but i feel the public transportation built eases our lives. Not saying that the corruption is good
its just like buying a bmw with a high bank loan. feel very happy at first. end of month feel sad cause no money tobpay back
of course is good to have transportation, but what important is that it has to be accessible. Seeing in overseas for example in melbourne, walking distance from ur home will have at least 1 bus stop for u to catch the bus and surprisingly these buses arrive to the bus stop not that late than +- 3 minutes from the scheduled time. Note that the scheduled time is not in digital form but in printed form. how can they implement that? because their road is designated to give priority to the bus to move first at the signalised intersection.
whereas in malaysia, buses always arrive late due to road congestion, mismanagement of the buses company, drivers not being professional. Also u have to walk as far as 1km to the nearest bus station, with the tremendous growth of crime rates in malaysia especially as women, will u dare to walk alone to these bus stations? lack of signalised intersection for pedestrian to even cross the road even at the state of federal. There are lots of things that have to be restudied and replanned by the authorities to build a perfect transportation system. By pumping in money to increase the options of public transport will not solve the root issue of our transportation system, there are a lot more need to be done. I have confidence in our current federal government lead by PH. Personally i'm a civil engineering student who specialize in transport engineering graduated from Australia university. There are definitely a lot more young people like me who can contribute to the country if the country needs them
Cycling is a better option. Why throw so much money for a crappy form of transport?
Twisted information provided by DAP. Important criteria of debt representation should be based on % of GDP and not total debt. Debt during Tun Mahathir's time was higher at 103.4% of GDP, twice of current rate of 50%of GDP. In 1985 : our GDP was at RM83.6 billion, current GDP in 2018 : RM1466billion ringgit. You need to examine the capability of a country financing their debt obligations, external ownership,denomination and credit rating of a country. Malaysia had BB credit rating by Fitch during Tun Mahathir's time :Non-investment grade speculative. Currently : our credit rating indicates Upper medium grade of A-(stable). Tun Mahathir had a higher risk of defaulting country's debt during his time compared to current government. Our credit did not inch down since DS Najib took over the administration in year 2009 and we should get a boost in year 2021/2022 if BN continues to rule. PKFZ was coined during Tun Mahathir's time.
