Describes his childhood leading up to the tragedy and the aftermath it is a amazing line from a incredibly funny and sad movie

Adam Sandler is an incredible writer.
I don’t even like musicals but this guy makes it fit so smoothly and perfectly with comedy tragedy matched together
I don't see him as an INCREDIBLE writer but besides some awkward characters (the Chinese guy mainly) and joke missteps, I think this movie was alright. Certainly better than I expected from everyone's treatment of Adam Sandler

musical acts were more his origin and the way he set out solo. So this is great. His comedy albums were all funny and well received even though it was a bunch of short, stupid parody songs mostly. I like this movie. Wasn't ready for it to be a musical. Once I got over that, I love it for decades. Same thing as Tenacious D movie.

Its funny and there is always some truth behind a good joke. I respect the hell out of a guy who comes into my store, he bows and grunts and speaks even less understandable, but I look forward to seeing him and he looks forward to seeing me, even though I bow back, and think it's funny the way he talks, I still respect the hell out of the guy. He speaks English and it's not his native tongue, I can laugh at it sounding funny while also admiring him, he has better grammar than native speakers, it's just a funny sounding accent. IDk, seeks harmless irl, from my experience.

All in all this is a good song. I can relate to it.
A lot of times I get nostalgic and miss the happier times of my life, back when things were easier and less stressful.
If you can ignore the parts where Whitey interrupts the song, it's decent.

I’ve always loved this movie for my life. Heck, I’ve grown up in this movie even though I didn’t get what was going on at the time. That’s how young I was when I first saw it.
Everyone is hating on this movie but when I was a kid I loved watching this. It’s a cartoon with comedy meant for a 12 year old. Stop taking everything so seriously. I still like this movie so gtfoh

I remember when this came out. I was 12 years old in 2002. It was a year or so before my parents divorced. My dads sister and her family came to visit for the holidays and we'd snowboard at mad river mountain and we went to see this movie at a theater when it was snowing. When we'd visit them we'd watch movies like Signs(the alien footage freaked me out at that age) that came out around that same time and we'd snowboard in Pittsburgh. Time goes by so fast watching this again at 31 years old takes you back to that briefly.

The biggest problem with this movie is their is no middle ground. It has moments of brilliance like this song or the mall scene, surrounded by absolute idiocy that makes you ashamed to be human. Watching this gives you mental whiplash.
