Wish more people would do this. Love seeing the difference between reticles and when it's shown I can make a better judgment on what I want to get. Thanks brother good video. Was always curious why these were so expensive. Cost as much as my rifle lol
Because they are extremely tough, very reliable as a sight, and do not need a battery but always have an illuminated reticle as well as being filled with a gas that prevents fogging and being forged out of aluminum that is small arms resistant. The sight uses fiberoptics and nuclear power to suck in light from your environment and keep the reticle bright but not too bright if the room is dark
Nothing like a peaceful day at the range. Now a days its almost impossible to go out shooting because ammo is hard to find. Just bought my acog today cant wait!!
The Clear Acrylic tube at the top house's the Red Fiber Optic cable that gathers light to power the Red Dot in the Daytime or when Natural light is present. At night or when no natural light is present the Optic or Red Dot is illuminated and powered by Nuclear Tritium. It uses no Batteries. Nothing to break..
thats just due to the camera iris. I can assure you these combat scopes are as good as they come in person. Sometimes the reticle gets a bit too bright and I would put a little piece of duct tape over the fiber optic, works just fine then.
For what it's worth, I've been using a knock off ACOG w/ Red Dot Docter Sight on top of it just as you describe : In medium to close range engagements the dot is quick and easy to find in a split second and has allowed me to get the job done quickly even in the heat of the moment. So yea, it's not the greatest thing, but it DEFINITELY works nice as a medium/close range quick target acquisition system... pulling the gun to firing position, and finding sight picture with red dot works perfect
Mr MrFack I would still get the horseshoe. The Horseshoe has three illuminated markers for elevation. The top of the Horseshoe, the little dot in the center of the horseshoe and the bottom of the horseshoe. This way you can make consistent changes in your elevation, depending on how far or close your target is by using one of these three markers for your point of impact. With the Chevron you only get one. The top point of the Chevron. There are also lead markers with the horseshoe, very beneficial for tracking a moving coyote or target.
The Fiber Optic powers the Red Dot in the Daytime or when Natural light is present. I took this video in the shade so there wasn't much natural light, so that why the red dot seems dim. At night the Optic is powered by Nuclear Tritium. Uses no Batteries ever. Nothing to break..
Thank you for this video, I have a question. I have seen a model of the acog that has the reflex sight mounted on top of the acog. could i find a acog with the reticle you have that has the reflex sight mounted on top of it?
nice i just put up 3 vids that are fun. dont miss them. i take my cousin i have not seen in 15 years to the lodge whom i work for and from stephen king movie the shining. to the brewery i work at for food to order the stork sandwich named after me. i take him hiking to waterfalls and to my survival shelter. super fun stuff. take a look at my last 3 vids i put up today
I have not seen this model ACOG with the reflex sight mounted on top. In my opinion the small reflex or red dot sight mounted on top is a waste of money. Yes it works for aiming in very close quarters up to 25 yards. But when a person or threat can cover 21 feet of ground in 1 second. You won't have time to line your eye up to that tiny Red Dot / Reflex sight.
This isnt the fakecog? Jw because I just inherited some amazing rifles pistols other optics and the only fake was the acog 4x. Put it on my ar works great! Downfalls are obviously the eye relief just like on the real ones I used in the military and no tritium...The fiber optic works just as good as the real ones. Anyways I noticed on yours it has no turret cap wires making me think that it is the same as mine and hey so be it! Works great.
All those gun accessories and ahhh the 30 round level P-MAG. I'm crying a like a lil' baby now. lol By the way check out Trijicon's main site. If you heard about the new SRS red dot optic.
And? Optics are one of the most important parts of a weapon system, and the most technologically advanced. A 950$ DPMS build will put holes .7 MOA out of the box, OFF THE SHOULDER, with good ammo. Why spend more on the rifle when any more only gives tradeoffs, rather than benefits? The difference between cheap and quality glass is remarkable, like looking through oil vs being closer. Rule of thumb for any serious long distance shooter is that the scope costs at least as much as the gun.
Cool, so don't complain when people keep buying Chinese clones that are half-ass decent, which will only get better. For what most people do, $1,000+ optics are overkill.

Hi! It's been 11 years, did you manage to find more ammo?

Yes worth the money. Sight is much clearer and red dot is much brighter in person. They don't record well on video for some reason.

Target is at 150 yards.

was looking for a video exactly like this for awhile. Thanks for the vid and the reply.
very cool, think im going to get one of these for my first optics. might aswell just go all out in my opinion.
Just this once, sensei.
Yes worth the money!! You should see it in person. Video doesn't do it Justice!
wow, so damn clear!

wow thats some clear glass\
if its that close, roll the rifle 90 deg left (ejection port up) and look down the barrel like a shotgun.
I really want a new optic and it's between this and the new HAMR with delta dot. Both receive amazing reviews but still not sure, any thoughts?
I just got this model on Valhalla Armory for 1100 bucks. Yes the Horseshoe modle
were did you buy that ACOG? all the Acogs I see online are almost 2 grand
ahh, the wonders of technology :P

On a standard a2 or a4 set up the fixed front fight will be in the way a little. A flip
Is this the same reticle on al m4 carbines?
Please answer asap. If you lost your a cog and needed a new one, would you rather get a Horseshoe reticle or Chevron? and why

A flip down front sight works best.
What's that clear thing ontop of the acog
One question to Picassohq:Is it worth the money?

No this isn't a fake ACOG. It's a Trijicon model TA31H. 4X power.
is that 100 yards?
should i get a new ACOG or a new set of iron sights?
All those gun accessories and ahhh the 30 round level P-MAG. I'm crying a like a lil' baby now. lol
By the way check out Trijicon's main site. If you heard about the new SRS red dot optic.
Nice, 100m?
What are the sizes of the black circles?
6 inch diameter at 150 yards
worth the $1200?
@a707NorthBayer Rock River Arms Quad / Half Rail.

eye relief too short?
what the utility of the optic fiber at 0:07
OK. What is 6 inch st 150? Human face?
Yes.
Blair 150 Yard Shoot! RRA AR-15 Comp Elite w / Trijicon TA-31H
No, just in general. Countless videos of low/mid tier AR-15's using high end optics.
I don't like how the reticle gets washed out.
@Danstheman1357 And the optic will last forever.
Honestly the reflex is a waste of money. The illuminated reticle acts as its own "aimpoint/reflex" and you can fire it with both eyes open.
Yes, Horseshoe.. Thus TA31-H
my dream optic, i need to save up alot more to get it though
Well, except that in 10 or so years the tritium has to be replaced. :P
your not being serious i hope...
I have an acog (see my videos), it is worth every penny!
Optics Planet has the best deals on ACOG's. Go to Opticsplanet . com search ACOG
Garcia Amy Martinez Mark Jackson Helen
put your eye about an inch from your pc screen and thats about the size haha
A flip
I TAKE SQUIRREL HUNTING VERY SERIOUS!
