Modern day sushi is the sushi we know today and what Chinese introduced to Japan was a method of fermentation using rice and fish that is probably originated in Southeast Asia. Later people in Japan started making rice ball with vinegar and fish. It was 3 times bigger than today’s traditional nigiri sushi and wasn’t fancy food back then but it was more like to-go fast food.
Very accurate and interesting, thanks for sharing. Yes the earliest record of sushi was indeed from China dating back to the Warring States period around the 3rd century BC. You did a great job, unlike some other videos that randomly claim sushi originated from SE Asia without any evidence whatsoever.
that’s funny that the sushi supposedly that originated from China isn’t sold in chinese restaurants.😂. the two countries that sell what resembles sushi is Korea and Japan.
