I feel like most of the comment section is getting the wrong idea. They’re not trying to prove that you shouldn’t underestimate new players or how you should be kind to newbies, but how you can be skilled at the game no matter what toon you use, you just have to be careful. 1k. . . 😨

i played a run with a really good poppy player. she was a beginner, but she knew the basics and was one of the last ppl to die (even i died before her) me and the pebble on the team friended her and did some more runs. it kinda made me realize how fun teaching newer players was edit: they got pebble before me ;-;
i main tisha and honestly yeah, we tend to be the ones to look after starters because we have an ability to give speed boosts! most pro players don't need it but it really does save a boxten or poppy's life when they're still figuring out how the twisted's ai works.

She changed her hosting call to allow starter and starter toons. A poppy starter joined. The flutter was being grumpy abt it lol. 4 mains joined, including me, but i changed back to boxten. Flutter squealed 'OMG MAINS LETS GO!!' So we did. We had pebs, (my fren) who started distracting, but flutter went: 'Pebble what the hell! Im distracting!' None of us were aware of that lol. So we let flutter distract. Flutter SUCKED. Like sucked at hoarding, getting twisteds, and kept accidentally hitting people. (Including themselves.) I was helping the poppy starter the whole time lol, (they asked questions bc that was their second run. About rnd, trinkets, calls, items etc.) And flutter kept targetting them for everything 💀 On floor 2, our sprout left bc flutter wouldnt listen and sucked at distracting. (Said it themselves.) And I like playing as poppy because I'm saving up for some other toons, and it is fun being poppy, but people go "GO AWAY" For like No reason! Ok, so, heres the thing! Poppy and boxten, even as a starter, can be really good. Because dandys world might not be their first horror game on roblox. And imo, dandys world is fairly easy. We ended up getting pebble 3 times, vee, astro, and sprout, and everyone died on floor 19. (Which was blackout with pebble). Poppy ended up doing most of the machines while our goob distracted and me and sprout stayed together bc we were healers. The two shellys did machines too, but most of us werent even doing anything.
As a dandy's noob but avid pressure/doors player this is the realest thing. As poppy I've pretty frequently (but certainly not always) found myself alone or nearly alone in a server by the time I end up dying myself. Absolutely bizarre how people take "I haven't played this game much" as "I'm going to drag everyone down via my inexperience and make the round a nightmare".
Hey Goto! Not sure if you know this or do know this, but pressing "e" on a machine exits it for you, and pressing 1,2 or 3 on the keyboard uses the item in said slot!
I just did a poppy run today in a public lobby for fun, everyone died at floor 6 and i made it to 12. I couldve gone further but i was lazy + i found main, which was my secondary objective

It goes to show that what ever toons your using mains, rares, or normals it doesn't matter, it all matters on how well you can use them and using your common sense. People using mains doesn't always indicate that they're good, i've seen people using mains died early at floor 1-5. I've seen people who doesn't have a main toons yet play better than some who does have main toons, it all comes to the person who's playing.
I think “no starters” is a very controversial opinion. When I’m hosting, I usually say no starters [unless vintage!] but not for the intention that starter toons are bad. The reason I say that is because a lot of newer players don’t know how to utilise poppy/Boxten properly. Boxten and poppy are actually very good toons and better than a lot of the toons your required to buy with thousands of ichor, but sometimes new players haven’t learnt how to use them. (And this is obvious going to spark- “BUT NEW PLAYERS NEED TO LEARN TO BE GOOD!” And I will confirm that if a starter joins I will never kick them out, I’d just rather have more experienced starters.)

