This video is over 10 years old, and yet I still come back to it every Christmas season to watch. Thank you for keeping this up! Jennifer Cella is missed in TSO and She has an amazing voice. I love this version so much better then the children on the CD.
The amazing Jennifer Cella!!! So happy she is back with TSO which she was on the NY tour, but she is killing it with the West TSO, so good. Happy she performs live here with her band, she is just amazing live!
jen calla is AMAZING! i LOVE this rendition of this song. my only wish is that there was a studio version of her singing this song on an album. i get chills every time i see this performed live.
I saw them in Greensboro Nov. 21st and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. This song was one of my favorites and the girl who sung it was amazing.
all a matter of opinion. The kids are precious & I adore their version but THIS is stunning, heartfelt, full of passion and this gal is overflowing with talent. wow! the pipes!! Jenn Cella ROCKS!!
Your post is old but it was studio recorded a long time ago with Jen singing it but still hasn’t been released on an album. They should’ve put it on the dreams of fireflies album 🤷♂️
I thank the Goddess (I'm Wiccan btw) for allowing this enchantress of a woman to sing. I know she's singing about Christian ideals, but nevertheless, she's almost a goddess with that microphone.
Yes! TSO is a great live band, they rock. She does a great job on one of my personal favorites here. I saw them live for the first time last year and I can't wait to go back when they come back to Providence in mid-December!
I really wish they would record a version like this. I love the one with the kids but she just kills this song (in a good way) and elevates it into something else entirely.
we saw them Dec 5/08 AWESOME PERFORMANCE Husband HUGE ACDC fan and this one blew him away. Even my 19 year old daughter loved it. Me too.. Just amazing.
No. Just the one solo. I came up with it during the tour, and no-one else could pull it off, so they called me up. I have to say that standing next to Miss Cella was generally the high point of my evening.
Jennifer Cella was the one and only, and she's the one who took this from a children's song to a thrilling, operatic moment. But I got to say that Georgia Napolitano's version is nothing short of spectacular.
*Sigh* I love this group... I'm going to see them in Indy on the 22nd.. it's been 5 years since the last time I got to see them live.. and I'm no less excited.. :)
I'm not kidding - that's me. Look at the program for 2003. Or the credits on "Christmas Canon Rock" from "The Lost Christmas Eve". I played the solo. I am the only guitarist besides Pitrelli to have ever played a solo on a TSO record. Including Caffrey, and Skolnick.
theres 60 members of TSO they cut it in half 30/30 coz they cant handle all the gigs that they have.. that girl is jennifer cella and she is playing with the east coast group...
@EXPL721 I'm a HUGE fan of both bands, and I cannot agree with your statement. TSO has become a very natural continuation of Savatage (due to the fact Savatage hasn't released an album since 2001). TSO just doesn't have the similar sound and arrangements, but they have the same soul and heart of Savatage. If you can't sense that, then I'd assume you don't listen to much of one or the other. :l
I don't think she's better. It's a different type. Personally I prefer the children as it endears itself more and the sound is 'purer', whereas she lends a sort of raw emotion to it.
this video was shot in toronto but i dont know if thats considered east side of the US,this does not look ling jennifer because this girls hair is not as long and has a fuller face--jenn has long ass hair and is big boned-it just doesnt look like her like the other videos from CT ot new york
thats not jennifer cella-TSO has 2 sets of singers and bands one for the east coast and one for the west coast-if you look at the video of one of the concerts at one place on the east coast and one on the west youll see they are all different singers
As much as I love Jennifer Cella singing this ya gotta admit that Georgia Nepalitano does an equally amazing job!
My God, she gives me goos bumps...what an amazing performance...This band is fantastic...
Simply beautiful!
I love TSO, their holiday and non-holiday music.
The woods are lovely dark and deep, But I have promises to keep. And many miles to go before I sleep. Love you TSO!!!!
thank you jennifer for all you have done. you are beautiful and talented. keep up the good work
OMG. What a song. Jennifer Cella is absolutely incredible. What a voice. What a gorgeous girl and what a performance
i agree.. they should make a studio version of this..
This video is over 10 years old, and yet I still come back to it every Christmas season to watch. Thank you for keeping this up! Jennifer Cella is missed in TSO and She has an amazing voice. I love this version so much better then the children on the CD.
6 years later, I am still coming back to this song.
Same here!! NOBODY can sing this like Jennifer Cella! This is definitely her song!!
maybe someone should start a faceook petition for this to be a studio version, with Jennifer of course
Beautiful
this song is awesome..they are awesome!!!
makes it feel like CHristmas when i hear them...
oh God I'm in Love!!!!
This is by far my favorite christmas song... I love this video and want to thank who ever recorded it.

ive been a Cella fella from the beginning and she STILL drops my jaw and gives me chills no matter how many times i hear her own these notes!!
Simply outstanding rendition. Thank you Jennifer Cella
This is still the greatest ever.
The amazing Jennifer Cella!!! So happy she is back with TSO which she was on the NY tour, but she is killing it with the West TSO, so good. Happy she performs live here with her band, she is just amazing live!
no one can sing this like Jen. They are all ok. She is awesome
can't go a Christmas celebration without this rendition of this tune, thanks for posting!
Ah...last year at this time and once again it's TSO time! Can't get enough...must see again and again
Jennifer Cella was the best. Wish she'd come back.
Absolutely awesome, Jennifer. You are a superstar.
jen calla is AMAZING! i LOVE this rendition of this song. my only wish is that there was a studio version of her singing this song on an album. i get chills every time i see this performed live.
I love Jennifer's voice, I hope she goes solo or joins another rock band
I saw them in Greensboro Nov. 21st and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. This song was one of my favorites and the girl who sung it was amazing.
all a matter of opinion.
The kids are precious & I adore their version

