Maybe the real Safeties were the friends we made along the way
Mugiwara
The safeties are what this d line is gonna score vs busted Fields
Maybe the real NFL draft are the three defensive players we drafted while in the meantime one of our best offensive tackles wants to be traded and we don't really have a running back or tight end yet. Guess who I am.
I hope we can get JL skinner or Antonio Johnson man ! Not what I wanted but the best available in my opinion
😂😆
You absolutely hit the nail on the head with Reed. Kid can move, can be an electric playmaker, and is deceptively good with contested catches
He has long arms for a 5'11" guy. Every little bit helps.
I like Reed he's a good player. I thought he would go late 3rd early 4th but he's still a player.
Go green
@Derek Lasker was he a kick return for msu
@@wisconsinsportfan he was a wide receiver and he did some punt returns for tds so he can be a threat on offense and special teams
As a Steelers fan, I congratultae you to Reed. The Steelers really liked him and with how good they are with evaluating WR, he's going to be good
This does make me feel better. Steelers and wrs and like ham and sandwich
He's really good. Way underrated. Pickens was my favorite receiver last year going into the draft. Reed was my favorite this year. I really thought Reed was going to be a Steeler. I also thought Pickens was going to be a Packer lol. I'm a huge MSU fan. Reed is the truth. He's always open. Catches everything. Excellent route runner. Great YAC. Great punt returner. He had multiple return tds called back for holding on the other side of the field in college.
@@chefturbo4117 that’s really good to hear. I also thought Pickens would be the guy for the Packers. Not going to lie, early on I thought we made the wrong call because Watson was hurt and Pickens was ballin but both guys appear to be steals from the past draft!
@@jdb2722 not kosher?
I saw online they recorded his reaction getting the call, and that today was also his birthday. Gotta feel good for Reed.
Reeds ability to locate the ball in the air and go get it is fantastic. I think we found another 2nd round gem at WR.
As an MSU alum i think you guys are gonna love Jayden Reed. Imo he’s probably the best received we have seen in recent memory. As a Bears fan, that really pisses me off. Was hoping we could snag him later, but glad he got taken so early. Ill be rooting for him!
Lmao stop. He couldn't even do anything against the Gophers.
@@eodyn7 msu quarterback dog shit
@@eodyn7 that’s one game lol look at what he did in 2021 vs top teams like Michigan and Pitt
6:03 that moment made me chuckle Tom I think you have a really underrated sense of humor with quick little gags like that
As a Beavs fan, you’re going to really like Musgrave. On top of being a great pass catcher he would get open often and put up great numbers with average QB play. He’ll be a great weapon for Love and could see him being an upgrade over Tonyan.
As a Trojans fan, I strongly dislike OSU, but man do I respect Musgrave. He’s both athletic and can catch. Great TE.
@@osmanwerner2323 as a Oregon fan I hate USC but Addison will be good
@@PNW30568 I’m a Oregon fan too , this state sucks tbh , I’m glad I’m moving to Washington or Seattle soon.
@@Skruvvy Gonzo went to the pats
@@PNW30568 I hope Gonzalez does well. It was sad that Travis Dye wasn’t drafted though.
I'm a die hard Lions fan and I love your channel.
Nice perceptive video. I like the fact that even though the players you had so hoped would be drafted, weren’t, you immediately get behind those that were drafted preaching the positives of each man. Thanks Tom.
Tom’s quick posting makes me feel better about my terrible sleep habits
I want reed to punt return and Nixon for kick returns and I agree with you Tom I hope reed also plays wideout
To the Packers fans here you going to love Jayden!
Here is why
-Played X at HS
-Fast and speedy can beat out DBs
-Can play special teams
-Is a better player than Amari Rodgers
-Great guy, everyone loves him, will work harder than anyone in the bulid
-One of my really good friends, I cant wait for him to hit the field....
As a Michigan state fan, you got an incredible player. His season last year looks bad on paper because he and his QB we’re both injured all season.
