Great discussion. Also what did they expect with his recovery less than a year having never been really athletic at his age? It's crazy. Wish there was a duo as good covering the commandos now that we have new ownership, but i find the giants really interesting: seemingly good ownership who just suck at hiring and daboll seems like he wears people out unlike all the successful hc's right now who are positive and build their players up
Teams would've definitely traded ahead of the falcons if they didn't have kirk. How would they have known penix would fall to 8? I'm not enthused about penix sitting behind any of the other available options. Kirk was the best QB available at the time and they got him. Penix was their QB2 in the draft and they got him. Worth it. His take is a bit short sighted. All of this shoulda coulda woulda with the benefit of hindsight is ridiculous. That argument has always been dumb. Willfully ignorant even.
The draft is after free agency so them drafting penix after signing cousins. They didn’t know if they could get a qb in the draft. Maybe they saw cousins in practice after signing him and was like yeah we have to draft a qb cousins is bad.
Hindsight is always perfect. The best hypothetical was that Kirk get us a divisional game year 1, then possibly a Championship year 2. Kirk retire and we start Penix. It didn't work like that, so Penix became an expensive insurance policy, and Kirk became an expensive bridge QB. Things had to turn out perfect, or guys like you would yell about how they messed up so bad. All good.🫡
Great ep boys! Love the deep div

Penix is a tough name to go through life with…
Can’t be worse than guys or girls with Dyck or Head, and there’s plenty of others but yeah it’s definitely something that kids will tease you about
Why? Seems to be doing well.
Lol yeah he's a millionaire before the age of 25. Must be a very tough life.
@ oh no doubt he’s wealthy.
I’m saying the name penix is a tough name to go through life with. Like Richard, Dyck, or Falus. It’s just…hard.
You got that middle school boy sense of humor
Giants 77-0
