Whew, this was quite the run. Some special thanks to Minogame1 as he helped me out with my general orientation, the people who made SpoilerAL (a practice patch that adds "spell practice" and several other things to the game), and to raak1010 because I kind of stole his annotation method...

i've noticed that most stage 2-3 bosses are just enemies you run into until you get to the ones who are responsible/helping with the incident

4th is always the one leading up to locating the culprits location, 5th is always the culprits right hand helper, and the 6th is always the culprit.
The 3rd boss always give a hint on who’s behind the incident.
I would LOVE it if RUclips allowed 480p60fps or recognizes that I recorded this in 720p60fps.

You can upscale using OBS. That's how I managed to make all my videos 720p despite recording at the base 480p resolution.

@@anidiot4558 I ended up revising my challenge, going for normal 1CCs now. Cleared MoF last week but SA is proving to be a hurdle. Stage 4 is my limit so far. I can easy 1CC reliably (but I mean, easy modo lol).
@@vedgie I can’t even beat SA on easy lol. The furthest I got was Okuu’s last spell card before rage quitting.
1cc on this game is impossible for me. I play on Easy, and I have to continue on Prismrivers no matter how many times I bomb.
This game has a hard Easy mode.

Since I made that comment, I made it to (and died horribly to) Yuyuko's first nonspell. Considering my performance on the rest of her though, a 1cc is approximately halfway there.

Yeah- it was a mess. I'm convinced it's the toughest game in the series on Easy.
Talguy21 If you did that, then normal and hard would take you at least a week to 1cc, cuz normal and hard are almost the same xd

today I can proudly proclaim that I've finished this damn game, I don't care if it's on slow mode, I don't care if it's on normal difficulty, all I'm mindful about is that I've finally beaten this atrocity of a game and have overcame its wanton iniquity!

I just managed to 1cc Easy mode for the first time a few nights ago (Reimu-A. Big mistake). Watching stuff like this is somewhat inspiring
yeeaahhh...in touhou 7 if you want an aimed/homing shot type pick sakuya A-More power and existant speed AND an extra bomb

It's a good thing the bubble hitbox was made more forgiving from this game onward, because I'm around 90% sure 28:26 would be pretty much impossible to dodge in EoSD.

for alice's last spell, you can stream first 3 waves of bullets from the upper right corner and go down, becasue this is the time period where she's "invincible"(shooting does way less damage)
Is it a problem when Some of the prismriver bullshit looks easier here than on easy..
Lyrica non's extra speed means less dense so i don't die by adjusting too much dodging the blu waves
Lyrica spellcard Looks like you don't have to try to dodge through dense waves (though i could just be approaching the spell wrong)
And stygian riverside looks like it doesn't try to wall you 90% of the time
i know, id rather suffer through stage 6 than deal with the prismriver sisters again, as much as i love them.
Well, Lyrica's spell card is the easiest 4th stage lunatic spell card I have ever encountered

PCB and MoF are my favorite games. I played for the first time in the MoF. I have been playing Touhou for 1.5 years and this game has left a strong impression. Because of her, I have animistic tendencies.

SakuyaA obviously best clearing shottype, very good homing for new players and good bomb, but hard to control at hard place of stage and low cherry recieve (harder to score and border break)
SakuyaB is totally different, hard to control ita direction and bad bomb for survival (but good for scoring), it's very hard to get used to
But after that, she'll having better damage and also better on stage (for example, spam before stage 6 youmu)

I think the anotations is the danmaku,
what’s the difference between curvy lasers and stuff like bosendorf spirit performance, or yuyuko’s non immediately before butterfly delusion? why do people complain about curvy lasers, but never about curvy bullets?
there’s hitbox shenanigans, or so I’ve heard, but that non is also with dagger danmaku... and while I’ve heard plenty of prismriver complaints, I’ve never seen curvy bullets brought up as a major reason for that.
Mostly a thing of expectations. Lasers are supposed to be straight, so the first time you die to a curvy laser sticks with you for the rest of your touhou experience, while curvy bullets are pretty common.
is it just me or PCB lunatic is easier than it looked?

and in fact, as a normal player, i could capture 15:59 easily without bombs (stream, and focus on the red bullets)
I can't say about Lunatic, which has given me plenty of trouble, but normal mode is definitely a lot of "style over substance" attacks where they look cool and/or symmetrical but aren't hard to dodge. I 1cc'd normal on my second attempt after having only played a decent amount of 6 beforehand on normal
Yeah Prismrivers have some really weird balancing issues difficulty-wise. The rest of the game doesn't have these issues nearly as bad.

Also, yes, you can misdirect that attack. I've explained it a bit more in my annotations now. I was still making them when you commented :p.

just make sure to never try misdirecting the stage 6 youmu midboss non unless you want a wall to the face

You don't actually need to misdirect Youmu's nonspells. They are pretty easy for LNN standards are very consistent.
Misdirecting is much more comforting, though. Also it feels great to pull a double misdirect.
No reason not to do it besides "muh integrity".

I loved the annotations they were very entretaining and useful, and, well, needless to say, the run itself was freaking awesome!
I play the heck out of this game but I still learned a couple of things, like Lily´s superarmor which I did not knew, and Youmu´s misdirection (Although whenever I am actually using it is another question entirely- Too used to misdirect it the way I do it).
SakuyaB is really superb at killing stage enemies... cant really do that with ReimuB :<
So everything seems to be on its place... I have one question though...
So Stage 6 spam. Is there a way to make it easier with ReimuB or do I just have to dodge and pray to the RNG?
Sadly, it's mostly just "dodge and pray to RNG".
From what I remember it's best to stay a bit to one side, like I also did with sakuyaB. But I could be wrong about this. ReimuB sadly has a pretty hard "spam wave" and you will just have to dodge this with that shot.

Well, thats pretty annoying, then. I still have some other difficult spots in the game (Mostly Yuyuko stuff, particulary that annoying Bubble streaming attack and that flower explosion one), but none of them are as inconsistent as the Stage 6 spam... And they have actual strats/routes which I believe will *eventually* make them trivial, unlike the spam :/

Yes, Imperishable Night for example has such a high scoring that my Normal 1cc (Final B) ended up with 1 billion points as well
