Hi Gemma, Great video. Personally I loved the Pillow Talk Fair Lipstick on you. I think sometimes you get so used to seeing yourself in certain shades that it looks strange to you but to others they see it differently. Obviously you need to feel comfortable and happy though. xx
I wish skincare providers could make their products sit better with makeup. When you read reviews online, time after time consumers are saying the product pills. I've spent so much money trying to find products that sit well together and I really don't think any of us should have to do that.
I'm with you on this. You tubers make it look so easy. In real life, not so much. I'm convinced that it is a mismatch between the foundation's formula and the layer below it (should be sunscreen). Every formula is different.
Tom Ford foundations and primers have hyaluronic acid as their base. It doesn't mix well with anything that has a serum base, gel (can be an exception) or silicone. That includes skin care. The foundation works the best with water bases. The purpose of hyaluronic is to pull water. I took all my foundations and categorized the bases as well as my primers. Since skin care is very personal to an individual's skin type, just keep in mind what to switch bases as not to clash with any foundations being used for the day.
Rachel Anise, The Beauty Professor uses the Sweed Miracle Powder as her base like a mineral foundation. Buffed in. But, as a finishing powder, it looks pretty too☺️
Thanks, Gemma, for the review. I, too, find some skincare doesn't play well. I wonder what Vit C you were using as that makes a huge difference in my routine (and I am tempted by the new Dr Sam vit C, but can't test it anywhere.)
Gemma, thank you so much for trying out the pinky colours, I personally loved the lipstick shade on you but then I am averse to the orange and brown colours. I tend to suit pinks more than the orange colours, but think I am going to buy the new pillow talk as the last one was so bad on me it made me look like a corpse. Big Kiss to Ralph!
Can you please try the sweed powder with just skincare because I was thinking of buying it and I think there’s a level of coverage in it almost like a powder foundation ❤
The eyeshadow palette looks exactly like the MUA palette “Wilderness” you recommended a while back - except that the latter is a quarter of the price. I’ve got the MUA one and I love it
A little tip for applying sparkly eyeshadows - in stead of using your finger try one of those sponge tip applicators. Works like a dream and is more precise than a finger.
I thought the Baby Pink undereye powder was just my imagination, but I agree on all your points. It is not the same at all and makes me think all of them may have been reformulated. And its not very pink is it?
Girl, we have all had those days, but, when you have them, you are showing us the value in a product. As I chime in here with so many before, you really do look good with the Cooler toned lip products... but, you have to feel it too. I might pick up the CT fair pencil and lip, but, not the plumping glosses, ugly packaging and just not for me. I will be looking into the Armani bronze for summer, as I am fair as well. I have the PMCG pink powder and mine does not clump, performs perfectly. You are the best, Gemma.
Literally me, every morning trying to sort out which part of my skincare threw a wrench into the gears of my base application. What do you do on days when you don’t have time to wash it all off? Invariably the worst disasters come on days when I need to not look crazy. 😅
Thanks for the review Gemma. I was about to hit buy (despite being on a low buy) on the Tom Fotd foundation and you have given me pause (and saved me £120) I don't want to spend that much on a twitchy foundation, I just expect them to work for that price. Love your honest reviews and your humour. ❤
Great informative video Gemma !! Thank you … I just love the way you interact with the camera & to your audience.. you have a great sense of humour ( maybe bc you’re from Yorkshire) … thank you again 😘
Hi Gemma, i´m so glad that you tried this Tom Ford for us, i had this on my list, buuuut this seems to difficult. I think the foundation must go on well with my skincare, no other wise. My Skincare routine was so hard to figure out, that i will not skip a single item 😅😂. Thank you for this video 🥰
The ND mini palette is amazing and I love it. I have the same issue with the glittery shade on one side. The middle one is what you expect from ND and is fab. I have a few MUA palettes (just as good as ND) but none are similar to this ND mini.
Traceless soft matte was my HG foundation until the Louboutin came out. This new Tom Ford one is slightly drier. The finish is much better. BUT...if you already have the Louboutin, you definitely don't need this as well. They are very similar. But the Louboutin is slightly less dry
I’ve been looking for reviews for a few of these products! I’ll probably pick up the ND palette. I love the CT lip liners but so many of her light colored lipsticks have too much white pigment and aren’t flattering on me. Great video, thank you!
I’m glad you said caffeine makes your undereye more dry. Same. I just made the connection with my under eye cream. 🤯 When I don’t use it, under eyes look better!
I’ve heard that her mini eye palettes are made in a different factory than the large eye palettes. I heard someone say on a video that the quality of the mini isn’t as good. Thoughts?
