Wanna know the science behind this? Look up panic induced depersonalization/derealization. Then after that look up dissociative disorder. Basically after a major panic attack, your brain can dissociate reality, your surroundings, your body, thoughts, feelings, and everything you know in existence will be decreased as a way for your brain to cope with the stress. Keep in mind though that this is not a fun experience as this can last for weeks, months, years, decades, and even lifetime in some circumstances. It is treatable not curable. Once again, 24/7 disassociation otherwise know to a normal person as “Zoning out”. Basically the closest thing I have felt in my own personal experience before experiencing this is driving and zoning out yet being fully capable and aware of what I am doing. This is not a joke and not to be played or toyed with. It is very serious and traumatic. Have a good day.

      😢Leviticus‬ ‭18:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.

If you don’t know the The “1,000-yard stare” is a term often used to describe a distant, vacant gaze that reflects a person’s deep and intense psychological or emotional experiences. It originated in the context of war and combat, where soldiers who had experienced the traumatic and harrowing aspects of war might exhibit such a distant and haunted look.
The term suggests that the person is mentally and emotionally detached or absorbed in memories or thoughts related to intense experiences. While it has military origins, the concept has been used more broadly to describe the distant gaze associated with various forms of trauma or profound emotional distress

Truth. I hate when war vets tell me my cptsd isn't real because I was never in the military. (Lots of military in my husband's family, including my husband.) I was never in a war, but growing up felt like war. I won't explain the details, it was incredibly gruesome and not for a public forum, involving physical and sexual abuse, death/murder, psychological torture, and worse, and I lived like that for 20 years of my life. I'm 33 now, and I've been told I get the same look in my eye when a man raises his voice, someone surprises me by unexpectedly leaping out, yelling, or touching me, etc. Not saying its exactly the same, I have a lot of compassion for our combat vets, they see some horrific things. But it can have a very similar effect.

So I feel like a weirdo for even existing but then again it goes away when my head start thinking about crazy scenarios that could happen but the chances are 1%. Those "crazy scenarios" are known as intrusive thoughts. Also just as you described, you might think of doing something bad, you might have intrusive thoughts about hurting someone or yourself, sexual unwanted thoughts, etc. Intrusive thoughts dont affect your actions, just like you said you keep thinking about crazy stuff, but it doesn't happen. It's a great description of what an intrusive thoughts/unwantwd thought is. It's normal to have them from time to time, most of us do, but if it's very often and you think it affects you, then something might be up. I only know it's associated with OCD or BPD. I could be wrong, and there could be other things associated with it, but yeah like I said, if you struggle from those intrusive thoughts it won't hurt to seek for a psychologist

I dont find it funny at all. Especially the ones who comment on this ‘thousand yard stare’. It’s an effect of panic induced depersonalization/derealization and it’s not something you wanna experience and can last anywhere from weeks, to years, to a lifetime after a panic attack or a trauma response. The thing is, it only gets worse with people who have it because with every ptsd attack you fall deeper into the rabbit hole of losing touch with reality. Everything seems like a dream. Closest thing I can describe it as a feeling is when your dreaming and you know your dreaming and your dream is not pleasant. It’s the pure feeling of wanting to “wake up” while being fully awake. This is why people go scientifically go insane. Panic induced stress. It can make you lose touch with reality as it comes with memory loss, delusions, hallucinations, violent tendencies, loss of morals, etc. . And it is not something to brag about. This is not a bragging manner. I hope I could spread some awareness. Have a good day

We get looks like we're freaks sometimes when we "zone out". We just go back to a place and time that things weren't that great. These are great examples

At school we had this game, "lapse" we called it, when if someone was discovered in a "thousand yards stare" moment someone had to say "Lapse" and we all had to stare at him until he came to himself and discovered us all looking at him.

This happens to soldiers that have seen there families getting killed and every one getting murdered in front of them. Hers an example “you have 10 families, and they die 1 by 1 infront of you which makes your brain feel like its in a loop, which develops a thousand yard stare, and doing this at people makes them say “you look weird”. So if some people like friends or family are gonna get killed, dont look.

Since then I feel a extremely strong desire to follow Jesus give up my ways and follow his . This has become very hard part of my life but god never said it would be easy god only said it would be worth it !