He is incredible at the boundary and over the middle of the field.
loved watching him play every saturday right in the pit gonna miss him hope he succeeds in GB
“Don’t be surprised if they grab a veteran wide receiver, who ever’s hanging around in free agency”
You heard it, Tom Grossi says to go after Antonio Brown. You know what to do Packers
Antonio Brown is going to the Ravens and he would've been a horrible fit for the Packers locker room.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@jriamyou8156 😐
Even though I'm a lifelong Packers fan, I'd suspended my fandom if we get that piece of human trash on our team.
Grossi always making me feel better about our draft picks. I was so excited we doubled down on Tight End but a little bummed about passing on Wahington 3 times. But this video really helped me get excited about our selections.
The sober analysis on Musgrave sounds very good.
The drunk one last night was much more entertaining ;)
I wish the Vikings would draft a Tom Grossi for our breakdowns!
Great timing on this video , I had to change to the usual tv coverage after the lack of faith in what the pack are doing. Glad to see this one
Reed go fast?
Kraft cheese baby
I think the Packers will be feared more in 3 years than now. Once Love, Doubs, Watson, Musgrave get some time to get that chemistry going.
I think you are seeing a shift in the offense and who they pick, as I imagine Rodgers was set in his ways after all these years and a young QB gives the team a chance to branch out at try some different/new things. You used to see players of Reed's stature, as he is nearly a mirror of Greg Jennings so far as measurables are concerned. The comparison goes further as Reed started his Collegiate career at Western Michigan before transferring to Michigan state.
Man they hit on all of these guys 😂😂
tom when he sees lions take what he wants for packers. tom:rage rising!
I like luke and reed both are good route runners with good hands.
Reed was one of Greg Jenning's sleepers. I like the double dip. Still WR and defensive talent left. 9 picks left and some chances to add picks next year with a few. Our division opponents couldn't have done worse. The Pack is back.
As of 9:37 am CST From scrolling through draft picks, it looks like Detroit has 2 picks, Minnesota has 4 picks, Chicago has 5 picks in the remaining rounds. Go Pack Go!
Been a fan since the 2020 season, I have enjoyed many nights watching your videos and livestreams and really enjoy your content, it’s been exciting seeing the grind unfold. As a Chiefs/Packers fan it’s awesome having great Packers Coverage, Stay grinding Tom!
Oooh 2:25am, maybe tonight Tom gets some sleep before 3am!
Thanks, Grossi! I just woke up in the middle of the night and saw this. As usually you always seem to find the silver lining. I think you had to have been a great teacher when you used to do that because of your positive attitude and disposition!
I just hope that passing on Brian Branch doesn't come back to bite us in the butt since we'll more than likely be seeing him twice a year......
Love the content man!
Loving your content.
Great job Tom!
Tom is always on time with his videos! They are elite!
its his job
I love your summary of these draft picks and like you I hope they do good 😊
I think reed will b good for u guys. Like the potential of your picks. Thank u for brian branch 😊. Take solice in the fact that there might b worse teams to trade with.
Vikings proved to be frauds, bears seem to be lost and lions are actually terrifying... oh my
I've said this in the past and I'll keep saying it, I want y'all to get better. I want this division to get much better.
So that when any team from our division heads to the playoffs, we're so trained from our hard and deadly division that whoever makes it has a serious shot at the Superbowl
I don't think I can ever "take solice" in any fact knowing that we colluded against ourselves...

Lol
Hardest working man in the biz!
Reed was my high school teammate. Trust me, he’s a phenomenal receiver.
They don’t even know bro
props to tom for pumping out videos this late
Life long Lions fan here just subscribed to your channel. Love it!
Now that we got rid of the diva maybe we can do a new scheme
Thanks for the late night video
You never sleep man!
Really appreciate this video. Ngl as a long time subscriber wasn’t a fan of your reactions during the live streams, they were a bit over the top and not the Tom Grossi I think most of us subbed for.
Always believe in ya man
Tom Thanks for the Videos but you gotta get some sleep man you need it Goodluck to the Packers 💚
Through one year, this night looking really promising!
These picks were decently good
I stayed up waiting for this lol. Also, I like the guys we got. I know we didn’t take your guy Washington but I’m happy all the same 😊
YAYYY I'm a Packers fan from Oregon, and I'm a huge beavers fan! It so awesome to see him go to my favorite pro team!
