- Justin Allgaier said he got so worked up over having to drive the 5 car in today's Coca-Cola 600 that her nearly threw up. He was the backup driver all along, in the long list of contingencies Hendrick Motorsports and Kyle Larson didn't want to have to use but were forced too when mother nature rained on their 200 lap parade in Indianapolis.
The rain delay in Indy kept Larson there to race the Indy 500 with plans to make it to the Coke 600 to at least complete the NASCAR event. Ultimately mother nature defeated Larson on the NASCAR side as well, as he didn't get a single lap in the Coke 600.
Rain drenched the track and the race was declared official with 151 laps remaining. Justin spoke to the media about an hour before the decision was made to end the race.
This is why Justin is a fan favorite in Xfinity. I hope he gets his Championship this year.
He drives for Dale Jr, *and* is a series veteran
My dad is friends with Justin and iv been hoping for that Championship for a long time.
I never realized Justin was such a down to earth person, what a great man.
This guy might be the big personality that nascar needs. Hes such a funny guy.
Justin proves he belongs in cup series but nothing wrong with staying in Xfinity series. He just makes that series that much better. Good job Justin. Passes leaderto get back on lead lap.
When I heard Justin was going to start the car if needed, I knew they picked the right guy for the right day and he proved it. Outstanding job
If Justin was a 'stock' on an exchange, it's value
appreciated a ton after yesterday! Bringing the #5 car home 13th, is so huge for everyone involved the value cannot be measured.
I've watched Justin race from a kid and always liked the way he races around people with respect and always down to earth through his years racing and he's a Central Illinois boy who grew up 30 miles from me. He's always fun to watch on dirt or asphalt way to go Justin.🏁🇺🇸🏁👍
I'm not an Allgair guy, but he's a team player. All of the teams need a man like him on their team.
Amen! I wouldn't want to deal with that kind of pressure.👍🤠
Justin, your driving, attitude and humor makes you a TOTAL winner in life..Thank you!
Good attitude, comfortable speaker, competent driver, well done Justin....
What a first class human…..
Justin you are a credit to nascar also you love your kids and wife so much it shows in your face you are a champion in so many ways god bless you and your family we love you buddy
A great job done by all involved and a wonderful interview.
The funny thing is that if Larson came back and ended up winning the race Justin would actually have gotten the trophy and the credit due to the rules
Car owner points/ championship still in play.
Remember the 9 car was in the hunt last year, driver Chase was not.
@@CarolinaKid93 yes I’m aware Larson would’ve still been in the running but for that race specifically it would’ve been Justin
I never heard Justin talk before-what a great guy. I hope he has a great year for JR! Future Hendrick driver I bet.
He is going to be 38 in a week. As much as a like Justin, going to Hendrick is not going to happen.
In my opinion, they’re all great guys.
Their personality is as, or arguably, more important than their driving skills.
Like he said,”we’re in the entertainment business “..
Adderall be like that
@@brandonrunde4036 He's 38....man I'm old. I can think of at least 15 cars in cup that would be better with him right now.
God bless you Justin you did an awesome job and you deserve a cup ride.
You did a great job stepping into a car that you have never driven. Yosemite hat off to you Justin.
What a great guy. Always look for him to win in xfinity and hoping for a championship this year for him. He is such a great driver and example we need in racing.
JA is an awesome person. Big fan love how humble he always been. #7 is a champion in my book hope he gets it this year.
Great press Justin. Awesome content.
I’m not a Chevy guy, I’m a Ford guy, thus not a Hendrick guy but an RFK guy. That said, Larson and Allgaier both turned in absolutely stunning performances. My hat’s off to both.
If jrm gets a cup team you should be the driver
😂😂 do you realise what I costs
25 mill pre car 😂😂😂😂
Brad was asked about 3rd car 😊
This guy is legend, He needs a great ride in the cup.
Justin is such a class act! Hendricks would be Happy to Have Him as Their Driver!
Justin you are a class act you have been a great asset to NASCAR for many years you did a fantastic job Thanks for all you do.
This is why I cheer you on every week Justin! You're a class act!
Very classy guy and good for NASCAR he has talent and represents well
This young man needs a ride and a great team. 👍
Awesome job 👍
Whyd you loop this multiple times brother haha
Justin drove his ass off nothing to be down over finishing 13
Yeah what’s up with the big head hats these days
You did a great job, Justin I was proud of you. Get ready for next year.
It would be so cool if JRM could get a cup charter and put Justin in it. He's become a staple of JRM and he definitely has what it takes to be competitive in cup. He's definitely better than at least 15 or 20 of the current cup drivers
Hopefully that makes up for Saturday. Guy had the winning car and wrecked
allgaier did a great job
thisll definitally help his career in the future too
NASCAR had it's popularity questioned Sunday as it had to go head to head with the Indy 500, which drew almost a 4.0 rating to NASCARs 2.0. Since both were on linear TV fans had free access to both races and now I see why Indy car is often on NBC and NASCAR is on FS1, and even PIckleball and golf are broadcast on Fox linear channels. Ratings will plummet next year when this race goes to streaming and fans have to pay to watch it.
