I had 2 of those in my head dept. One had a worn table we used to use it to mount exhaust manifolds to (before I got a belt sander) Haha. Anyway they are great machines, just keep good way oil in the caps for the ways though. Some of those heavy diesels have higher nickel content and will vibrate a bit, noticed your tape measure. I used to keep stuff on the mill arm and took a piece of sheet metal to box in the square area near the depth wheel. can't tell you how many DT466 heads I did, TD6's, TD9's, even used to mill the old CAT Pony motors on that thing. Good memories, thank you, 35 years in shops doing that stuff.
hello how are you very good friend videos, I want to ask you a question on that. place purchases what parts for that machine, I have one and it has been damaged or I look for part but I can not find it I would appreciate you to help me with the information, have a good day

great video, what cutters are you suing?
I'm using the original style that came with the machine
@@krismorse5296 How do you sharpen them? I searched found no one.
What is the maximum length of head that can be resurfaced with the 85B?
Biggest I've done on this one is a 60 series Detroit.
You could do a 42" head if the machine is not tight against the wall.
You should do more videos like this of you working on different things.
Jason Bertrand now that i have help i hope to start doing more
As soon as I wasn't looking that tape measure would jump down on the cutter and go for a ride a bet ya! That is how my luck goes. lol
LoL! i keep a marker up there too, sofar so good. if it does fall it wont hurt anything. but there is very little vibration
500th Sub! 😃👍
