Agreed. Asking Alexandria is praised by him but they are the same predictable structured songs each time now. Sometimes it’s nice to have the songs that are simple and easy to groove and sing to, these prog and unpredictable songs are 1 time listens for me.
Also this doesnt even sound like normal imminence, it's a lot faster paced and a lot heavier, heaviest vocals in at least a long time. Its unique for them.
Very subjective lol you want bands to reinvent the wheel every time they come out with a song and I just want solid metalcore which they completely deliver on. I also think imminence is a band that strive mores to be about the content of their songs. What is the message in the lyrics and the story they are trying to tell. They then just put solid music behind it but do not try to break the mold with every song. I love them, I would rather have this style with good lyrics and emotion behind it. That’s just me though. To each their own.
It’s not just you. You’re exactly correct. He’s one on the most biased reviewers there is. I don’t even know why I see what his thoughts are anymore. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but his just doesn’t make sense.
I would agree with your view on the album about their song structure etc but disagree about the effect, to me it’s a new era of the metalcore I grew up with, it’s hits just as hard if not harder and is a new tale on classic metalcore. Just my opinion, love your work
Peter has defiantly got better at drumming don't remember him doing blast beats but along that the band is really solid and eddy has some of the best raw vocals and cleans
“Exactly what you expected from them” ??…. I didn’t expect them to be that fast and heavy nor did I expect Eddie’s much deeper screams…. Not sure any of their other music has sounded like this so idk how you could say that?
They always changed their Sound a bit after every Album, so its pretty obvious metalbirb is not really into their stuff when he said their Sound is predictable
"No surprises"...hmm. i disagree. Eddie has never done a scream like that breakdown call out before. Its probably safe to say this is their heaviest breakdown. My only complaint about this is the breakdown felt cut short. But this is one of the most unique metalcore bands out there right now. I think this is the first time I've seen a reactor criticize this song.
When every other metalcore band has already done it… no it’s not surprising. It’s just them being late to the party 🎉😅 This song is a basic metalcore track and quite weak in comparison to what’s been dropping lately
That is the point with the imminence: they simple, predictable so you simply cant dislike any song and they do it all veeeery emotionally. So it is my S tier band. Other bands try to invent something new, but all song have been already written you cant surprise me. Just do a song solid and emotional
Respectfully, the only predictable thing with Imminence is the quality they're gonna give us. And you can see how different their songs are when you play them in shuffle mode 😊 Going from an acoustic version to Heaven Shall Burn for exemple is so wild 😂
My man, you're too picky! In my opinion they have many new things going on, only in these two new singles! And the most important thing...the emotions are there. They know how to reach their audience with the feels❤❤
Very odd criticisms for a band that always releases good tracks. If they were to take your advice, they'd become the next Architects and new Architects sucks. If you truly cared about a song title being in the song's lyrics, you'd hate 80% of all the songs you listen to, regardless of the band/artist. Must have been overly picky for the sake of the stream.
I feel the same way about them. I love there music, I love listening to their songs, I enjoy them and I love the violin, but I would love for them to break away from their standard song pattern every once in a while. I mean I can't complain too much since their standard song pattern is great, but a little variety is what would make them truly great and unique.
Huh… ? He didnt like the New Architects Record because its too soft and now he say Imminence are doing always the Same.. This fella cant decide what he wants.. 🤷🏻♂️
A bit overcritical imo. They have released 2 songs in the last few days and both are different in their own ways. Very atmospheric music imo and the violin makes them different as they are one of the best at integrating it onto heavy music.
Don't really understand what the problem is with them singing the title of the song in the chorus, you're saying the song would be better if they named it something else? Very weird critique. But to each their own! To me they sound great, and have easily one of my top 3 vocalists in the genre. Fresh and new sound from them, but still maintaining that Imminence sound.
