- Let's see, how to download and configure mysql jdbc driver in eclipse ide. In this session, we are going to see how to download mysql jdbc driver/connector and configure it in eclipse. We will also create table to store student information.

Add external Jars option is greyed out even after clicking on JRE System library in libraries section.. How to enable?
It should enable after clicking on JRE system library. But let me check it on my machine.
Same issue!
After clicking on configure build path scroll up there you will find the option module path right click once on it and then you will have option to add external jar file

Its due to your driver/jar is not configured properly
Do I need to add this in my system variable? Many tutorials do that but this version only has one jar file.
You can just add that jar as shown in the video.
It will work properly.

after opening mysql cmd line i enter the password and then it closes on its own can i do it in gui mysql instead of cmd line client?
Yup. you can do that.

Why do we need to change perspective just asking
Changing perspective will show you more relevant option in menu bar that you may need to use frequently.
After add the jar file I am getting error like no suitable drive found what I have to do?

While trying to use MySql Client it asks for password at the beginning , I'm not sure what password I need to use , and once enter any password it just closes . How to resolve this

That file is showing winrar file how to convert it into executable jar file
Just extract it using any tool
I didn't get executable jar file after downloading and extracting the zip file. I follow the same way to download and extract the file. If anyone knows the issue, please let me know and help me to download/find the executable jar file

Perspective isn't opening
Can you please try below.
In Eclipse, Go to window > Perspective > Open perspective > Other.
And then it'll open one list of all perspective, you can choose any one.

When you open the configure build path window, you have libraries under that click on JRE system library
Then you can add jars
