Apparently there's an issue where if you pick the anti cheat on or off options the opposite effect will happen. So ticking the "anti cheat off" option actually launches the game with anti cheat on instead. Even outside the actual game MCC is still such a mess and 343 fan boys will still say it isn't buggy.

The 343 Fanboys suck and are killing Halo, they're the reason why 343 is getting away with all these issues with halo bc they act like there isn't a problem and call everyone else a toxic hater for pointing the negative issues with the games that need to be fixed to make their "precious" game better. They're always like "just ignore the problems and play the game its actually good if you don't pay attention to it." Meanwhile the 343 halos are bugged and broken like crazy making them unplayable to a majority of players and making people leave halo everyday.
Bc of these people its made 343 see that they can just make crap and be ok because there will always be a small amount of people who will pretend problems don't exist which is ruining halo bc 343 keeps making the same mistakes and having the same problems on each game they release.

    Solutions to this problem:
    1. IP/Hardware Bans (Can be easily circumvented sadly)
    2. Implementing a better anti cheat into Halo like BattlEye or VAC (Better than nothing)
    3. Microsoft growing a pair and filing suits against cheaters and cheat makers (Super effective strategy)
These people do not have the funding to take Microsoft on in a legal battle. They would get annihilated and make the rest of the cheating space think twice about cheating. you're not 100% safe on console either you have douchebags on there that use xim's to get kb/m controls with gamepad aim assist. But it's not as bad as people who fly around the map with aimbot among other things.
I play on PC because I like KB/M this game was fun a few years ago but online pvp in 2024 is awful because of online games being infested with cheaters. Unfortunately it's a problem with society and our culture on top of gaming developers being cheapskates and not developing competent anti-cheat solutions to games problems.

    • @luckeyjake14
      @luckeyjake14 6 месяцев назад +1

@oOignignoktOo1 True, you are not 100% safe even with Console. The issue is the power of the cheats and where they show up. Also, Microsoft allows you to play most Xbox games with a keyboard and mouse hooked up to the Xbox itself. So, the keyboard and mouse aren't the issues. It's cheating in general. The problem is that Anti-Cheat methods are a Bandaid solution in a Cross-play era. I'm not an expert in many areas, but I can say there is way more power in the hands of PC players. That power has been used by some for personal gain. That right there has stained PC players' reputations regardless if they do or do not cheat. The sad reality for some games that have been on Console for the majority of its lifetime to switch to Cross-play with PC and issues showing almost day 1 on newly releases. Halo Infinite is the best example of a Halo game. The majority of its lifetime being console exclusive, then when PC players joined in a couple of bad actors made it clear it's PC issue. The cheating has died down a lot a year later, but the same bad actors still use Walls because it's easy and hard to find. Anti-Cheat delays the inevitable.

I REALLY dont get why 343i implemented a 15 min ban for leaving matches ON A SOCIAL PLAYLIST. It is genuinely one of the stupidest ideas theyve had, specially because you can join on going games
Just past week I was playing some griff ball on mcc and some guy didnt want anyone to score and just wanted to reach timeout on EVERY ROUND. Thats 15 minutes of just smacking eachother. I matchmaked with him twice, the moment I realised he was there again I was having none of it and left and I somehow have to pay because someone just wants to waist my time
It is SO STUPID. Why do players have to be punished for leaving a social match? Why are we forced to play with cheaters and people who overall ruin the expirience? Best part is that you can even join custom games or firefight until the ban lifts

in a non competitive matchmaking setting, cheaters can make games more fun.
i remember playing CoD WaW like 10 years ago, i went into a zombies match and one of them was a hacker. he didnt do anything major. just did things that were fun like spawning random weapons, made weapons shoot differently, made it so we could all run faster. things like that. and because it was a pve thing, i think that type of thing is ok (as long as it doesnt boost any rank in some way)

people would do this all the time on black ops 2 aswell, but in the case of black ops 2 u dont even need a modded console or anything (if u played console, which a majority of people that played bo2 did) because the theater mode wasnt just videos, it played back actual gameplay, meaning those mod menu infections would work in theater mode

Unfortunately, there's probably not much they can really do to really detract from dealing with cheaters as it stands. If there were, then you'd actually see other games and devs come up with solutions to deal with them. Look at my game for years, Team Fortress 2, which was seemingly abandoned by Valve due to what I presume is fatigue from the Devs who have been working on that game for like, nearly 15-20 years now. Matchmaking is plagued with bots, to the point the best way to deal with them is to stop doing matchmaking and start playing on community servers. Preferably ones that have active moderators and admins that will remove people who are clearly cheating.

The biggest downfall for the halo franchise is opening the servers to pc players and making cross play unavoidable. The worst part is 343 knows these videos showing people how to do these hacks exists and they still won’t do anything. That’s also why it’s live service now too. No love, just revenue. No developer that has your best interest in mind would sit and let this happen all while selling you a helmet for 25 dollars.

But if they know that I’m putting my titanium taint on the silent and cold lips of my fallen adversaries I think they can figure out somebody’s using an aim bot. I laughed so hard when somebody teabags me. I don’t care how mad I am about losing it makes me bust out laughing still! Love that there are still immature. People playing the game, even in competitive mode, and just trying to keep some of the goofiness and Fun alive. I did accidentally kill myself in that match so maybe that’s what it meant by body desecration, something with suicide, but it was Lonewolf and it was one time by accident. Yeah idk about that, maybe the system could get reworked but I've had a HUGE issue with players quitting games when losing or when they don't get the power weapon they want right away or when they die in some way they don't like and its ruined hundreds of games for me while I've only ran into a couple minor cheaters. The reason people quitting is such a prolific problem, that I've seen other people site as the reason they left the game, is because the punishment for quitting is too light and often doesn't even apply. Kicks and reports need to be a real thing in the game, but if they removed even more stuff to allow people to quit whenever they want I would not play the game anymore.