So many cool stuff 😍 I tried the rare beauty blushes in store lately and have to say they are too shiny for my taste. I love my hourglass blush with highlighter in it but these are too much for my taste.
Thanks for another great video. Just a comment about oxidation! The fact that it reacts with vitamin C which is an antioxidant and changes color means it is not an oxidation reaction 😊. It changes color in the acidic environment. But I understand what you mean.
Great “ New Makeup Try ons Gemma. I would and could never pay $150.00 for a foundation. It’s crazy how fussy the Tom Ford one is. You, sweetie have a lot of patience. 😮😅😊. Thank you so much. This was truly fun.
My rough collie sweet girl was soooo interested in one of your segments. It was the Rare Beauty blush. Her name is Hope and she came running to you calling her name so fast. 😂 It is definitely the color I would have chose.
I was so disappointed in the tom ford foundation. My skin would look flawless with the traceless soft matte one that was discontinued and the shade and illuminate. The new one just made my skin look awful . Just like you my cheeks looked great but the chin around the nose and my forehead was breaking up so bad and clinging to all my texture. It made me look like I had texture where I did not think I had .I am so sad because it replaced my holy grail by tom ford and its gone :(
I have found the ND mini pallets do not perform or compare to the full sized pallets. I believe they are made in a different laboratory and you can tell the quality is just not as high as you would expect. Unless you have used any of the ND bigger pallets you can enjoy the minis no problem as they are nice, but definitely not the same formula imho.
I've never been of that opinion, in fact some of the large palettes have shadows that I find are really temperamental and can often be really patchy when blending. I do love the larger palettes but I also think the minis have their qualities. xxx
I bought the icon baby from CT and was so disappointed. The shade is perfection, the cheap chunky glitter in the lipstick was not what I would have expected at all!
That vitamin C product sounds like it needs to go in the bin😂. FYI your link to the Armani bronzer goes to the Armani powder. I was wondering why there were so many shades. Interesting that you look great after a mess of product fails. My makeup would be running down my face, lol
I thought I was the only person who questioned the pallet. I don’t have any of the larger ones to compare but I’ve had a hard time with it. Why do the L’Oréal products contain sooooo much alcohol?
For £120 I want a fool proof formula and not one that is a temperamental hit and miss. Not that I would spend that much on one foundation in the first place.
Sorry Gemma, but I'm not seeing beautiful coverage anywhere on your face from the Tom Ford foundation.....at least via my phone. So (especially since it's sooooo expensive) I'd have to give it a hard no.
Dodging TF with a big stick. I’m over luxury priced make up. And I went down a CDP rabbit hole. $110 for and eyeshadow quad is not happening for this frugal lady.
The vitamin C serum oxidised your foundation as well, it looked darker in the side by comparison. Also you gotta stop using the word 'loose' to describe liquids, it makes me think diarrhoea haha
13:52 I'm sad you edited out the full TF application and chin close-up the second time. Those of us with dry patches need a foundation that glides over them, whatever the cause, even if you don't want to blame the foundation. You say you've worn it steadily but we still have to wait to find our your real thoughts? Is that because creators get more of a commission upon early release? Cameras always seem to fail when people are doing their eyebrows lol. Nothing wrong with just doing them off camera for the sake of time. Also applying a new powder full face along with other glowy products interferes with the wear test, no? Kind of disappointing I have to admit.
Nothing justifies paying £120 for a foundation!!I can buy a very good full set of make up products with that money: foundation, concealer, blush etc… No way
This is subjective though, just the same as buying an expensive dress for an occasion or buying a fancy car. You don't need it, but some people like to have it. x
I do really like the Pat McGrath under eye powder but I won't be using it again purely based on their sustainability credentials. Why she feels the need to package makeup in extra plastic and filled with hundreds of sequins is beyond me!
120 pound foundation??? Stop right there. And you can't wear skin care underneath??? Let's get real, folks. Tom Ford is laughing all the way to the bank.
I don't know if it is the camera but your forehead, even the side-by-side picture, looks a tad bit darker than the rest rest of your face where there is no vitamin C serum... or is it my 55 yrs old eyes playing tricks on my ?? 😅 It looks beautiful though, with no serum underneath 😉
I love your makeup but in my opinion your lipstick always spoils the look. Too jammy looking and glossy. Not classy. Id like to see you yrying a more matt nude look like rhat Ftench lad called someyhing like Ali or Andrea.
I find myself more and more often skipping artists I used to follow and going straight to you. Perfect blend of humour and professionalism.