Wow I have never been so early for a Tom Grossi video. And I couldn't be happier.
You are a machine sir!
Would love to see you recap 3 year ago draft grades Tom!
After taking a few minutes to revisit highlight reels and combine footage of these guys, I actually feel much better about all of Green Bay’s choices tonight. Hope we draft DuBose tomorrow and fill out a young, dynamic receiving core that can grow alongside Jordan. Go Pack Go!
We got DuBose!!! _excited wookie noises_
LOL.....can't believe the Steelers took Darnell Washington. I didn't see that coming.
Are you envious Major Tom???
I like to look at the draft as measuring players for the "uncoachables". Their character the effort they have shown on the field and the willingness to be a team player. Nobody truly knows if a player will be great or not but you look at their athletic ability and their character and I think all 3 of these guys fit that mold to a Tee.
I know you guys had a weird night, but as an NDSU fan Tucker Kraft has burned us so many times. One of your 3 new weapons will turn out, maybe even all 3. As a Vikings fan though, I hope the Packers struggle.
Coming back to this after a season, what a draft. Could have drafted Brian Branch but instead they got Reed, Wicks, and Brooks. Branch is great but so are all 3 of what the packers ended off getting. Depending who you talk to all 4 are at the very least second to first round players.
No one works harder than grossi 👏🏼
As a Texans fan idk how to feel, we’re actually trying and using our infinite picks to move up
Can't collude against the Packers if the Packers collude against themselves first
Tom, this was refreshing to watch. I’m a longtime Packers fan and I haven’t been this excited about Packers draft in a long time. I keep reading crazy comments and watching fired GMs and contributors offer such poor analysis about multiple teams, including Green Bay. People just want to make shocking, controversial comments and it’s just so old. Thanks for providing honest, constructive analysis. Go pack go!
As a MSU fan I love Reed but concerned about size in the NFL but he is so fun to watch
As a Denver fan, wr and ilb were the last positions I expected to draft, but I saw a white corner from Iowa and somehow just knew that had denver written all over it 😂
Jayden reed is a awesome person by friend was able to practice with him once and said he was extremely nice loving and anything you would want in a good person but he is a lions fan and I am a bears fan so he was pretty upset that he went to the packers😂
Thanks again for the Videos and I think the Packers did a good job at the NFL Draft
Yeah, ok😂
Luke likes to dive a lot 😂
I’m so happy for Kraft love the pick as a packer fan 🎉
Tucker kraft is a monster tightend... I'm also a bit biased being a sdsu fan though
@@nicholaschappell819 I concur that Kraft is an excellent pickup and that's from the Bison Nation
@@leefischer5814 I'm sorry your from that area...lol
@@nicholaschappell819 who's the Jack's coach again 😏😂
@@leefischer5814 new coach this year but we have a hell of a team.
Sydney Brown is such a steal let’s go.
I love our draft so far. Think they could be nice quality picks. Gotta wait and see but I’m not disappointed. Wish we would go draft for Safety or try to trade some pick to Arizona for baker if we still could.
I’m from Brookings, home of the Jackrabbits, know Tucker Kraft personally, you guys have a DOG, he is going to be an absolute unit, I’m super excited for you guys
You’re the greatest Tom!!! Go Pack Go!
Musgrave was on trajectory to get around 800-900 yards last season before his injury (2 games he had about 170 yards). Oregon State was just beginning to use him as a primary target as you can see if you watch the Fresno and Boise game - he gets a lot of targets and was uncoverable. It just sucks that OSU didn’t feature him as much the year before since their offense operated differently and they didn’t realize how good Musgrave was yet.
