Hi James between yourself and Raz you guys are the reason I’m back in with the hobby , thanks for all your vid’s and information, I also have a Scorched 1/7 limitless build going on , David is a tidy guy ! 👍👍👍
YES SIR.!! Thanks ol buddy, for taking your time out and making these vids.!! Seriously.! I KNOW the 10hr days 7 days a week, and that's DRAINING...BUT we love our RC cars and will be out there playing when the works done...FOSHO.! 💪
Thanks, James! Another excellent video! I’m building a completely Scorched RC Infraction and will be single motor with titanium Trident shaft set and Scorched hubs and Rotor-lock motor mount and the flat carbon upper brace. All beautiful machine work! Appreciate your videos man!
I really respect the amount of time you must put into your builds. I know it’s not easy when you also work a full time job. I’ve put in countless hours myself early in the morning before work in order to break the 160 mph mark with a Wltoys 1/12 scale. You’re truly an inspiration.
Awesome buddy! Beautiful build they surely are the parts we need! Bigger bearings! I’m glad we have more options to go to for the weak links in these cars! Thanks for the update! Great video! 👍👍👌
This is great stuff man and I love the fact that u don’t edit way better in real time 🎉this is what ppl are use to not all that edit stuff where ppl can’t tell what’s when going on lol Anywsys thank u sir for cheering with us and showing us how to become like J/m The one and only James McCoy and I’m waiting for that truck build I’ve been driving u bananas lol to see that however I understand how life gets busy brother and again thank u for allowing us to come along for the ride ❤
That build looks really nice. I have quite a few scorched parts on a couple of my Limitless's. Hard to find good roads over here in the UK, found one & cracked 100mph, & finished the year 111mph. Waiting for the warmer weather to run my new Hobao. Another great video James keep it going👍👍.
I try not to bother you but man….life is nutz when your hobby and real life can be in the same place. Scorched is the best. Nice to spend 16 minutes with you. ❤
Hey James. I know you’re super busy and I know this about a year ago since you posted this vid. I’m new to RC, but I jumped into it because I instantly fell in love with speed running. The problem I keep having is, I think I do enough research and order parts/cars etc. then I find out the hard way, that I purchased incorrectly. For instance, bought a brand new limitless v2 and bought a perfect pass glossy GT Chassis, then realized, I can’t use the body the limitless comes with. So now I guess I have to eventually get a gt body. But, my build I have in mind is actually two identical cars just like yours but all perfect pass and whatever perfect pass can’t provide, I intend to get from scorched. I know these two companies are the top tier of this sport/ hobby and honestly scorched prices are not all that bad considering all the R&D that goes into the parts. A lot of the parts you showcased,, including the hubs are sold out everywhere. My goals are, to click the fastest 3s powered on single motor top speed and then the other car I’m going dual and aiming for 230moh. I have built drag FWD all motor cars for twenty years but in all honesty, this knowledge I have means squat with these cars. Any tips to help me NOT waste more money? Maybe a build list of mandatory parts?
your are speed master. today I finally got time to run my new build $$$$. I hit air and a stop sign all I saw was wheels and patch flying. 800$ parts gone I should’ve of started slow it’s too cold in jersey. I was too much pumped up hit 181mph
Love your videos bro....I just want to see what you have under the hoods....pop your tops off after your runs plus your gearing would be helpful please 🙏 ❤️
One more question. Do you have to use spacers on the front bumper support, the part that connects to the shock tower? The front end has that kick up so it doesnt sit flush. Also do you use the foam piece? Thanx again for all the help.
Doing a great job. Always looking for your videos. I like the HOBAO’s a lot. Done 2 builds with them. Is there a rear diffuser that can be retrofitted? I tried an ARRMA, but I did a lousy job. Good luck in 23!!!
The carbon shafts are great , But on the front of the Arrmas these Trident shafts really perform fantastic with less imput bearing failures, Paired with the new diff housings the bearings are going to be a non issue
Quick question Mr. McCoy, I noticed that you have cv axle dog bones in the rear. Is it necessary for scorched rear hubs with the hobao locked diffs? And if so, do the front fit in the rear?
James any knowledge or ideas you have to say I'm all ears. I appreciate the knowledge and builds that you have shown us. I have yet to build a speed run car myself. Is the gt style body and infraction/truck body the same width?
Ordered the vte2 mate just gunna have to pay to have it sent away when can afford the electronics and scorched shafts etc quick one bro if just doing 4s speed runs with it could I use the scorched front and rear diff lockers aswell as the spool and it would be ok or am I asking for something to break if use both front and rear 😆 also do you think you could fit a max6 in there were it goes on stock chassis and not be exposed or anything mate motor is gunna be tp 4070 27t pinion and not sure what size be good for spool on stock mount mate any ideas and tips on possible speed and outcome be apreciaited mate 🙏💚👊
I just can't wait weeks for a delivery. He should get on amazon for the USA customers, and stock parts stateside. I like the parts but not willing to wait for the delivery.
The delivery times from Scorched are not bad at all. My challenge has been finding everything I want in stock at the same time. Well, that and smuggling the box inside so my wife doesn't see the prices on the packing slip.
Great video James. Sincere thanks for your help and support this year. There’s only 1 man who can test my parts at 200mph!