Awww thank you Natasha xxx
The $150 price tag on the Tom Ford foundation is the only thing I need to know about it. LOL
Yup, never buying that.
Ridiculous price. Nop.
I don't think that nothing in this foundation is worth 150€ 😂 besides the name TF
What is happening in luxury beauty industry??? The new Chanel powder/bronzer 95$…
Inflation?
At £120 for that foundation, it would have to apply my make-up for me!
Looking beautiful as always, Gemma xx
Haha! And make you a cup of tea xxx
Hi Gemma, Great video. Personally I loved the Pillow Talk Fair Lipstick on you. I think sometimes you get so used to seeing yourself in certain shades that it looks strange to you but to others they see it differently. Obviously you need to feel comfortable and happy though. xx

I don’t like cool toned pinks on me either but with your blond hair, it looks lovely.
And I LOVED the Pillow Talk Fair on you. It was so pretty!

Would you be interested in trying the Swede Make Up so I think they do a skin tint? You’ve got the powder and may be a blush. ❤❤

I love this type of video, where you review makeup products. Btw, I liked the pink Charlotte Tilbury lipstick on you.
I have the Armani bronzer in the darkest shade because of the reddish undertone. I use it very sparingly, and it’s so beautiful and natural!!
Glad to see Pinks. Thank you
Great review!! Loved the blush and seeing the Pillow talk products!
The eyeshadow palette looks exactly like the MUA palette “Wilderness” you recommended a while back - except that the latter is a quarter of the price. I’ve got the MUA one and I love it
I was thinking exactly the same!
I just bought the MUA one and it's amazing. So I bought more of them. They are all soo good.
You are lovely. Very considerate reviews. Thank you ❤
Love that you reaply makeup to find out if you can fix the problem ❤ problem solving 😊
What a great video Gem! I loved the lip plump! Ive just tried the new Max Factor 2000 Calories mascara pro studio and its great!!👍🏼
A little tip for applying sparkly eyeshadows - in stead of using your finger try one of those sponge tip applicators. Works like a dream and is more precise than a finger.
I've been using sponge tip applicators for "frosted" shadows for over 40 years. Less fallout, no sparkly fingertips!
@@MyCleverHandle Exactly 😀

I liked the CT lipstick colour on you. If you tried it again with a more pinky blush, I bet you'll love it more! Xx
How did you powder your eyeshadow base in place? Is there a particular product and technique?
Literally me, every morning trying to sort out which part of my skincare threw a wrench into the gears of my base application. What do you do on days when you don’t have time to wash it all off? Invariably the worst disasters come on days when I need to not look crazy. 😅
Love your in depth reviews!! Other than the Tom Ford I want to try ALL the other products you reviewed!!
Update to come when I get to grips with what went wrong x
I think the Pillow Talk Fair looked really good on you!
Great informative video Gemma !! Thank you … I just love the way you interact with the camera & to your audience.. you have a great sense of humour ( maybe bc you’re from Yorkshire) … thank you again 😘
Which vitamin c you was wearing under the TF foundation? I'm curious to know it
Which is your favourite now you've tried the new Tom Ford one, this one or the cle de peau?
Hi Gemma, i´m so glad that you tried this Tom Ford for us, i had this on my list, buuuut this seems to difficult. I think the foundation must go on well with my skincare, no other wise. My Skincare routine was so hard to figure out, that i will not skip a single item 😅😂. Thank you for this video 🥰
Great video! Not much for the products, but oh, so fun 😂
I really think you suit that lip colour more than you do the other colours you wear, its lovely on you ❤ x
The ND mini palette is amazing and I love it. I have the same issue with the glittery shade on one side. The middle one is what you expect from ND and is fab. I have a few MUA palettes (just as good as ND) but none are similar to this ND mini.
I’m so happy you’ve finally tried the Sweed powder, I absolutely love it ❤ also the Armani bronzer is chefs kiss, I can’t stop using it 😊x
Love those blushes!!!
Evening Gemma love the rare beauty blushes I picked up hope I think it very pretty see you soon ❤
This was informative & your makeup looks really pretty. ❤
Wow, those blushes!!
I think I won't spend the $ on the foundation but loving the lip color and blush.
Hi foundation breaks down on the sides of my mouth and chin. What should I use to prevent that? Thank you.
I know a lot of work goes into creating a new product but does this justify the retail price or we paying for the name and packaging?
