    I have Swati rising.
I think at its best, it is complete freedom to express the true self that you are in each moment, without holding yourself back due to your own insecurities or other people's. The individuality is built into me, I just have to be what I AM.
On the not so great side, the individuality can become an identity and it cuts you off from others and yourself. You are now a concept, not a being, and need to remain consistent to your concept to feel secure.
So in order to have that consistent security in self, we should always be what we are authentically in each moment, not stay true to the "concept" we have of ourselves.
It's a tricky thing to be human lol

Swati is the Nakshatra of '"the unbearable lightness of being". That 's why the Sun is debilitated here. The "One wanted to become the many." It is about the differentiation of the oneness of being which is after all an illusion (Rahu); the utter confusion of who one really is. Forced to wear any kind of mask (persona) to meet with others and please them or compromise (Libra) yet not being able to be truly oneself.

my mom had ascendant sun and moon in this. it really freaked me out when you talked about the lack of oxygen, and being part of the whole, and not apart. she passed from a stroke, paralyzed on her left side. she all way's fought to be a part from the whole, even living in a secluded area. because no one could get to her in time, the stroke did a lot of damage. so stubborn, doing thing's her own way. at least she did it her way, i know that made her very happy. nice video. thank you! :)

I have a very independent streak, and I like it! I don't like my religion dictated to me. I have to investigate myself.

Svati Nakshatra in ASC here. This is exactly the story of my Life. Nothing speaks more. It's weird, it's neither here nor there. I struggle with being encorporated in a body, or, on the other hand, get too into the daily life and start suffering spiritually. I need to balance this, understand that my identity is sort of, like my body, just a lighter one... And let it be and act on the stage of life.. Thank you for your words, they help a lot... This is the way I cured my asthma, and I can cure anything else that is bothering me, the source of issues is always inside.

  • @catinthepeng2686

Ketu and Moon in Swati, 1st (although Vishkha ASC). So... I am pretty individualistic, naturally. I do things my way a lot, but it isn't due to a certain desire to do so, rather, I just am not aware of an easier way that's more... universal. I'm slowly becoming aware of this tendency of mine though. The thing is... I've always tried to get along with people, but people saw me as "different," and treated me differently.

Thank you vic. With my rahu in Swati, I've literally come to discover this lesson through experience. (With a pisces ascendant) I've gone from being too lost in the energy of others due to lack of boundaries growin up, as well as a perception of self coming from the reflection from others... to wanting to put up walls... To then understanding more and more how to balance so I don't lose the connection with spirit OR people... And the only way has been through spirituality. A crucial part of that has been self acceptance and being trusting of me - the individual who is the self concept uniting with spirit. In a collectivist social and family structure like in India, rediscovering a bit of your individualized self isn't a bad thing at all just like the west at large could do with more of the energy of mitra-ta. My Jupiter (asc lord) being in Anuradha, I really value the power of friendship too.
Astrology has helped me here and there on the path too at times. Grateful for that to you since you have been on of the most thoughtful teachers I've learned from..
Btw, I'm sure you've heard it before but you have a wonderful smile. 😊

I have Rahu in Swati in 6th house in D9. I lovvvvve my isolation. But what I’m trying to figure out is : Since Ketu is Isolation and Swati is separation from the whole to be an individual, aren’t I almost set up to love Isolation? LOL. But with your description, it’s almost as if I’m supposed to appreciate isolation yet still recognize I play an integral role in making people realize their eccentricity in a greater group. Perhaps with the people who I have conflict with? Hmmm figuring this out as I’m typing.
Maybe that’s how I defeat my conflict is through creating love to realize it’s all a part of a WHOLE. The conflict itself is an illusion of seperation. It’s just the other parts of what I’ve chosen to separate from. No wonder I always find attraction in the dance with opposing forces. I also have my Sun and Mars in 8th house 😅

Prāna rides in on the oxygen, but is not oxygen itself. It is too subtle to percieve with the material senses and anchors the soul to the physical body. Without Prāna, the soul cannot remain with the body.

To Sarvada Sarangdhar, I have a similar placement with an addition of Pluto in the mix. At the age of 35, I've yet to come into being a full individualized person- with my thoughts and action much swaying and bending with my peers and surroundings. I suppose having Saturn ther would mean, we'd have a slow and steady journey of self discovery for this lifetime... and I feel the way to it is being aware of yourself (or not, you'd know...) and be the flower in the wind, but not of it.
To Vic, am looking forward to your upcoming book... and thank you for being you.
