I have the pg4s for basketball, but I don't think I would suggest it for volleyball. There is a lot of cushioning with the full-length Air, so the court feel is really not that great. You feel really high off the ground. Also, the upper knit support, due to the zipper, is not that tight unless you zip it up all the way. Traction is really good, however.
I have also heard that the court feel isn't the best for them but the cushioning and impact protection is the exact reason why I would love to see a review on them. I need a lot of support as I need shoes that protect from a lot of jumping which is the same as the Dame's. Hence why I'd love to see the coach compare them and give his opinion and as you mentioned traction is better for them so I'm just very curious.
Hey Coach Donny Sensei, do You have any recommendation for volleyball shoes that you can wear outside especially on concrete. Or do You think the ones for indoor fit as well ? Would appreciate Your advise
Kinda off topic but, can u make a video about the difference between mikasa balls and molten balls with ur opinion on which is best? Also, can u make a video on the spiking tempos?
Lightstrike is really designed for uptempo running as it's not really responsive when you are barely moving--it's fairly stiff. Bounce IMO is still the best cushioning overall.
Hey coach, I have a question for you. What ball would you recommend for practicing at home (mainly jump serves and jump float serves). My dream ball is the Molten Flistatec V5M5000 but that is WAY too expensive for practice at home (it will get worn out quickly if I hit it hard against rough surfaces). TLDR: I would like a recommendation for a somewhat cheap but good volleyball for practice.
Im having trouble spiking, my approach is decent but when i spike my body always ends up sideways. I dont know how to rotate my body while im up in the air. Can you make a video about this coach? or like make a video on the compilation of hitting mistakes most people make
Hey coach, was wondering why the gel rocket series dont have basically any reviews on them from volleyball players? kinda strange, i love asics shoes but cant really find any info about them in terms of volleyball.
Hey Coach! Love your vids! This is off topic, but I’ve recently bought the Molten Pro Touch volleyball. What are your honest opinions about the ball? Thanks!
i’m not a coach. that being said, i have played volleyball for a long time, over 13 years and i am friends with multiple coaches. from what i’ve heard, they wear the ankle braces for support in their ankles... professional volleyball is very competitive meaning when your blocking and hitting, you can land on the other teams feet/ ankles. the ankle braces also protect your ankles from twisting if you land wrong.
Love your videos 💙 I was hoping for sum advice m, wut would be the best way to train for volleyball when you don’t have a court or a wall you can use to practice? me and my friend just started volleyball and in our neighborhood their isn’t anything we can use as a giant wall or a court
I know this is a weird request but could you do a video about the anotomy of a volleyball shoe versus a basketball shoe? I currently do everything in a pair of new balance lacrosse shoes lol
Hey Coach Donny I would love to see a review on the Asics Gel-Rocket 9. I heard so many great things about them and would really appreciate your opinion! :D
Curry 8s have awesome traction as I hear but would be great if you did a review on them. I really would like a volleyball review in terms of cushion in the 8s!! Your reviews are really helpful 🙏🏽
Coach Donny I want to be just like you when im older but im really short so i’ll probably me about 160 cm or somewhere near there if i play Lib will they let me play even tho i might be short
Hey coach Donny I've been interested in volleyball recently I'm 5'7 and 17yrs old is it possible for me to be a good middle blocker when I play in college?
Unfortunately in college the middle blockers all have quite the height advantage as the ones I play against are usually around 6'5-6'10 even 7 foot. This doesn't mean you cannot be a great middle blocker though. I would play middle blocker during my first few high school years and I was around 6'2 now I play power or outside hitter in college. If you are just starting out in volleyball my suggestion would be to try to play either of these positions or even libero!
Im glad there is someone reviewing shoes based on volleyball performance. Thanks a lot
Hey Coach! Would love to see a review on the Nike PG4 next if possible :)

Interested in your opinion on Decathlons volleyball products. Mainly their V900 ball and some of their shoes.

Hi Coach Donny, Could you suggest some Volleyball shoes for hitters?
Coach! Does the Dame 7 squeaks on the floor?
Have you looked into the Freak 1s at all? Curious to see how the first line from Giannis and Nike work.

Would like you to try hyper set from Nike
coach , ive seen lots of professional players (e.g ; maxim mikhyalov ) wear ankle braces/support , do recommend it ?

For libero you will be all good, remember that height isn't the only factor in volleyball.

True to size?
If you have wide feet try the new balance Omn1s they are available in wide for wide feet people
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial I believe they're categorized as basketball shoes.
I just got them in wide. Can't wait to try them out. They're the Kwahi NBA shoes