Luke is an ascending former multi sport athlete so I’m not worried about how well he’s gonna develop. He for sure has that attention to detail and will get better as a dual threat. Just wanna see him shift his mindset better when he goes from route runner to ball carrier - he doesn’t seem to turn that switch on to make a move aside from trying to run away from guys. Hopefully he learns from Kraft and finds how to be more creative after the catch. Lots to be excited about for him though nevertheless.
finish the draft
4th: Nick Saldaveri, Tackle - Old Domonion
5th: Isreal Abankanda, Running Back - Pitt
5th: Chris Smith, Saftey - Georgia
6th: Grant Dubose, Wide Reciever - Charlotte
7th: Chad Ryland, Kicker - Maryland
7th: Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Quarterback - UCLA
7th: Jerrod Clark, Defensive Tackle - Coastal Carolina
7th: Anthony Johnson, Corner - Virginia
I love the picks we got on day 2
coming from a lions/michigan fan it’s fitting that Reed is in GB now. Dude was a pain in the butt every game against michigan, he’s a really good player. Fights hard for catches and has great speed
This sometimes makes me glad I’m not a GM because I was expecting Darnell Washington to be picked but not knowing teams were passing on him because of injury concerns.. it’s either a hit or miss
I remember specifically telling myself to remember Reeds name while watching a few MSU games last year. He was a star in the games that I caught
Don’t think that went to plan Tom 😂😂🎉
It's going to be a long few months. I am far and away more excited for this upcoming season than I have been in a long time.
Jayden Reed reminds me so much of Tyler Locket. They have super similar RAS stats too.
As a Lions fan...you made me laugh and that's pretty good considering my hate is real
Washington falling is like when Nakobe Dean fell last year.
Reed is going to be a really good pro. He's underrated. Going into last year he was the best big 10 receiver outside of Ohio State. He was a better freshman than Skyy Moore at wmu. He was immediately the best receiver at MSU day one. Dude is clutch. Hes always open. Catches everything. Great YAC. Great returner. He was literally the most slept on player in this draft. I think its a great pick.
Coach wants to run a true 2 TE system, can't blame him for wanting his own stamp on things... Love Reed making havoc through the middle and WR screens.
I love kraft
Its bed time tom
Don't forget At Perry is still on the board... We needed offense.. always 3 and out. The defense never got a break
I like the fact they got Jordan Love help. I believe they had great picks. Your right, we’ll know in about 2/3 years. Keep it going Packers. Go Pack Go!
If you go back and look at the “overall rankings” of these players, they were all ranked pretty closely to where we picked them. I wish we could have gotten Branch, but hopefully Reed will pan out. He was a great athlete at MSU and I think he can be a solid slot option for us
I was mad about Brian Branch too! I hope Gute got it right. Not a good track record with TEs, but these two dudes seem different! Excited about them.
We crushed it.. I was livid night 1.. We are going to be nice this year. And we actually have cap space
Tree's next video: Getting piggyback rides from Darnell Washington and having a good time.
As a beavers and packers fan, I’m very excited and confident to watch Luke develop into a solid player throughout the potential seasons
Allways remember many of these players are drafted with special teams in mind
As a Michigan state fan and a bears fan I hope Jayden Reed is like Jalen Raegor for the packers but preforms really well elsewhere
I really like the double down of the TE's, but I'm just not sure about our WR pick. I don't like Hyatt but Downs or Tillman were probably better options. B-
yeah, Hyatt could be a bust, Tillman is better.
Trust me you're going to love him, especially paired up with the wr core they already have he's definitely a sleeper but he's a dawg
@@Christian2496529 I hope.
Amari rodgers never get a chance...
On a side note, with Jace Sternberger lighting it up in the USFL and knowing Green bays playbook already maybe he could be a great addition to this young and talented TE locker room.
Seriously?
That bridge has been burned
@@mbcudatree That bridge should never have been built...and if either of the two TEs drafted yesterday turns out the same...that kind of thing could result in a new GM
Any chance you could elaborate how that bridge has been burned? First I've heard about this.
@@hans2five he got suspended and the Packers cut him after he got off suspension
Amari Rodgers had a higher RAS score than Amon Ra St. Brown, and GB almost always takes the higher RAS guy, even though St. Browns game tape showed he was a real baller. This time it appears GB took a flyer on a guy with a lower RAS score, but has a real work ethic and is fiercely competitive. Will Jayden Reed make up for the Amari Rodgers/St.Brown mistake??
My friend, analyst, Projected Washington late 3rd, Perfect. Some Athletics weakness , Raw.
But in trouble with Reed, 4-5 round projection.
so, finaly, not a bad day 2.
