This is the second video of a series on the Defence of Sihang Warehouse, an event that occurred in Shanghai during the early days of the Second Sino-Japanese War, or WW2 in China. Part 2 focuses on the events that occurred on October 27, 1937, the first day of battle at the warehouse. Topics that will be covered in this video include how the Chinese troops made preparations for the battle as well as the initial Japanese attacks.

Although this isn't a popular part of WW2 and certainly isn't going to attract tons of views, for the people who are interested I have to say this is a wonderful bounty of research and information. Thank you for presenting this.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve always had an interest in WW2 history since I was 3 years old, mainly the ETO and MTO. I’ll watch some of your videos and I’ll find myself REALLY engrossed and hungry for more. I’m now starting to consider trying to obtain a few pieces of original Chinese equipment and weapons from this time. Everyone knows and loves the Japanese, German and US Militaria but I think the Chinese stuff is really under appreciated and mostly forgotten.
I'm really glad that you're interested! It's quite disappointing how China's role during the war is often forgotten. I started making these videos to tell people about what happened there during the war and it's always really encouraging when people become interested! I completely agree that Chinese militaria often tends to be forgotten by collectors overseas. I've only seen Chinese collectors looking for these items. Original Chinese items from the war are extremely scarce as many were used up in the conflicts that came after WW2 (Chinese Civil War, Korean War, etc.). However, it's not impossible to find them so keep an eye out! Thanks again for the encouraging comment! I'm in the process of making the next part so stay tuned! Cheers!
I am in the exact same boat as you
All right. 109/14th friend.

Was the footage at about 3:50 visible from the railway bureau building on Boundary Road? It seemed it could have been.
Yes, it’s very likely that that’s where the footage was taken from. Thanks again for watching!
@@resistanceremembered Can I PM you or something somewhere? It may be easier.

I enjoyed that,I had not heard of the bunker story,a very nice touch.Keep up the good work
It was definitely an interesting part of the story! It was there due to previous aggressions between China and the Western countries. Most sources don’t mention this but it was written by Major Yang Ruifu in his memoirs so I thought I’d include it here as well. Thanks again for watching!
Awesome vid and information again! Thanks :)
