Right now if a team selects Makoa and Fernando (together), it's usually pretty much a given that they'll easily be able to take the point - unless they and the rest of their team play really poorly. Throw this new guy into that mix, with a healer - and bang, the match is pretty much over before a shot has been fired... Bad team balance continues to be the biggest problem with this game, which is uncorrectable because no one can change to a new character class once the initial selections have been made. (What's wrong with that? Successful games like TF2 has had that capability for years and it only helps - not hurts - the in-game match balance). I observe that you can predict the results of about 70% of the matches just by looking at the characters chosen for each team - given that you have an understanding of the attributes of the map. I get sick of being forced into trying to take and defend the point with underpowered combat characters like Skye and Ying, because my team mates all want to snipe and hide as far away from the point as possible. Tired of being forced into playing Barik - with no on the point support from my team - too. Most players don't seem to have any idea how to balance an effective team, or the tactics necessary to work together to win. From looking at how the new characters and features are being added to this game, it seems like there is a big difference between how professional "e-sport" teams may be able to organize themselves to play, and the casual, pick-up gaming experience. Torvald may work out better for the pros, but could be a train wreck for those of us who play casual matches - where the biggest problems we already face are being locked into poor (non-competitive) team balances and players on our own team who are clueless about even basic strategy and tactics. Have to see how it will work out... Keep up the great work!

Paladins did Doomfist before overwatch could do Doomfist! now the who copied who wars will continue to rage on! ...at least in terms of design, Chances are if Doomfist does become a thing in overwatch then he'd likely function differently, even if people speculate that he'd be a tank (which is equivalent to frontlines here)
that is likely going to happen, but we don't know anything about doomfist yet, plus when blizzard wants to release a new OW hero, they start leaving codes and all that shit months before, we haven't seen any of it yet so it ill take a long time

That's NOT point blank, "short range" could change when they develop Torvald further, and we can't know if the distance where Ray casted the F is truly the max range of the ability. Work case scenario they make a card for it that extends range

Ult looks great, left click and right click are interesting, not super exciting but they're alright. Q is pretty decent, I enjoy a supportive tank and his F looks really strong. Overall, good character it seems. Looking forward to seeing him in game.
They are immune to crowd control during their ults, so unless he's got some groundbreaking runes in that gauntlet, you should be able to dragon punch your way right through the hyperbeam.
you got 2,5 second to get to him and he would have to hit you with everysingle one, so unless you are flying to him directly into from far away there is no way you'll die only to the ult, its like saying that drogoz ult is weak cuz viktor can kill him with one mag. At 50 damage per shot you will barely tickle any decent mobility champion
Scrub requires some.. it auto locks anyone closest to the crosshair, so he has to look at the person he is killing the whole time.

I feel like it's important to note the weaknesses and counters of new champion kits so they don't look as op as he looks right now

I honestly thought the hype was bullshit until I saw that Runic Blast can hit more than one enemy along with Hyper Beam pushing SO FAR. Frog Isle is gonna be misery.

His ult could have some interesting uses. Spilting up the back and front lines to deal with on at a time. Literally just denying buck and makoa if they press Q. Bullying a team into a corner to set up a drogoz...