You can't compare the INDY 500 to the Coca Cola 600 and you can't compare access to NBC vs. access to FS1. If I am not mistaken, NASCAR regularly destroys the Indycar in the ratings.
Justin ran the whole race I’m glad it ended the way it did . Nature spoke that’s it
His phone is going to ring after that performance
Justin is great awesome to see him in the 5 car
Gave the car a hell of a run, for the amount of time he had in it, nothing to be ashamed of
Justin is awesome. He should be proud of himself, he did a great job!!!
Allgaier deserves a trophy.
If the race with on, they should’ve just left Justin in the car cause he was doing a hell of a job
I love Cliff notes lol
Give him the car for a complete race...... He would have brought home a top ten possibly top 5 awesome driver!!!
I like this guy, you have a new fan
I saw plenty of Daisy Dukes and Cowboys boots yesterday
Justin, you did a great job
Someone tell me why allgair has never gotten offered a cup ride? It seems criminal, guy has talent.
He ran Cup years ago. Probably 3 seasons. Settled in at JRM trying to get a Championship, but just keeps getting snake bit.
@@CarolinaKid93 what team was he with?
And he has a GREAT personality. ..I enjoyed him and his great interview..Sending lots of blessings to you and your family...Stay happy..
His daddy don't have enuff money
@@jaredchampagne2752
He ran a number of years of Busch, several years for H Scott ??? Motorsports. Brandt sponsored him for Cup as well staying with him in the Busch. Obviously he's not some driver whore bouncing around team to team, but a real decent guy enjoying his employment at JRM. He's content, just needs to have some luck for the "last" race of the year. You can have a solid year, best of the rest, and lose the championship in the last race. That's his luck.
Great job Justin
Good job ,Justin
Classy guy!
He needs to full time in the cup whoever don’t grab have lost their mind lol
The whole situation seems odd to me. I know the substitute driver thing if a driver has an emergency or gets sick an alternative driver is accepted. But a fill in driver can run 400 miles then the "star" driver can hop in at the end and everything is legit? Seems like that could be abused. Does the car, manufacturer/team and driver or both drivers get scored and get points.
The "star" driver wouldn't get credit for the win or the points because they didn't start the race.
Justin did great.
That's a good woman right there that can coach you when your down, ca
How many words did he say during this interview.
Id like to see what he could do full-time in a Hendrick car
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Put him in the # 48
I don’t know why you did that for
The arrow team wasn't prepare d Kyle didn't get enough laps in to understand the car..arrow even let their regular drive down
Who is Kyle Larson?
Good dude! Thanks that keeping the finders on it for Larson although he got robbed of the chance of being on the list. Fu(k off Nascar!
Gator's a goat!
❤️
You might consider honoring Justin by spelling his name correctly.
Oof! Fixed!
ohhh justin .... going to europe on the wrong side of the road ?? pleeese .
Good job little gator
I am willing to bet if you took Cliff Daniels off of Kyle, Larson, he would never ever win nearly as many races as he does. Like, when you took away, Chad Knaus and Jimmy Johnson, the magic was gone.
Jimmy never won anything of note without knaus…. Kyle won races in an inferior ganassi on occasion.
@@aaronb4936 but it was very rare
😂
@@chrisdadigger1018it was rare because Ganassi cars were inferior and really had no business winning a race if it didn’t have a wheel man like Larson driving it. Thats the point.
Spell his name right bro! Be a proper youtuber not a goof!
I could just say it was late and I was tired but I whiffed on that one! Fixed it! Thanks!
@@chris8video yeah buddy
He sucked in the 5 car just sayin
Kyle choked trying to be the hero.
😂how so?
@@wew5499 He easily had a top 10 if not a top 5 finish in his sights. All the work the last year setting him up for the double and he blew the pit entry. That's all him. Just shows you everyone is human.
dude is annoying. has to say "right" after almost every sentence as most of the other drivers talk the same way ive noticed
I just wanted to give him some cliff notes 😅 no pun intended
Gotta love Justin. 7 car gonna get that championship this year, Justin is a top notch driver. If he was in the 5 every week, the 5 would win and contend for titles just like it does with Larson in the car. I like Alex Bowman, but I feel like Justin would have done better and that 48 would be one you must beat every week. Should have been his ride. I’m sure glad Justin’s in the 7 and the Xfinity series is the better of the 2 series. Every week the Xfinity race is the best NASCAR series, far better than Cup.
I've been wanting Allgaier to get a good chance in cup for many years. I was so happy to see him in the 5 car and do so well in it
"I was ready for the driver swap, he was not" Poor Kyle, last thing you want is your crew chief to say "No driver swap please" XD
I think people need to relax and realize Kyle is a good driver but he's not that great. Remember only won 2 races in Earnhardt/Ganassi cars. There's other drivers that are just as good
@user-io6ir3xe9eAlex bowman seems to be doing a pretty good job at losing in HMS equipment.
Well considering you called it Earnhardt even though they left in 2014, his first win was in 2016, and got the number of wins he got with ganassi wrong your credibility takes a hit there
