  • In 1939, two remarkable women, Alma Goetsch and Kathrine Winckler, commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design a house for them. Today, the current homeowner Elle Wernette shows us what it's like to live in a house that's connected to nature, as she continues to appreciate the unique modern way of living that Wright, Goetsch, and Winckler created.

This is my favourite of his designs. This place just croons, "home" to me. I love it.

Bravo ! It's GREAT to see the house being cared for so well, and to see the removal of paint from surfaces originally uncoated. Imagine how much more work was required to strip (sand; scrape; what else ?) than it took to add paint. A story of the process(es) required would make useful reading.
In the meantime, thanks for the fine video, all. SDR

Too bad Wright didn't use this plan more as I believe it is one of his very best.
