in decomponsated CLD, HE ammonia is the culprit and needs be driven out. to give lactitol to be given preventing ammonia to reach brain. to give syrup lactitol(brand name is loose) 30ml every 3 hours till 1-2 motions are passed after that 6 -8 hours.
Tab.Rifaximin 550x tid are used
