My mother was ex Muslim. She heard about the Gospel when she was a child. American Christian missionaries would gather the kids in her village under a large tree and they would share the Lord Jesus' salvation. She received her first small Bible through the missionaries. She resolved to find a church that teaches the same message of salvation through Christ. When she was able to work, she found a Baptist church. She met my father and had 3 kids. We grew up in a Christian home. We were not rich. But the greatest treasure of all is knowing the Lord Jesus. Just like Timothy in the Bible, faith in the Lord Jesus started with my mother, then to my father, then was handed down to us kids.
My father and mother are already with the Lord. But I am always grateful that the Gospel message was preached to my mother at a young age. Having the Lord Jesus as Saviour is the greatest treasure of all.

I am listening from South Africa. I always enjoy yr sermons every day.
I listen to them again and again, but my favorite of favorites is the Questions and Answers because they align with my thinking and with scripture. Thank you Pastor Hammick, I love the way you teach the word of God with such humility, simplicity and wisdom.

I remember a time when my husband said something to annory me and made me angry, so I took it to the Lord and he lead me to exodus 14:14. "I will fight for you but you keep quiet". This is in answer to hearing God. I was reading Daniel, and had the urge to go to the commentary to study Daniel. It was with me for the length of reading Daniel. I didn't do it and when I finished reading the feeling went away. I now know it was God and I disobeyed Him. Had to repent. I know the study of Daniel was for my benefit and so I missed out. Love your teachings Ps Gary thank you for preaching the word rightly.

We walk by faith not by sight!! Without faith, it is impossible to please GOD. When we preach the gospel to ourselves and renew our minds and are Christ focused and not self focused, we can be used by the LORD!!

Me and my husband got married 3 months after we first met! We’ve now been married 10 years. God showed up we were meant to be. I agree waiting is a dangerous game and comes with lots of temptation. I believe God will show us if we are meant to be with someone very early on. Why wait!

I give PRAISE AND HONOR AND GLORY TO GOD FOR HIS GRACE! If not for HIS GRACE, I would not be here today.
You are TRULY BLESSED Pastor Gary. My Father, who I pray 🙏 is with THE LORD now, was a Pastor also, but he was imperfect, as we all are, and I saw this and I wandered for 50+ years.
GOD NEVER FORSOOK ME, and HE FORGAVE me and redeemed me.
PARENTS…KNOW THIS…LIKE IT OR NOT, YOU LEAD YOUR CHILDREN BY EXAMPLE…and they don’t miss much. YOUR LIVING EXAMPLE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN YOUR WORDS.

So how would you starve the hunger sin? Not eat? This was a great question for me because I struggle with this. Almost 30 years every day, every hour, every minute, food is on my mind. I HATE food because of how corrupt I feel eating. Unless it taste gross I feel I have sinned. I have tried scripture and accountability partners but I still “sneak” around it. Being a stay at home mom I can’t “get away” from the temptation because of the food I am always making my kids. For example. I am gluten intolerant. But if I make a BLT for my kids and it’s right there in front of me I cave. But I don’t want to deprive them because that’s what my mom did which led me to bad eating habits. So what do if do?

If you come to God as a needy sinner, and you receive Christ's blood sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins, believing that He died, was buried, and bodily resurrected three days later for our justification (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). If that is your only hope for eternal life, then you are immediately, securely and forever saved.

Do away with Old Testament scripture.
When Jesus was crucified and died for our sins, He fulfilled the law.
All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved and raptured...not of works, but belief in who Jesus is. Once we believe, we are His. The Holy Spirit leads us to good works, as our own works are worthless.
      Hallelujah! 🙏

@@gldesmarais9356 Matthew 5:17-19 : “Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law and the Prophets. I haven’t come to do away with them but to fulfill them. For i say to you truly, TILL THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH PASS AWAY, neither the smallest letter nor even the smallest stroke of a pen will be erased from the Law until everything there becomes a reality. Therefore, whoever ignores one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called the lowest in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps these commands and teaches people to keep them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 7:21-23 : “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’
James 2:14-26 : “My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it?
So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works.
You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe - and shudder!
But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he offered Isac his son on the slaughter-place?
Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?
And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And He called him, “he who loves God.”
You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone.
In the same way, was not Rahab the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.”
1 John 2:3-7 : And by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commands.
The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of God has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.”
1 John 3:4 : “Everyone doing sin also breaks the Law, for sin is lawlessness.”
1 John 5:3 : “For this is the love for God, that we keep His commands, and His commands are not heavy.”
2 John 1:6 : “And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands. This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.”
      Revelation 22:12-14
“And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work.
I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.”
      God bless you my friend.

And I am convinced that nothing can EVER separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
