    I love your garden and love hearing your goats. My husband started laughing. I asked him why. He said. She said she don't know what she planted where because she just put seed where there was space. Thats so you. I do it all the time. Got to use up every inch. ❤

    I had the same problem last year with my corn. Too much wind knocked them all down. Surprisingly corn will stand itself back up. Its the weirdest thing. They grow more roots out of the back side and kind of pull themselves upright. Not even kidding lol.

    Kwe Heather! I had gotten the potato seed berries last year from my potatoes. I cant remember when I took them off the plant but I did let them sit on my counter for a couple of days, then took out the seeds, put them on paper so they could dry. I forgot about them, this February I found them and started them in seed trays. Dont do what I did, it wasnt the right time to plant them. I forgot that these potatoes needed to be buried. I lost all my starts. I dont have the room in my house to do something like that.
    BUT THEY ALL GEMINATED:)
    Im hoping I get seed berries this year (a different type, Im so excited its one of our indigenous foods. apparently they have less sugar then regular potatoes. thats why a lot of indigenous people have diabetes, they went away from our original foods) and will do the prosses but only plant them directly in the soil outside next year.
    Let me know what works for you:) I wish you lots of luck:)

    I love that your getting back to posting more content in your busy summer because I must say your channel is the highlight of my day, down to if my day didn’t go so well I come sit in the quietness of my hangout and watch your video and everything bad from my day just washes away, your happiness and smile is very contagious and mood changing so Thank You for your awesome content!!! Also I have different types of squash growing just as you do and I also have the same situation of having bee overload in my plant on one end, but not hardly any bees in the other and its boggling my mind as to what is the reasoning for that but my question is…what kind of bees are bigger than a queen bee honey bee? I have some bees, I have never seen before much less on any plants that look the size of these bees that is clustered in my white squash plant!! It kinda freaks me out because I’m familiar with honeybees and the black and yellow bumblebee carpenter bee type bees but we called those a different name in French for the black and yellow bumblebees, but this type of bee resembles a honeybee but it is nowhere near your average size bumblebee by no means!! Also another question…My husband is not a gardener as myself by no means but he will do crazy things as times to see what happens, well he put a random potato in container several months ago to see what it would do…well this thing starts making leaves and then multiplied and is now making purple flowers. I have never done potatoes so I don’t know what to look for as far as knowing if this thing made more potatoes or when to harvest them if they did 😂 So can you share a little information on that. Thanks in advance, God Bless

      Flora thanks so much!! I'm so happy our content is a place of refuge for you!! I'm not super knowledgeable About bee varieties but I've seen a bunch of different ones here too! I want to find a good guide on identifying native bees and wasps. As far as the potato, wait until the leaves die back to dump the bucket and harvest!! How exciting!!

    What a wonderful garden tour! Zucchinis I planted them last year and they were so prolific they're called eight ball zucchini because they grow the size of an 8-ball? I don't know that's what the label said hahaha. I like them they're very personal sized zucchini with your love and they're tender and delicious. And I absolutely love the scallop squash this. This year I planted the englischer custard squash they have yet to produce but next year I'd like to definitely try my hand on Cushaw squash. The eggplants are coming in and what I thought were black beauties are actually Antigua eggplants hahaha I told you all my tags got mixed up it's like Christmas out here LOL but I'm excited cuz I finally got three varieties of a plants to grow. Heather what varity of birdhouse gourd is that again? Did you get it from Bakers Creek or hoss tools? That is so cool to know that you can eat those.

    I love your beautiful garden. Potato seeds is how new potato varieties are made, (since they can cross pollinate with each other). Without having tried it I believe it is however a two year process to grow potatoes from seeds, the first year you get some very small "potatoes" and you then use those for seed potatoes the next year to get a potato crop and only then will you know what this new variety might be like.

      @SageandStoneHomestead I am hoping I can get my winter squash to finish on the vines before the vines completely die. Dozens of cantaloupe are hanging onto pathetic pale, limp vines. Most of my tomato plants are diseased and slow to reach to trellises. I keep trimming, buy I don't want to take everything off. Anyway, I plan to start pulling this up, but want to spray the squash bugs before I start disturbing the soil. Otherwise they will run. To the next plants to destroy.

    how to extract the seed please read the link below

    • @24bidy
      @24bidy Год назад +1

      The first step of harvesting the seeds is to ripe the fruit on the window for about a month After a month place them all into the strainer and squeeze all the pulp out , every now and then you can rinse with water.Once you have squeezed the pulp out of all the fruit, begin rinsing with worm water, Very hot water is required to remove all the slime (which contains an enzyme that keeps the seeds from germinating, so if you don't remove it all, the seeds will likely never germinate) from around the seeds.Scoop the clean seeds from the strainer and put them onto a plate with a paper towel on top to absorb the water. Once the seeds dry, place them into a zip lock baggie for storage.