My second longest run ever (shorter by ONE floor), which was also a dandy run, I was playing as a Poppy, sometimes Poppy is just goated ppl judge starters way too harshly
That's why I usually do beginner-only runs for them to learn how to play, and play as Tisha with dog plush & any extracting trinkets so I can extract and distract. :)
Yap session below: Just came here after playing dandys world as my starter, (Boxten), while I'm still a 'noob', I understand how the game works and try my best to help (a lot of my friends play it so I decided to try it), but the Goob in the lobby I was just in kept blaming me when players died, even though I wasn't near them when they died. Goob continued harassing me until floor 6, where they told me to die and led twisteds to me until I lost all my hearts. (They then bragged about getting me killed in chat) Players are so toxic towards new players, and I don't really understand why, I've been on roblox for years and helping new players in games I have experience in, is fun tbh. I did this, and when I got hit because low stam and I was getting chased by Finn, once Cosmo said "Who should I heal" the Astro said "Heal Poppy, she's a starter" that made me really happy-
Poppy and Boxten actually aren’t too bad, they have perfectly mid stats which is great and bad at the same time, they aren’t good at anything but not bad at anything, the problem with Poppy is having no ability until being hit and the problem with Boxten is relying on teammates, with enough skill any toon can be good, it’s just that most skilled people don’t use at toon, like most pros don’t use Poppy or Boxten, only starters do, I’m not gonna try say that this is why you should always be nice to starters or anything, because these guys aren’t starters, are they?
I was in an run as toodles and all my team got killed on floor 8 I think? I got to floor 14 " alone " ( sprout stayed at the server to keep me calm, I cant do solo, I get too scared )
When i first started playing i was almost always the last one standing in any lobby i joined despite being a poppy. I feel like starters who aren’t allowed to join lobbys are more competent than people with good toons.
Hey goto goat! I have a really fun idea for a run! So if there will be a twisted version of the toon youre playing with, youll need to distract the twisted, Example: If there is an Astro in the team and on the current floor is twisted Astro, Astro will need to distract him.
When I first started playing (aka literally yesterday) I picked Poppy. I was playing with a few friends and funnily enough, I made it to floor 18 without taking a heart, was the last one standing and ended up quitting, not because it was intimidating or too much- but because I was bored and didn't realise I'd made it far. A solid day later and after looking through playthroughs, I now realise how wrong I was from a beginner pov. Point being you can have every toon and every trinket but it doesn't account for basic skill.
The Astro saying “I just hide when it’s a blackout” gives me the ick, like unless your on one heart and 2 machines are left, why are you leaving it to everyone else??
They be saying "Pro runs, no starters" Im not really a starter but my main is boxten. They said that I was a noob. I was somehow able to sneak into their elevator and guess what? They ALL died on floor 11 and my sis and I made it to floor 16 before dying. I guess playing roblox piggy for over 3 years really taught me juking skills and awareness of my surroundings.

i have an idea for run:killers run:so there will be 4 astro and 4 other toons (non astro). the main challenge of astro players is to kill every non astro toon, challenge of 4 other toons is to survive to floor 10

I’m new to dandy’s world, and I got pebble and shelly on floor 7, with only one teammate, and I was the only one who survived. Me being poppy and my teammate being Vee.
I remember when I first started playing with my friends I was a Poppy, and because it was hard getting in runs my friends immediately swapped to other toons like Tisha the moment they had the ichor, but I had only one goal- I wanted Razzle and Dazzle. So I grinded as a Poppy until I could afford them, and in doing so subjected myself to being looked down on for Much Longer than my friends had been, and yet again and again I survived pretty dang well because I wasn't a noob, just a poppy player which nobody ever realizes there's a difference, because WHY would anyone EVER PLAY one of the MANY available characters over the others!?!? /s =_='' her ability is good, when I play as other slower/low stam characters, I miss it since I get caught over and over. The only thing that eased some of people's doubts was when I completed mastery and started wearing the Vintage Poppy skin, so people started letting me into Pro runs (with some convincing). Now I'm an RND main, which I have also been told multiple times that I should drop because they're not a good consistent distractor. I've always just said no, because like y'all proved it isn't the toon, it's how you play. So long as people aren't leading twisteds to me as Dazzle (an unfortunate reality in a lot of public runs I join) I can make it well into the double digits on my own! Even back in my Poppy days I could make it to floor 10 which was huge as a beginner since I just kept going and steadily got better as I played. Sometimes people just like playing characters that others don't find efficient or good, let them play who they want how they want, it's not that deep!
I once got told I couldn’t do a run because I was RND (I was new to playing them at that point but wth what did I do wrong?) I’m still practicing being a distractor on odd floors but…I wanna get to be scraps soon, just depends if I can get the last twisted Goob encounter I need me and my sister joined about two or three weeks ago, I desire to get pebble and be a full time distractor while my sister wants to be a full time healer(she’s attempting to get enough for Cosmo)
Yeah ur right! If player is good they're just good, doesn't matter what toon they're playing! I'd play boxten more often if it wasn't for the fact that I usually play just duo with my partner and Boxten's ext. speed buff doesn't feel too good in this case. And lol big lobby chaos is insane. I would also wanna yap about how many times players just sabotage you when you're playing a distractor but that's just life I guess. And not relevant to the video's topic.
i think the reason ppl do no starter runs is bc most starters just started the game, know nothing, and die on floor 2 or 3 essentially being a waste of space, my opinion btw
I was playing as poppy for the mastery and the goon kept leading twisteds to the elevator getting people hit so I asked him if he could try to not lead them to the elevator. He just stared at me then follows me with the twisters next round. I luckily saw what he was doing so I was able to avoid him. He even tried to pull me into a twisted once but ended up getting hit himself and I still had all three hearts. I was the last one alive out of that group lol

My second longest run ever (shorter by ONE floor), which was also a dandy run, I was playing as a Poppy, sometimes Poppy is just goated ppl judge starters way too harshly

Just came here after playing dandys world as my starter, (Boxten), while I'm still a 'noob', I understand how the game works and try my best to help (a lot of my friends play it so I decided to try it), but the Goob in the lobby I was just in kept blaming me when players died, even though I wasn't near them when they died. Goob continued harassing me until floor 6, where they told me to die and led twisteds to me until I lost all my hearts. (They then bragged about getting me killed in chat)
Players are so toxic towards new players, and I don't really understand why, I've been on roblox for years and helping new players in games I have experience in, is fun tbh. Anyway, if u got this far, ty for reading :D

