  • Insta360 Ace Pro can record up to 8k video in 24 fps whereas GoPro Hero 12 Black maxes out at 5.3K resolution but can you really see the difference between the two ?
Nowadays, lots of people watch their youtube or facebook vidoes on their mobile phones, and most of people still have 1080p laptops etc and only some of them gonna watch these vidoes using 4k monitors so with all of that in mind can you see a significant difference in quality betwen 8k vs 5.3k resolution ?
In this video I prepared a bunch of random different clips comparing Insta360 Ace Pro 8k in 24 fps and GoPro Hero 12 Black recording in its maximum resolution, 5.3k.
The whole video was exported in 8k and thats how I uploaded it to youtube, yet it seems that RUclips will downscale it to 4k anyway. Please make sure that you watch it in highest resolution possible and pause the video when necessary.

I watched this on a laptop and I did see the difference. The white temple - Ace Pro 8k did a better job but the rest of the footage was 50/50 for both cameras. The only thing I didn't like about the GoPro is that it looks like it creates noise in certain shots. P.s. I watched till the end and you explained why the GoPro has some noise - a smaller sensor. Makes sense :)

Yeaah and im not sure if that noise is duento smaller sensor or 5.3k only perhaps both.... anyway 8k is better
I just forgot to mention about the storage and editing 8k video ^^

Yah, I can see a huge difference.. cat hair detail, exposure and dynamic range is actually better on Ace Pro, details are significantly noticeable in every side by side. Too bad it's in 24fps max, I'm hoping we will see maybe 30 to 60 fps in 8K, that would be a killer.

Tylko pozostaje jeszcze pytanie. Obróbka 8K. Mój komp ledwie zipie obrabiając 5.3K . Co do różnic to widać je, chociaż w jednym ujęciu obraz z GoPro mi się bardziej podobał 4:20

No weeź;) Śnieżenie w Gopro o porażka.
