modded always, but is a huge step in the right way for Criterion to match this kind of Physics that the comunity always want since nfs 2015... Imagine how happy with this are the console players :)
i love your mod, as always.. BUT the vanilla handling is some refreshing update for the nfs community with the playlist and shit. ofc the mod handling feels better but the vanilla update is a big W for the community.
Personally I appreciate both modded and the new vanilla handling because now people who are on console have drifting that feels better than what it was at launch but there’s always room for improvement
Your mod is what gives us a reason to play the game. Sure, it has a learning curve but when you get it right, you don't want to go back to vanilla handling. Big thanks for putting in the 2000+ hours of time and effort to make the game great for us drift nuts.
The New Drift Model Really Just Need To Be Faster In My Opinion, I Think Drift Also Needs To Look More Wild Than Just The Car Sliding Since Yes It's "Realistic" But Like! It's A Video Game Why Not Make It More Fun And Wild.
The vanilla physics is basically just awd drifting. Exactly what Ken block did, it’s not really drifting but more of power sliding. The wheels literally locking the opposite direction is what real drifting looks like. It’s not really that big of a deal but it feels better and it’s satisfying to watch. Thanks for your work 🫡
I noticed that vanilla drifting still feels kinda "safe" and you can't hit wide angles as hard as in the mod. Also not enough people mention it but the custom camera work on your mod looks hard as fuck
Sure i think everyone here prefers the mod by a landslide, but the vanilla physics arent bad anymore, they're actually enjoyable! It's great news for NFS, or well atleast the console people. We will always have our beloved mods lol
EVEN THOUGH idont have the game and the mode but i can see your great work on it the way it works to perfect this skill is pretty realistic i like how do you do it no matter what people say keep the great work

You mods look amazing, i would love to try them. But currently i only see the nfs heat one (dont own that gmae). And that the unbound one has been removed for over 5 months. Will at ever come back? All love !
the vanilla version doesn't even feel like a drift it's true that they made the drifting better than what it used to be like but even the new version isn't good the car just slides and you never steer to the oposit direction like it should just like the drifting physics in the crew 2 they improved it just to be like what the crew used to be
I always wondered why do game companies don't contact modders like Hayeduce and pay them to use their mod in their official game or hire them to work as full time developers? We all know money is not the issue then why don't they do it?
The skillset of a modder does not always align with the skillset of a developer. And its bold to assume that money is not an issue, the team working on NFS is very small now, so hiring people would not be cheap.
The new vanilla handling also has its own new camera similar to the mod, but there aint no camera in this world that could make those front wheels point the right direction
@@prodshisvi thats hard to answer because we dont know how close they came to their own goals. But from what i can see, they created 5 new tire assets that control the drift pro tires, each with 156 parameters. Most of those are there to turn off the brake to drift physics, but not all of it, some fake things are still activated past 50 degrees of angle. About 70 parameters modify the base tire physics to be how it is below that angle. About 10 more control the new camera. About 3 parameters also turn off self-steer completely, so that was on purpose. About half of all these parameters were not exposed to the physics file before, but i dont know what it takes to make them available with the tools they have, it could have involved coding but if so, it was probably done by an engineer, not by the handling designer anyway. To me it seems that their goal was to go for an underground 2 feel. The problem is, that handling is outdated imo, kept alive only by nostalgia. If their goal was to make it more believable, then they didnt try hard enough imo. There are also some bugs/flaws in their tire code which i could fix with the help of a friend who knows how to hack and reverse engineer. They didnt do anything about those, tho it would have taken less then 10 minutes for them cuz i literally only changed 10 lines of their code.
@@hayeduce feel ya, i think if the devs would add that the tires always steer to the opposite site, so it looks like in your mod and more like a drift and not like a powerslide it would be muuuch better. Im wondering that they dont get in touch with modders ... anyways great job!
Too bad your mod handles like ass for most people, every one I seen mention it says it looks awesome but it handles like ass. Hardly anyone is gonna stick with it long enough to get this good. Too bad the devs can't figure out how to just give the look of counter steering. Have you reached out to them to tell them how you made it? Cause the new vanilla handling is super easy to drive it just looks wrong. if we can get a combination of your automatic counter steering visuals with the handling of the new vanilla physics, then it would be perfect.
If they needed anything from me they would have reached out on their own already. Im not here for the numbers btw, enough ppl stuck around with the mod already to make that 2000hrs worth :D Idk why some ppl struggle with it. The ones i helped myself learned it in less then a day.
