    I have worked with the TWT for 22 years , and built the cathodes which goes in the Electron gun for 14 years. The cathodes are impregnated with Barium & Strontium within a furnace at 1700 degrees. Then the Cathode is sputtered with Tungsten & Osmium. The cathode is brazed at 1980 degrees. The electrons are generated and omitted by the heater inside the cathode when powered . The electron beam is focused by the magnets on both sides. I worked in the UK.

    Good explanation, however, the bunching effect would be better explained using a reference electron out of the 3 electrons. Bunching is one of the most difficult concept to grasp in these tubes and oscillators.

    I think there's a slight mistake as You mentioned that in +ve Half Cycle there will be Accelerating Force and in -ve Half Cycle there will be Resistive Force, but this point is contradicting the one you mentioned in your other video of Two Cavity Klystron Amplifier, also with the above point mentioned it is not possible for the electrons to form a bunch at the output of the slow wave structure as the gap between early and late electrons will increase more instead of decreasing. Please reply if I am right and make the pinned comment suggesting the changes as it is creating a bit of confusion.

      this is because the RF signal gets amplified gradually along the coil. Therefore, as the amplitude increases, the distance between consecutive electrons decreases even more.

    Y we r using attunator

    • @varruvaru4085
      @varruvaru4085 5 лет назад

      jv ramana bcoz helix travels high RF signal gain so attenuator will attenuate or loss the resestive Ness and produces constant gain ..... without an attenuator the device goes to damage
