    I don’t have too much of a background with algebra or calculus. I don’t understand why we are using estimations. 5:41 it’s straightforward but i’m confused

    I was kinda looking forward to see you find the derivative of TR to find MR. LOL

    Could you please put number on each video, so I can watch in the right order?

    hello, thanks for this video it is very informative!
    I've just one question, if we calculate the marginal return by using the Mr curve= -2q+6 versus finding marginal return by writing out a table of total revenue, and calculating each change in total revenue at different quantities, I'll have different answer. why is that so??
    ie
    MR at Q=3, by MR equation:
    MR =-2Q + 6 =-2(3)+6 = 0
    but by calculating total revenue change:
    total revenue at Q=2
    TR(2) = -2Qsq + 6Q = -(2)sq + 6(2) = 8
    total revenue at Q = 3
    TR(3)= -2Qsq + 6Q = -(3)sq +6(3) = 9
    hence MR at Q=3 is:
    TR(3) - TR(2) = 1??

      // TR(3) - TR(2) = 1
      You're actually finding the secant line between TR(2) and TR(3), which is actually MR(2.5) = 1.
      Instead, if u try TR(2.9999) - TR(3.0001), the answer would be 0, which is MR(3) = 0.
      Keep in mind, MR is the derivative of TR (the change in TR/ change in Q as approaching LIMIT)

      @@trumanhung I still don't get it man. Been trying to understand this video for 2days and I'm stuck.
      I didn't understand how he calculated the slope of a tangent.
      How can a slope of a secant of a parabola at TR(5) and TR(9) gives the slope of a tangent at TR(8).
      Is this something to do with algebra? Can you suggest any video to understand this?

    Sir marginal revenue can be negative as written in books and tell me how??? but that means the shopkeeper is giving the commodity along with money is it possible !!!
    No it is not! So MR can not be negative
