Maddie is always lead a sure point. Her running attacks and blocking was consistent and on point! Their game against UST was lit!! They gave us heart attackkk. And I noticed how Dani Ravena played in the game. How she digged and controlled the ball. She was really good and the effort of the team as well. PROUD FAN GIRL HERE!!!

yeah, that's what I was thinking when i watched their game. Seldom middle plays.. Rondina got tired and barely got a rest and Laure is indeed a rookie yet. She still needs more exposure from this type of game to compact herself.

Nag-improve naman si Kim G. as a libero siguro off lang talaga siya that game. Kasi kita naman sa previous matches nila na mas nag-improve yung reception ng Ateneo

Baka 11 years ago. Kasi nag-tweet si Celine Hernandez (yung record holder ng most blocks before Maddie) ng "Breaking the 11 years record with 11 blocks" something ganyan.
Season 56 po siya nag-start, around 1993 so 16 years ago po
Final four era simply means second round kasi patapos na ang elimination pag Second Round and malapit na sa Final Four kaya final four era tawag

sheer luck brought ale to where they are now in terms of standing.
pilay na pilay na ang ust tigresses & yet, the total scores were tied at 108. hanggang d’un lang talaga ang kaya ng ale na muntik pa ma straight sets ng ust.
ale’s victory is not convincing kasi dikitan lang ang scores. kitang-kita na fatigue lang ng kalaban ang nagpanalo sa ale.
ale who had more experience & training is composed of more senior players while the tigresses has more rookies playing. nag untimely exit pa si milena.

Sheer luck? agags lng teh? Nasa UST na ang malalakas na spiker in the form of Sisi Rondina, Eya Laure and Dimdim Pacres. They also have Mafe Galanza, which is a promising setter. Not to mention Janel Delerio na magaling na libero. Kung wala siguro c Delerio baka more than 24 solid blocks na ang ALE but she played really good when it comes to defense.
You know what's wrong with UST? Composure and Confidence na manalo. Given na malalakas sila magspike, they should've play smarter dahil alam naman nila na they are going against the number 1 blocking team. To their setter naman, nandoon na ang skills, but the problem is, takot siyang magtiwala sa middles niya. bato ng bato kay Sisi and Eya. Malakas naman c Viray and Galdones (?). Kaya ayun, napagod na c Sisi and don't blame that to the ALE girls. Mafe should know na bantay na bantay na c Sisi and Eya. I understand she's still a rookie at kabado pa cguro pero ginawa siyang first setter, meaning the UST coach and staff trust her.
Rookies against Seniors? Ano naman ngayon? Wala sa pagiging rookie or senior iyan, inday.
And lastly, the TOWERS OF ALE. hindi sheer luck yan dahil lahat ng puntos, pinaghirapan para makuha. Bakit? lahat ba ng puntos ng ALE e errors ng UST? dahil kapag ganun, yun ang sheer luck. Pero hindi e. Yun ang ginagawa ng lahat, specially the blockers of ALE. UST has powerful spikers? No problem. ALE has the towers. They stop the spikes by blocking them. Magaling sila magbasa when it comes to blocking an opponent kaya hindi nakakalusot c Pacres. And I noticed how Eya and Sisi had a hard time din na mapatayan ng bola ang ALE dahil sa mga blocks. Their floor defense din nag-improve kaya marami ding rallies.
So wag na wag kang magsabi na 'sheer luck' lang ang pagkapanalo dahil nakaka-insulto yan sa athlete. Lahat ng puntos pinaghirapan. Matira Matibay lang yan. Volleyball is not always about how hard you spike but how smart you play. Yun ang wala sa UST that game. I'm an ateneo fan but love Sisi and Eya. Tanggapin na lang ang pagkatalo ateng. I know babawi ang UST. Wag ganyan. Napagkakamalan kang bitter niyan e!
Both teams are tired, it's the tactical error of the UST coach that did it for them,the rookie setter is not creative for the UST spikers to escape the payong of Maddie & BDL, but ALE have composure,the will to win and proper execution of coach O's instruction.ALE wins it thru merit, luck does not apply here.