Scorched is definitely upping the RC game. Amazing parts. Really appreciate you taking the time to go through the build.
Always great to see new stuff coming out and seeing people go faster.
Thank you for the info James! I just picked up a felony to build a speed runner!
Thanks, James! Another excellent video! I’m building a completely Scorched RC Infraction and will be single motor with titanium Trident shaft set and Scorched hubs and Rotor-lock motor mount and the flat carbon upper brace. All beautiful machine work! Appreciate your videos man!

Some nice looking bling there from scorched parts.James . Finally got some diffs coming. My hit you up for some tips on the Hobao gear swap. 👍
You’re an awesome guy James! Thanks!
Merry Christmas, James! I’ve learned a lot from you and appreciate the time you have put into making videos!

Love the channel. Thanks for the great content. Can't wait to build a rig this new year.
Awesome build there, thanks for sharing.
Are those GPM front arms and turnbuckles ?
Yes they are
your are speed master. today I finally got time to run my new build $$$$. I hit air and a stop sign all I saw was wheels and patch flying. 800$ parts gone I should’ve of started slow it’s too cold in jersey. I was too much pumped up hit 181mph

Great Build, Which Black and Silver springs/shocks are those, Brand?
Thanks ,
The shocks are just some off Amazon, I rebuild them the way I like anyways so they work out ok
How do you like the version 2 top brace?
Great Vid bud keeps me motivated in my builds up her in the great white north lol not so great
Thank you
Can you please let me know how did the lock diff do in your car
One more question. Do you have to use spacers on the front bumper support, the part that connects to the shock tower? The front end has that kick up so it doesnt sit flush. Also do you use the foam piece? Thanx again for all the help.
Yes you will use spacers

I dont think theres a good to fit a stock chassis without a good bit of work
Hi sir I have a question? How would I go about geting a set of ur battery’s for speed runs
Do you run front and rear braces or do you find the center torsion bar to be enough? Love the build BTW she's freaking beautiful 😍
Thank you, I dont run front or rear braces
Looking forward to seeing all the new content, unedited is much better imo. What's the advantage of the new scorch shaft over the carbon shafts?
The carbon shafts are great ,
But on the front of the Arrmas these Trident shafts really perform fantastic with less imput bearing failures,
Paired with the new diff housings the bearings are going to be a non issue
@@jamesmccoy204 thanks for your feedback 😎
Have you tried the perfect pass carbon fibre shafts
Yes , Im the original tester for perfect pass carbon shafts, I still run them in numerous cars
Nice brother as all ways I have decided to sell mine with xlx2 and all
Quick question Mr. McCoy, I noticed that you have cv axle dog bones in the rear. Is it necessary for scorched rear hubs with the hobao locked diffs? And if so, do the front fit in the rear?
Yes when running the Hobao lockers in the Scorched cases you do have to run the front cvds in the rear, they fit perfectly
@@jamesmccoy204 ok appreciate it
Hey, bro, have you a link for the bsr tires? Thx
Just BSR purple, I true them to my liking
James any knowledge or ideas you have to say I'm all ears. I appreciate the knowledge and builds that you have shown us. I have yet to build a speed run car myself. Is the gt style body and infraction/truck body the same width?
Thank you , the Infraction and gt bodies are about the same width, the WR bodies are wider
All of this is really great, but I wish someone would address the problem with the slop in the front upper hinge pin.
The slop is in the arms , doesn't effect anything BUT its easily fixed with aluminum arms or a grub screw in the arm at the pivot point
@@jamesmccoy204 Thanks
Always look to see your videos. Will you be doing anymore with the open wheel limitless V2?
Thank you, Definitely will have the limitless v2 back out in the upcoming season
Nice car looks expensive what can size n kv is the motor
Tp 4080 2022kv
Let’s talk about them sweet snap on tool boxes couldn’t take my eyes off them 😂
Thats only about half of my boxes, all full of tools
@@jamesmccoy204 shit I believe that there really sharp boxes my old man had the old baby blue and white ones slap full also
I just can't wait weeks for a delivery. He should get on amazon for the USA customers, and stock parts stateside. I like the parts but not willing to wait for the delivery.
Good things come to those that wait. UPS express can be used by those who don’t want to wait 😉
David also offers ups express to cut that time , Island hobby nut stocks some of the Scorched line also
The delivery times from Scorched are not bad at all. My challenge has been finding everything I want in stock at the same time. Well, that and smuggling the box inside so my wife doesn't see the prices on the packing slip.
