- There hasn’t been peace in the Congo for 20 years, the army and the various militias are locked in a constant battle over the country’s precious mineral resources. The fighters on both sides have been profiled often but this documentary looks at a group often thought of as merely victims of the war: women.
On both sides there are female combatants. Some are fighting for what they believe in, others because they have nowhere else to go and nothing to lose.
Many of these women have never seen peace, they joined to replace fathers lost in battle and never looked back. Others have left a militia but are unable to return home so the army seems like the next best option. Who are these women and what motivates them? We meet those on both side to hear their stories.

@@MsCwebb It often seems to happen mostly around the globe to the most devout and loyal to a "god" also , which is really cruel. I'd like to think "god" will make it up to them and allow them into "heaven" but it could be judged on their "judgement day" ( when "god" is really busy judging the other 140,000 people that died that day globally ) that they might actually go to "hell" for their sins ( as shown and discussed in the video ) because "god" loved them so much and created them. Who knows ? 😉

An entire continent of people oppressed by both foreigners and their own. And endless battering from two, where can one even begin to feel peace.
It's a shame that with all the supposable intelligence in the world we haven't learned how to live in peace with each other! Nobody should have to be a warrior
