You can trim the steering column plastics and run the signal stalk as a recessed setup leaving only the stalk exposed. This is not only a much cleaner look but it also solves your door handle clearance issues. I am currently waiting on those kits to come back in stock so that I can install the street legal kit on my Max Limited. Also, the 2025 door locks are backwards compatible on the '23+ with the caveat that you might have to trim the inner handle pocket a smidge on the rear door plastics. I had the dealer install them on my '24 prior to delivery. Most find the Rangers to have more cabin noise when compared to the Can Am, myself included so I can't agree with you there. We cross shopped the new Ranger 1500 HD and the Polaris Xpedition models but ultimately settled on the Can Am for build quality, price and the fact that ours will be a dual purpose rig used for both hunting and back country off-road/adventure. I have been a Polaris fan for many years now but so far I am very happy with the move to Can Am.
Great info! Thanks for posting. I'd love to see your completed kit once done so I can copy your approach, particularly the trimming and what tools you use to keep those plastic edges looking as factory as possible. Thanks for the tip on the locks too!
Jason, thank you for your in depth videos. You mentioned there isn’t cool music or editing. What you’ve done is phenomenal. I look forward to future videos.
Just cut the ender of the turn signal arm off. Cut it back an inch or two and find something to put over the end of it or if you have access to a cricut make a vinyl wrap for it.
Very good review my friend. You've built yourself a beautiful machine. I really like the blue. If I bought one of those that would be the color I'd get. I can't believe Can Am got rid of the door locks! I think manufacturers should all include turn signals at the factory.
Thanks for the note and kind comments! Hopefully they figure out the door lock thing. But it'd be expensive for us to upgrade for only that reason. Darn it!
I agree on the door locks. I have a 2022 now and when I saw the first of the 2023's I thought how crazy. I am hoping they change this for the 2024 be ordering a new one.
Thanks for the view and the note, William! I'm anxious to see the 2024's! It looks like the new Polaris rigs for 2024 have locks. But as they changed from the Ranger lineup to the Xpedition and the Xpedition Adv, to load them up totally, they've jumped another $10k! $45k for these side by sides is some big money compared to just going to a truck or a Jeep. Fun to see it all evolve.
I just picked up a '23 Max XMR and am curious what kids size helmets you like in the sxs? Just came across your channel, I'm through the mountains from you in Midway but have taken several family trips to Eden to ski and love that valley too! Great job on your videos so far, look forward to getting some good ideas from them. I'll be the first subscriber for a Toy Barn meetup!! A man's life is as organized as his garage!
I love Midway! With our Ranger Crew, we used to get a bit more rowdy and I always had the helmets on, but with what we do now, it's more low key trail stuff, like up over Avon and dropping into the Logan valley, so we've not been using helmets.
Here is the link. I highly recommend. It all came in one crate, was extremely well packed and was a lot of fun to assemble together with some of my sons. Ships from Spain. www.mezzaninesonline.com
I'm not a huge fan of the tan they attempted to use to color match the wheels on that desert tan. I agree with you; the desert tan would look sharp with black wheels a some solid tint!
@@EdenToyBarn Will be buying a Defender next spring, and I'm heavily considering them. Purchasing some land now that's at the very end of county maintenance, so I want a reliable plow set up for winter.
Thanks Mark. Mine doesn't lift or drop enough to clear the door handle. But I spoke with WD Electronics and they were very helpful. They've sent out a different mount I'm going to try.
I think this looks amazing! Unfortunately I don't have that kind of money, im getting an aodes work cross hvac which is same style way more accessories but 15k cheaper. But you did amazing on this rig!
Thanks Frank! It seems like the Odes machines are getting great reviews and represent a great value! Excited for you. It's all about making it your own and doing some "dude accessorizing". Thanks for the note and the view!
Perfect to run around the valley. Keep us posted on the plowing. Nice.
Thanks Brad. Love to hear from a local. Just picked it up yesterday from ADS for the plow install. I'll post a video on that.

That is an awesome looking vehicle
Thanks David! And thanks for watching!

Thanks Jim! I appreciate that. I'll be posting this next week. Thanks for the support.

Where did you buy the steel mezzanine you have in your garage?

I do like the desert tan, but in my option they would look with black wheels. I’m also not crazy about the Limited brown seats.

Are you going to do snow tracks for winter? Great break down!
Thanks! I've thought about it. They are just so dang pricey! Have you done them?

On my defender I have the turn signal kid on and I just raise my Stern wheel up to get the blinker arme by the way

Just do a neat job of cutting about half the lever off, maybe epoxy a knob on the end afterwards.
At 30,000 dollars plus it should come already street legal and sound system
Right?! I completely agree.