wow! the pipes!!
Jenn Cella ROCKS!!
Such a great song, and fits the story perfectly!
It's a shame she is no longer with the band. I really enjoyed her voice on many of the leads.
TSO always adds majesty to all the Christmas songs they interpret...thank you for posting :-)
Wow, simply amazing. She's got such vocal power going into a great song. Thanks for posting.
Such a incredible voice what talent great job Jennifer!!!!
I love this version! She has such a beautiful voice
Fantastic ... what a talent !
Thank you TSO for this performance and whoever recorded and posted it!
This is my 5th year seeing these guys live! Seeing them on Dec. 14th! Can't WAIT!!!
Nice one really!!...
I wish they'd record this version on an album. The children are wonderful, don't get me wrong...but this one is so powerful.
It is on the Christmas Eve and Other Stories album
Your post is old but it was studio recorded a long time ago with Jen singing it but still hasn’t been released on an album. They should’ve put it on the dreams of fireflies album 🤷♂️
@@georgiaherrera3857 nah that’s the kids choir version
She is so gorgeous!!
I thank the Goddess (I'm Wiccan btw) for allowing this enchantress of a woman to sing. I know she's singing about Christian ideals, but nevertheless, she's almost a goddess with that microphone.
saw them in Providence, R.I. last nite just amazing. the light show is worth the price of admission alone.
Right on Rach! Me too. Don't get much better than this!
Yes! TSO is a great live band, they rock. She does a great job on one of my personal favorites here.
I saw them live for the first time last year and I can't wait to go back when they come back to Providence in mid-December!
My God, not only is Jennifer a looker, she has one hell of a set of pipes on her! Superb... \m/ (:o)
I want her voice! I bow down to the awesome control and vocal strength that is Jennifer Cella! She is what I aspire to be as an Alto!
I really wish they would record a version like this. I love the one with the kids but she just kills this song (in a good way) and elevates it into something else entirely.
totally agree!!!
This is so awesome. Wish this version was on Itunes
She great singer 🎹🎸🎻🎼🎤🎶
know whta you mean, she is perfect
spectacular
we saw them Dec 5/08 AWESOME PERFORMANCE
Husband HUGE ACDC fan and this one blew him away. Even my 19 year old daughter loved it. Me too.. Just amazing.
Love this version also..wish it was on the album
No.
Just the one solo.
I came up with it during the tour, and no-one else could pull it off, so they called me up.
I have to say that standing next to Miss Cella was generally the high point of my evening.
Chills! nothing more!
YEa, I agree... there needs to be a studio version of this rendetion!
2 words. Amazing voice!
Jennifer Cella was the one and only, and she's the one who took this from a children's song to a thrilling, operatic moment. But I got to say that Georgia Napolitano's version is nothing short of spectacular.
Chloe Lowery is good also
WOW
*Sigh* I love this group...
I'm going to see them in Indy on the 22nd.. it's been 5 years since the last time I got to see them live.. and I'm no less excited.. :)

she so talented it makes me sick. i would kill for her voice.
I will be seeing these guys for my 7th time in just 2 weeks, although the band that i see is a totally different band
I'm not kidding - that's me.
Look at the program for 2003.
Or the credits on "Christmas Canon Rock" from "The Lost Christmas Eve". I played the solo.
I am the only guitarist besides Pitrelli to have ever played a solo on a TSO record. Including Caffrey, and Skolnick.
i thought that was you taking that solo ...i even knew your name lol
And the body of one.
im going to hartford civic center in a few weeks im in the 7th row on the floor i hope thats a great spot
There are 2 groups that tour around the country.
OMG! Did you play the solo at the end of the track named, "O Come All Ye Faithful/O Holy Night" That one is my fave!! I think its brilliant!
Her voice is beautiful.. her crazy chicken head-bopping is insanity though..
That's rotten. She's awesome.
Anyone here in 2021?
me, too. When I saw them last November, I was stunned when all those ladies belted out
the Christmas Canon. Should be sung more quietly.
Her name is Jennifer Cella. She isnt with TSO anymore though :(
theres 60 members of TSO they cut it in half 30/30 coz they cant handle all the gigs that they have.. that girl is jennifer cella and she is playing with the east coast group...

SAVATAGE!!!!
Are You A Fan Of TSO And Y Dont Know Savatage?
Jen Cella
@kaindarkwind Good point
I don't think she's better. It's a different type. Personally I prefer the children as it endears itself more and the sound is 'purer', whereas she lends a sort of raw emotion to it.
That might not be true, She says that she might be back with TSO this year. I soooo hope that is true...
Is there a reason you post this on so many TSO vids? Wishful thinking on your part?
listen to anything from the beethovens last night album. its like a blend of TSO and savatage.
this video was shot in toronto but i dont know if thats considered east side of the US,this does not look ling jennifer because this girls hair is not as long and has a fuller face--jenn has long ass hair and is big boned-it just doesnt look like her like the other videos from CT ot new york
Is there a studio version of this song with the singer?
Just curious, what do you mean by "bends her voice"?
Thanks for an explanation.
That's Alex Skolnick.
thats not jennifer cella-TSO has 2 sets of singers and bands one for the east coast and one for the west coast-if you look at the video of one of the concerts at one place on the east coast and one on the west youll see they are all different singers
if wasn't for savatage TSO will never be..
:)
