    I'll build exactly that. I need ten days of continuous shooting to capture mycelial growth. Lovely that you've proved this works, thank you for the efforts!
    Edit: Just got done building it, works like a charm. Used clipped off nails instead of copper rods. Thanks again!

    Hi there! how is this mod holding in 2021? I'm interested in doing it myself, but I'm concerned that the input voltage of the battery is 4.2V/3.7V rather than the 5V you mentioned, did you had any problems after the shooting of this video? thanks for your work, keep it coming!

      Yeah, Its working very well.
      The sticker power requirement in the camera and on the Nikon website states that the camera can be used with 4.2/3.7 VDC with 0.8/0.9A respectively, so as my Powerbank supplies 5v i used the 4.7 VDC .
      The 4.2 VDC is the nominal voltage of the battery thus 5 VDC equals to 100% charge level.
      As with any DIY project through research and learning is required from your part.
      This project went very well for me and i still use this without any problem to this day.
