You have to go back and be there to see how this was different. Back then, everyone was jumping on the James Brown tip, sampling the shit out of funk. Mantronix sounded so different, but still sounded like Hip-Hop. Thanks Kurtis & Tee.
Mantronix's style was very unique and the original master of the 800 and 808 drum machines were he created his style of beats that never can be top plus the mix of instruments he added just listen vererycarfuly to that sound.
Kurtis Mantronik was way ahead of his time. I think there were a lot of ppl who just didnt get it.
Born in 1970 ,was lucky enough to grow up to mantronix, 52 this year an still playing near enough everyday. So many happy memories. Thank you.

4 Shizzle My Nizzzleeee'! Yheeeeeer!....😊
Chad Jacksons best ever remix. Stunning.. I wonder what Mantronik thought of it! Love Mantroniks colab with Just Ice too.
Awwww, I want these days back.....
Likewise take some beating these days.
Most definitely one of my favorite producers of all time! Unfortunately, so undervalued! This man has had so much influence on contemporary music.
There is a parallel dimension in which Herbie Hancock and Mantronix joined forces and recorded 12 albums together.
In addition, I read a few comments about Chad J....a hero around Manchester....won't hear a bad word said against the man
King of the Beats!
