The new shelf makes all the difference with more plants at that level (the junglier the walls the better!). From a practical point of view, I'm guessing it also makes it much easier to inspect for pests. All that's missing now is low level surround-sound jungle effects...parakeets, macaques, giant cicadas etc ☺

Wall shelves are so wonderful but aren’t you worried abt them not being in studs? I’m always so afraid my plants will crash that I do studs or no shelf. Love your plant “room”!
There are special dry wall plugs you have to use if you don't line up with a stud. I used heavy duty ones. The dry wall will fall off before this shelf does. These are the ones I'm using except I got them from home Depot www.amazon.ca/Swpeet-Assorted-Toggle-Hanging-Drywall/dp/B07DL9MVN7/ref=asc_df_B07DL9MVN7/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=459679644892&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7327928357309665513&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001257&hvtargid=pla-471944659123&psc=1&mcid=d7805039524e3fd792deffba66b3cfdf
I’m someone downsizing my plant collection but only somewhat for space reasons. Mostly to get rid of plants that don’t bring me joy any more. Some are on the struggle bus. I can’t figure out why so I’m letting them go. I just need to figure out exactly which ones.
Great idea adding the shelf, it looks great. I'm doing some downsizing of duplicate plants due to lack of room. Do you have a watering schedule and I'm wondering how long it takes you to water all those plants? 🪴
Enjoyed watching this re-arranging of plants and the new shelf...you've definitely made me look around in my house for possible shelving ideas to get some of my plants off the floor. Thanks for sharing Jeff 👍🏼
I am curious to see what happens with your el Choco. I have found them very difficult especially with repotting. The roots are very fine and it seems to hate it when it loses them. Shelf looks nice!
I didn't see a weight limit, but it depends on whether or not the bracket can screw into the stud or what type of drywall plug/bracket you use. This one is very sturdy
I really like your idea of putting similar plants together in one pot - it not only saves space but makes them even more interesting to see. You look great with your new 'do, too.
I hope it’s ok to ask, but do you keep plants around your home, or just a designated room? My home has become a jungle lol but I love it ♥️ those shelves would look beautiful anywhere
That’s my motto as well, don’t downsize, just make some more space 😅😅..
Love the shelf setup. 💚🪴 Natalie
Haha...there is always more space! Thanks Natalie
The matching shelf looks great, more plants for us to see😁. Your Regal Shield is beautiful 🥰
Thank you! 🤗

Haha. It would be fun to have little frogs and lizards

Your jungle in the basement is looking really good! What a difference one extra shelf can make! 🪴🌳🌴🌱🌿
I know....I was surprised too
I really love this!!! This shelf us really beautiful and the look overall is amazing!
I'm "downsizing" by combining plants these days 😅
It's a great way to 'downsize' lol

Love this downsizing way!👍I do it too😅

The best!

I usually give away or throw out plants that aren't doing well or I just don't want to expel energy on
Please spell the name of the plant shelf. I listened carefully but couldn't make it out
It's called LENNON floating shelf from Jysk Canada
Nice shelf & design Jeff! What’s the name of the Alocasias you repotted last? I may have missed it.
Regal Shield!
@@EverythingPlants thanks Jeff.
Watching this while I set up my new soltech light so I can accommodate more plants 😅 my collection isn’t very big though
Soltech light...nice! Which one did you get?
I think the variety of plants and heights make your new shelf appealing. Do the clay saucers leave water rings on it?
No. I haven't seen anything on the shelves for water stains. Most of them have glazed bottoms
The shelf really adds not o my room but beauty to that area.
Thanks Lisa

No watering schedule.....I just walk around and pick up a pot to test it's weight
Love your set up. Beautiful plants ❤ thanks to u i use those moss poles too. What kind of Alocasia is that? What kind of planks are best to buy?
That alocasia is a Regal Shield. The most reliable plank is cedar!

Thanks Connie!
I love it!
Thanks Lauren
How can your basement, even with the humidifier and spraying the plants down with water, only be at 48% humidity? 😅
Have you been to Saskatchewan? Haha the air is SO DRY
I am curious to see what happens with your el
Choco. I have found them very difficult especially with repotting. The roots are very fine and it seems to hate it when it loses them. Shelf looks nice!
I'm losing one leaf, but I fully expected that. I've heard of this with the el choco as well
💚
🍀💚
Hello Andreas
Really liked the shelf!! Beautiful Alocasia!! 🪴🙋🏼♀️🌱🌿
Thank you! 🤗
Hi Jeff your collection has grown so much. Have used PON before?
I haven't used it before, but someday I'd like to try
Beautiful design and arrangement of plants, also like the new haircut..makes you looks like a plant daddy..lol
Haha....thanks so much!
How much weight does the shelf hold? I had to get heavy duty brackets because mine couldn’t handle the weight 😢

I agree....looks good and saves space! And thanks for the kind words Linda!
❤❤
What is the name of the Alocasia that you repotted?
Regal Shield!

I totally agree!
I love the floor full of baby plants😊

Hoya sunrise!
@@EverythingPlants thank you! I didn't realize they could get so bright. Love it.
What's a quorum on that alocasia
I hope it’s ok to ask, but do you keep plants around your home, or just a designated room? My home has become a jungle lol but I love it ♥️ those shelves would look beautiful anywhere
They are all over the house!
