has created this huge overemphasis on skipping being *the* technique for hard cover. The only time I find myself skipping exclusively is if I’m working a big line of docks one right after the other, searching for fish. Other than that, pitching is paramount. Remember…skipping is loud and raucous. There are times when that’s appropriate and times when that will scatter everything within a 10’ radius.

I’m from Utah and I have never caught a bass bigger than like half a pound and it was nothing, a spotted….I think, but I’ve caught 15 pound browns and rainbow trout. Why is it that bass are the most iconic fish? They are, imo, trash fish. Trout get just as big, fight just as good (I’ve heard) and taste hella good! They also seem to be harder to catch…so what’s the deal?