I did this, and when I got hit because low stam and I was getting chased by Finn, once Cosmo said "Who should I heal" the Astro said "Heal Poppy, she's a starter" that made me really happy-

Poppy and Boxten actually aren’t too bad, they have perfectly mid stats which is great and bad at the same time, they aren’t good at anything but not bad at anything, the problem with Poppy is having no ability until being hit and the problem with Boxten is relying on teammates, with enough skill any toon can be good, it’s just that most skilled people don’t use at toon, like most pros don’t use Poppy or Boxten, only starters do, I’m not gonna try say that this is why you should always be nice to starters or anything, because these guys aren’t starters, are they?

When i first started playing i was almost always the last one standing in any lobby i joined despite being a poppy. I feel like starters who aren’t allowed to join lobbys are more competent than people with good toons.

When I first started playing (aka literally yesterday) I picked Poppy.
I was playing with a few friends and funnily enough, I made it to floor 18 without taking a heart, was the last one standing and ended up quitting, not because it was intimidating or too much- but because I was bored and didn't realise I'd made it far.
A solid day later and after looking through playthroughs, I now realise how wrong I was from a beginner pov.
Point being you can have every toon and every trinket but it doesn't account for basic skill.
It may have helped that I wasn't new to these styled games, I used to play a few dbd styled games but my point remains
I’m not that level but I always let starters play. My only rule for runs is no trolls
The Astro saying “I just hide when it’s a blackout” gives me the ick, like unless your on one heart and 2 machines are left, why are you leaving it to everyone else??

They be saying "Pro runs, no starters" Im not really a starter but my main is boxten. They said that I was a noob. I was somehow able to sneak into their elevator and guess what? They ALL died on floor 11 and my sis and I made it to floor 16 before dying. I guess playing roblox piggy for over 3 years really taught me juking skills and awareness of my surroundings.
I played piggy for 3 years but the twisted hit box is crazy
Pro tip: go into solo runs as any toon to essentially improve at the game without a distractor

i have an idea for run:killers run:so there will be 4 astro and 4 other toons (non astro). the main challenge of astro players is to kill every non astro toon, challenge of 4 other toons is to survive to floor 10
I love Poppy 😭 When I play as her in a normal or long run everyone get’s mad at me or other poppies in the run but everyone dies before me at like floor 7

I remember when I first started playing with my friends I was a Poppy, and because it was hard getting in runs my friends immediately swapped to other toons like Tisha the moment they had the ichor, but I had only one goal- I wanted Razzle and Dazzle. So I grinded as a Poppy until I could afford them, and in doing so subjected myself to being looked down on for Much Longer than my friends had been, and yet again and again I survived pretty dang well because I wasn't a noob, just a poppy player which nobody ever realizes there's a difference, because WHY would anyone EVER PLAY one of the MANY available characters over the others!?!? /s =_='' her ability is good, when I play as other slower/low stam characters, I miss it since I get caught over and over. The only thing that eased some of people's doubts was when I completed mastery and started wearing the Vintage Poppy skin, so people started letting me into Pro runs (with some convincing). Now I'm an RND main, which I have also been told multiple times that I should drop because they're not a good consistent distractor. I've always just said no, because like y'all proved it isn't the toon, it's how you play. So long as people aren't leading twisteds to me as Dazzle (an unfortunate reality in a lot of public runs I join) I can make it well into the double digits on my own! Even back in my Poppy days I could make it to floor 10 which was huge as a beginner since I just kept going and steadily got better as I played. Sometimes people just like playing characters that others don't find efficient or good, let them play who they want how they want, it's not that deep!

I once got told I couldn’t do a run because I was RND (I was new to playing them at that point but wth what did I do wrong?) I’m still practicing being a distractor on odd floors but…I wanna get to be scraps soon, just depends if I can get the last twisted Goob encounter I need me and my sister joined about two or three weeks ago, I desire to get pebble and be a full time distractor while my sister wants to be a full time healer(she’s attempting to get enough for Cosmo)

Yeah ur right! If player is good they're just good, doesn't matter what toon they're playing! I'd play boxten more often if it wasn't for the fact that I usually play just duo with my partner and Boxten's ext. speed buff doesn't feel too good in this case. And lol big lobby chaos is insane.
I would also wanna yap about how many times players just sabotage you when you're playing a distractor but that's just life I guess. And not relevant to the video's topic.

i think the reason ppl do no starter runs is bc most starters just started the game, know nothing, and die on floor 2 or 3 essentially being a waste of space, my opinion btw

I was playing as poppy for the mastery and the goon kept leading twisteds to the elevator getting people hit so I asked him if he could try to not lead them to the elevator. He just stared at me then follows me with the twisters next round. I luckily saw what he was doing so I was able to avoid him. He even tried to pull me into a twisted once but ended up getting hit himself and I still had all three hearts. I was the last one alive out of that group lol