I actually agree that they have their titles in the music. I would say that ive listened to a fair few tracks from them, and ive gotta agree that for the majority( maybe even all), their titles in the song. Hopefully they can add more lyrical depth without needing the title in the track
He allowed to have an opinion guys you forget music is subjective it hits everyone different sometimes you agree sometimes you disagree we can't all be on the same page. It's better to debate than argue. He still gave it praise so that fine by me.
This comment section is wild. I've been stewing on it and decided to come back and comment. Totally agree with Birb here, but this is actually my favorite Imminence track so far. Way better than the first single. I've been listening to metalcore for nearly two decades now. It Dies Today's The Caitiff Choir was my first metalcore album, to my recollection. For any metalcore to stick with me after all these years, it has to be absolutely transcendent. I have enough "solid, well-executed" metalcore to last me until I keel over and die. I wouldn't give these guys a second thought without the violin. 🤷🏻♂️
Dude's like me and pro wrestling lmao. Once you see or in this case hear so much music, the things that stand out aren't the predictable and expected. Imminence is everything I want in music but I totes understand his take
I paused to comment after he explained why he felt iffy about them. I was shaking my head knowing what is yet to come lol. Check, check, check. I still love it though.
overall i enjoy the stuff imminence is putting out, though they need to start extending breakdowns out, even a little. They always sound really good but then they're over right as you're really getting into em
You made some Imminence fans spicy by stating your opinion lol. I love Imminence, BUT I have thought the same as you as far as things almost sounding repetitive/predictable at times
Disappointing reaction, seemed quickly expedited and without solid arguments, without having noticed the improvements, nor any progress. Sorry to say it, but this is my impression :(
Instead of harping on the fact their chorus contains the song title have you considered the opposite? They've named their song after the chorus? Food for thought. I do appreciate your reaction vids.
I do agree with pretty much all your points. All the individual section of this song are well-executed for what they are, but every idea feels like it is following the modern metalcore playbook a bit too closely, all the while hoping that adding the violin as an extra garnish would offset the predictability (which IMO it does not). Still solid stuff for what it is, and the chorus melody is really nice.
AGREED on everything said in this video. Imminence fanboys all over this comment section, y’all can’t take an opinion because Imminence dropped their heaviest song and you think it’s amazing lmao
Well, youre all over the place with your wish for everything beeing unpredictable and the song structure thing. Sometimes it seems like you just want your opinion to be different from other reactors just for the sake of it. Still like you, sometimes its a bit too much imo
Lol how would I know what people are saying if this is my first time reaction? i clearly state "9 hours ago" @ 0:48 which is how fresh the song was when checking it out
You ask perfection from every single metalcore band. Just say it, you don't like this side of modern metalcore. Videos are getting kinda boring every time you bash this kind of bands.
All the things you said happened lol, I also like this band, but this song is more of the same they've have been doing so far and that is becoming kinda boring, they have more potential to do more that the same ideas over and over again.
They are amazing, i dont think that has to be a necessity to always throw something to be "different". They are consistent in their quality
Agree
My boy is way too picky, he's expecting some type of prog metal I guess. It's good to have bands pumping out consistent music
Bros like “OH , they said the song name, knew it” like bruh

it's definitely not exactly what anyone expected. nobody expected first breakdown, nobody expected how heavy the end breakdown was. he's just rambling
They always changed their Sound a bit after every Album, so its pretty obvious metalbirb is not really into their stuff when he said their Sound is predictable
They are pretty predictable imo. It's not a bad thing, but outside of blastbeats I feel like I've heard this song before. I still like the song though
this guy thinks hes got the highest music IQ on the planet, lets see him write as many albums as imminence has and see how he goes
@@zvac100I’m shocked by the comment section man. It was predictable to me, still gave it a 7.5 which means I enjoyed it still too
Doesn't every song in every vocal genre say the title of the track? Lol odd problem to have with a band
Agree with this to a point. I don't see the issue with the song name being said in the chorus. It's straightforward song naming.
I thought the same. Weird thing to bring up. Maybe he means something else by it? But he should of specified