I really liked that pillow talk lipstick on you, gorgeous ❤
Traceless soft matte was my HG foundation until the Louboutin came out. This new Tom Ford one is slightly drier. The finish is much better. BUT...if you already have the Louboutin, you definitely don't need this as well. They are very similar. But the Louboutin is slightly less dry
I don't think they're that similar on my skin. The TF is much smoother and more blurring but it takes less time to dry down xxx
The lipstick color looked beautiful on you.
Oh thank you! x
Your videos are ALWAYS the best Gemma! You are my favorite ! 😊❤️
Wow thank you x
I’ve been looking for reviews for a few of these products! I’ll probably pick up the ND palette. I love the CT lip liners but so many of her light colored lipsticks have too much white pigment and aren’t flattering on me. Great video, thank you!
I still love the Cle de Peau matte foundation you got me onto, I have no desire to try any other expensive foundations 😊 Those blushers look gorgeous!
Thanks for the video! You look great!
I’m glad you said caffeine makes your undereye more dry. Same. I just made the connection with my under eye cream. 🤯 When I don’t use it, under eyes look better!
Gemma, you're just lovely 🤩
Thank you Martha, that's so nice xx
I’ve heard that her mini eye palettes are made in a different factory than the large eye palettes. I heard someone say on a video that the quality of the mini isn’t as good. Thoughts?
Hey Gemma, FYI… I found Aquaphor lip repair on Amazon for £6.99 or £13.08 for a pack of two!💖
So many cool stuff 😍 I tried the rare beauty blushes in store lately and have to say they are too shiny for my taste. I love my hourglass blush with highlighter in it but these are too much for my taste.
I understand, they do add that metallic sheen to the cheek which you either love or you don't xxx
I love the lip color on you! It’s beautiful! Why don’t you like it?!
Thanks for another great video. Just a comment about oxidation! The fact that it reacts with vitamin C which is an antioxidant and changes color means it is not an oxidation reaction 😊. It changes color in the acidic environment. But I understand what you mean.
The bronzer looks so nice x
It is lovely and so easy to use x
Great “ New Makeup Try ons Gemma. I would and could never pay $150.00 for a foundation. It’s crazy how fussy the Tom Ford one is. You, sweetie have a lot of patience. 😮😅😊. Thank you so much. This was truly fun.
My rough collie sweet girl was soooo interested in one of your segments. It was the Rare Beauty blush. Her name is Hope and she came running to you calling her name so fast. 😂 It is definitely the color I would have chose.
Aww that’s so sweet x
How does this foundation compare to the Cle de peau?
In my opinion it's more matte. It's a much thinner formula with similar coverage and similar airbrushing capabilities x
For £120 I would expect a foundation to sit perfectly and make me look like a supermodel 😅
Did the vitamin c cause a change in colour to the foundation?
Love your videos!
You really are the best.
Can you do a video on some good Korean beauty 😊
I was so disappointed in the tom ford foundation. My skin would look flawless with the traceless soft matte one that was discontinued and the shade and illuminate. Agreed. I HAAAATE the glitter in it
Your makeup is gorgeous and I love your hair longer now ❤
Thank you x

I thought I was the only person who questioned the pallet. I don’t have any of the larger ones to compare but I’ve had a hard time with it. Why do the L’Oréal products contain sooooo much alcohol?
Hiii from Switzerland 😍
Hi x
Sunscreen!!!
yes know what stress is
I have this ND palette and I also don't like the first shade... I don't use it at all. But otherwise, it's a nice palette.
Enjoyed video
You should always look at the base of the foundation before adding skin care.
Note to self: don’t try new products or skin treatments before using a new foundation.
Liked the pinky tone on you. You're looking very Gwen Steffani in this makeup and your hair a bit longer
I love and have high end foundations but $150 is ridiculous unless it made me look 20 years younger
Dodging TF with a big stick. I’m over luxury priced make up. And I went down a CDP rabbit hole. $110 for and eyeshadow quad is not happening for this frugal lady.

I’ve got to say this has always been a bugbear for me too. It’s unnecessary x
For $150 foundation it should look stunning! Absolutely disgraceful
I understand what you mean, but I'm not blaming the foundation yet. x
120 pound foundation??? Stop right there. And you can't wear skin care underneath??? Let's get real, folks. Tom Ford is laughing all the way to the bank.
£120 and for it to not look good! hell nah 😅
It was a lot longer than 5 min. Sometimes that’s very important.
No you’re right. The foundation oxidised over the vitamin C x
I love your makeup but in my opinion your lipstick always spoils the look. Too jammy looking and glossy. Not classy. Id like to see you yrying a more matt nude look like rhat Ftench lad called someyhing like Ali or Andrea.
Thanks Margaret...You do you, and I'll do me! x
