The Krusty Krab uniforms are black shirts, so when Squidward quits the Krusty Krab, he takes his black shirt off offscreen, and that's why he has another shirt in the next scene. He then puts it back on when he is homeless because he associates the Krusty Krab with trash. That's our story, and we're sticking with it. ;)
