I love Tim's "It's never going to end" as well. Especially because it's also the genesis of one of Morrison's thesis' for their Batman run, "Batman and Robin will never die!", which is both hopeful and sad (and meta) in equal measure in the run.

This little series was my first real comic book reading experience and so it will always be special for me. Morrison's JLA remains peak comic book fiction. Nothing newer compares to it.

I love Sal's Grant Morrison impressions, but I love his Alan Moore impressions even more. You need to do more, more, more Alan Moore stories pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase.

PS: If anyone's interested, there's a three-issue mini-series called 'JLA: Paradise Lost' by Mark Millar and Ariel Olivetti that follows up on what Zauriel did in between his introduction here and his later return to the main JLA title, and it goes into his backstory as a Guardian Angel who fell in love with the mortal woman he was supposed to be guarding, and left Heaven to be with her (but not before overhearing Asmodel's plans to overthrow the Presence, hence the Bull Angel Host following him to Earth in the first place) - it's actually a pretty good story in my view, yes...?

My money is that is either the Christmas special or the 500th (then again depending on when 500 hits it could also either be dark crisis or Death metal )

@@creed8712 God I can't wait for that death metal video. I read it in its chronological order and I was surprised at how great it was and how emotional it got towards the end. Much better than the first metal book

Grant Morrison clearly also showing that Wally West is faster then Superman, able to catch up to a falling flaming car, disassemble it and then to reassemble it closer to Superman before Superman could make it to the car

Ben’s idea of putting a little deus ex machina in each dream and that leading to Batman figuring it out was a great idea.
First ever comic/graphic novel that I ever owned. Confused the ever loving crap out of my 7 year old mind, and I loved it.
Me too! Seems like a random place to start but I was hooked by the weirdness and lore, and Morrison's JLA remains unequaled in my mind.

Jesus Christ I have known of T.O Morrow since season one of young justice and I never realized it was tomorrow until now.
I like that you've been doing a lot of arcs from iconic runs that aren't just the first arc lately (this, the second arc from Sandman, the third arc from New Avengers, the third arc from McFarlane's Spider-Man, the fourth arc from Snyder's Batman). It allows for some really interesting and unique episodes that are different from what you'd get if you just did first arcs and event stories.
Gotta love a new back issues when you get off work…..keep up the great content and wish you all nothing but the best!

I was about 17/18 when this came out, and Morrison's JLA was my first real gateway to the DC Universe proper after reading John Byrne's 'Man of Steel' a few years earlier when I was a kid, and I honestly don't think it's really been topped since...

I love how ben went from not remembering which universe certain heroes and villains are to remembering and referencing all these deep cuts.
I'm not kidding, I just read the first story last week, and imagined right after how sal would explain it to Ethan and ben. I almost perfectly predicted how he talked about metamorpho's funeral! XD
I love how Key in the story exposits to the max about his increased power, and finishes with "Also, I have started to talking to myself..."
Id be down for a series by Ethan where he just goes through dumb science in comics and critiques it and gives the closest possible alternatives that are possible with our current technology.

I just still can't believe Grant Morrison used The Key, and DIDN'T use the version with the regular-sized head and tiny body piloting a robotic exo-shell around. I still remember being floored by that as a kid...
The Key showed up in Justice League Unlimited final season (the one with the Legion of Doom).

Funny how Morrison had Superman fight angels again in the new 52 action comics. I wonder what the fixation is. New mythology vs old?
I read these stories as they were being released. I've always felt that Tomorrow Woman should have been in the comic for about 6 months a day had her own 4 issue miniseries so that the readers could have gotten to know her and feel like she was an actual character, instead of a plot device.
I have to admit that because I’ve never read T O Morrow’s name and only ever heard it in stuff like Young Justice I never realized that his name was tomorrow
First time with signal since Ian landed on us. Don’t know if I’ll have it for a while or if it’ll go out again still no power but we are thankful to be alive. Love you guys and thanks for always making me laugh

The way this was one of my first JLA comics as a kid
I was a bit disappointed that these stories weren't covered in their other Morrison JLA episode since they were in the same volume, but I'm thrilled they got a standalone episode treatment!

I seem to remember that at least at one point Lucifer was stated to be the most powerful being in the DC universe after God.

1:02:20 I know it's a different series. But there is an episode of TNG where the teleporting causes two "copies" of someone to exist. So, I'm with Bones on the teleportation debate, lol.
Family Guy did the same thing too. Stewie and Brian tried to teleport to Vegas but it created two of them. one pair teleported, the other didn't

My main complaint about Grant Morrison’s run on JLA is that they write a battle that included Animech and Mangatron and didn’t have Kyle Raynor involved in that fight.
