If you're not seeing the right-click options, it's most likely because you don't have an Outlook for business subscription. The personal versions of Outlook for Web unfortunately don't support shared mailboxes.
You can remove a shared mailbox at a later time if desired, it's not a permanent change. Also adding a shared mailbox should not log you out of the Outlook Web app.
There is another option you could try with the Outlook Web App open. Click your profile icon in the top right corner. Select the "Open another mailbox" option and then you'll be prompted to type in the email address for the shared mailbox.

i'm not able to right click on folders, nothing pops up

Yes that could be the issue. The free version of Outlook has limited features.