Specifically on ranked h3 team slayer its a mess theres already AFK guys constantly and cheater/hacker comes up too often I've seen. N its such a limited player pool already... Its sad ur right. Ppl want to ruin already faltering game. I say just ply for it, go earn it... I didn't know the part about they can mimic your gamertag, quit, then you get a ban. Thats wild. I love halo so much been playing since very beginning of 360 H3 to 360 Reach now MCC I pretty much play all titles. The ban was already getting out of hand in first place, now against Modder obv dont want to lose, no option but to quit. Removing bans might not be solution though, or you'll end up with how 360 reach was with players who drop out in less than a minute. Needed to quit like 50 games in a row literally to get a one-time 10 minute ban. I played 53,000 match made games on 360 reach and far too many were hunting down one or two players gets annoying. They just need to go to the source with these modders. Glad you made this video you have large following to get attention to the issue here.. --- WAR x WITHIN

The problem with these program emulators/ESP's is that they are bought from online websites who rework them frequently so their subscribers can run rampant again and again no matter what the developers do to patch it.
Controller emulators with all sorts of aim and movement hacks are a whole other ball game because they run through controllers so there is nothing for the engine to actually detect unless something is built to assess the particular movement it enables.

I doubt 343 is going to fix this anytime soon considering how Microsoft aren't interested in the MCC anymore and focusing more on Infinite. It's a shame that publishers like Activision and Microsoft just completely ignore the classic games fans love and want to play and just let it be infested with malicious people. It's evolved to the point where it's not a matter of "this guy is using wallhacks or aimbot", it's the fact that cheaters can now get your IP, personal data like your bank details or anything stored on your PC and install malicious content onto your PC in the case of Call of Duty. I'm surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit in those cases where publishers aren't being held responsible for causing damage to those that fell victim to having their personal data exploited through their service which they refuse to maintain properly. Then again, its not like it would be a winning battle against the big company.

I just want to point out that developers aren’t simply “letting it go on” like Mint says in the beginning of the video. Obviously anticheat is always evolving and it has to in order to keep up, but the reality is that it’s a balancing act between catching more hackers and punishing innocent people, as well as impacting performance if it gets too intrusive.
For example, if they make it can people who are flying, people like Mint who do stunts that send them through the air could get banned. An even better example is aim botting, combating which always risks targeting people with really good aim that aren’t cheating.
Long story short, it’s not a simple problem that can just be solved if only the developers would put more effort into it. There’s a lot more nuance to it.

Its interesting that with recent news of the Battlefront Classic Collection not having cross play with Xbox, PC and PS and how that's a negative thing for people. I actually see it as a positive now because of how many cheaters there are on PC games nowadays. Sure it still happens on console but its way worse on PC. I used to think PC gaming was the pinnacle of the gaming experience and while that may still be the case graphically I would rather sacrifice graphics for less cheaters and play on console. EVERY PC game should have not only a robust anti cheat system but the ability given to the players to report without the need to wait for the devs to respond to a ticket. I haven't played MCC multiplayer in months because I ran into the same cheater 3 games in a row. Sad shit.

I think you overestimate a little how many cheaters come from pc. Plenty of PC games don't have cheaters either it comes down to the developers and the community of the game. The minor silver lining to no cross play is that you don't have to make a third party account to play online with friends. From what I heard Aspyr is too small a studio without the resources or manpower to easily coordinate cross play between the big four platforms making a whole backend account system

I miss when Cross-Platform was something to be excited about, but now I dread seeing it because it's never "Cross-Console" which is something I actually enjoy since it's a level playing field. But unfortunately the Console Wars exists and it's completely moronic, since it just means you have to play with the big boys on PC rather than hang out with other Console players.

Idk if theres really a solution for cheaters. Code is code. As many possibilities there are to code ways to stop cheaters, there are an equal amount of ways to code to get around those fixes. Even if youre having the code checked server side, that can be spoofed by altering packets before theyre sent.
Now, the method of punishing such hacks, like removing quick bans like you suggested, can be a positive change, just wont solve cheating as a whole. But it would remove a method of trolling others.
Additionally, before anyone suggests it, hardware/IP bans wouldnt work either. Those can also be spoofed.
Can some of these make it *harder* to cheat = less cheaters? Yes/no. Its only harder for a short time until one finds the solution, then its usually just as easy as it always has been for the bulk majority of the rest of the cheaters. A simple program install and youre good to go.

You could still use a vpn on console. VPN software doesn’t need to run on the device you’re using. You can put a physical device between your Xbox and gateway and it will just route through a vpn tunnel.

Cheating is a plague on the gaming industry. I watched a video recently that said a company has developed an AI-based anti-cheat that can detect 99% of cheaters within just a few games. The beauty of this approach is that it builds a profile based on the cheater's gameplay behavior. This means that even if the cheater creates a smurf account the AI anti-cheat can still recognize & ban them. Supposedly a couple of unnamed devs are testing out this new AI anti-cheat. I hope this is successful and takes off in the industry. The company behind it says that based on their testing they estimate that up to 30% of players are cheating in a game.

Seeing cheaters completely infest playlists and matches is actually sickening to me. They’re ruining the game, and for what??? Just so they can feed their ego?? It’s sad.😞
