Sir? Can I send you money then order a razer rtx 2080 then send it to me? i'm far from US then in my country razer laptop is super OP but in the website and amazon it cost 2,999 but here is 3,899 huhu
Just missing the exact price, just telling that it is expensive don't explain much because all pf us know that RTX card tend to be pretty darn expensive.
Every review I've seen has had GS75 with the highest spec. It has the RTX 2080. But from what I've seen, you would be getting better value for money by saving $1000 and getting the RTX2060 model. This version has a smaller power brick (180W vs 230W) and thermal throttling would be less of an issue, no?
Gabriel Umoh I wonder how long will it last. I beefy laptop that will last at least 6 years aren’t that bad (average $500 per year on an amazing system), but my GS63vr broke after a year so I am so reluctant to invest in a thin and light beefy laptop from any company and not just MSI.
Just bought the gs75 with the rtx 2060 (not the max q version) for $1799 on Amazon and so far I love it. As long as I'm above 60fps on games at ultra I'm happy and so far it's done just that. Awesome laptop for the price.
I love your reviews. I have a 16 and 10 year old who are avid gamers and me not knowing much, your videos help me out immensely. Thank you for all that you do.
Now they have the 17 inch creator version, with 8 core CPU, RTX 2070, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD for $2,699 My fingers already added it to the shopping cart. But my mind needs to hit the buy 😃
I have been patiently waiting for reviews on this beauty. And you could imagine my excitement when I saw one from Matt pop up. Battery life and thermals are better than expected, display is beautiful, track pad is awesome. It is pretty pricey though..
yo man love from amman jordan! you made me buy my first gaming laptop and its the predator helios 500 thank you man! good choice of a laptop and REALLY POWERFUL
Does the trackpad get in the way when typing? I've heard other reviews say its too wide, and that naturally the right hand falls where the trackpad is Also, no mDP ? Why another USB type C I hope there's some version of Displayport on that Type c?
I'm about to pull the pin on this with the RTX 2060 and i7-10750H. The sales right now makes it a great deal. I want a 17" laptop that can handle whatever I throw at it. Almost went with a Dell G7 17 ... but with the same guts, owners say it regularly ticks up to 100 degrees C on the CPU. MSi's thermals seem a fair bit better. Wish the RAM wasn't on the back of the board though. Oh well, it can still be easily enough upgraded - and 3 m.2 slots is unheard of in any other machine I've looked at ... and that's been a TON over the last month or two.
Yaay finally another review on that laptop. Hardly any considering its still kinda new lol. Still waiting on Mobile Tech Review and possibly Andrew Mark David
It will be a little difficult to preserve the insides while maintaining those kinds of thermals long term. Unfortunately, it is expected for a thin and light with 2080 even with the Max Q version. Undervolting and max fans while playing may do the trick, but would rather set game settings a little lower to avoid thermal throttling.
I hate how thermal throttling now has become acceptable according to reviewers. This should not be the case. People buy big bucks for these laptops and cooling should be up to snuff no matter what. The drop might not be noticeable now, it will be over time when games get more demanding. 2.6ghz for each core after throttling is just quite poor and brings the performance down to 7700HQ levels of the last generation where all 4 cores are not likely to throttle.
I think companies are pushing for peoples' vanity with these thinner products. For business/basic laptops that's fine, I think. But these companies are targeting people who are loose with their money, and these consumers are also at fault for giving money to companies for a gaming laptop that performs worse than a thicker one would (with proper cooling, etc). I like the thin gaming laptops. They look cool, and would absolutely fit someone like me (I travel a LOT). But I still wont buy one because it just costs too much money and I also don't like the keyboards. So I stick with my 5 year old MacBook pro. But, most people are emotional, not rational. Gamers who are loose with their money would rather buy a pretty, underperforming product, instead of something that's a little heavier but better performing. And guess what, the majority of them would probably leave their laptop sitting on a desk at home. I would rather spend half the money building a small form-factor desktop.
@@Rejor111 Thats true, I also travel a lot by the way, but still opted for a more reliable alienware 15 R3 that I repasted (because the Dell paste was bad), its a bit thicker but in the end it helps the reliability a lot because my CPU barely touches 80c and the GPU 70c. People spend so much money on these products and it is just painful to see them fail prematurely because of heat issues. I had Gigabyte, Aorus etc laptops before and they all have shown issues within 1 year of use.
@@zeronine-eightyfour Nice. I wish I could take a thicker gaming laptop with me to a business proposal or meeting. Kinda fighting physics here, surface area is necessary. You can either get a full sized laptop that doesn’t throttle, or a small laptop with low specs. This kind of laptop satisfies a third market for those who are interested, but it sounds like you don’t believe this market should exist...

Hey Matt, Can you talk about the build quality? Which laptop should I go for Alienware m15 or GS 75? Is alienware's build significantly better than this one? And what about the cooling on these two devices? Is the difference significant?
First off, thanks Matthew for the excellent review. Concise, to the point, and easy to digest. I'm disappointed, however, with the device itself. Considering how many heatpipes this has, as well as 3 larger fans, I was hoping this would cool the 8750H without any throttling at all. To compare, the Overpowered 17 (which is slightly thicker, I know) can keep CPU temperatures under dual-load well under 75C, locked at 3.9GHz, with stock voltages and paste. It has a full GTX 1060, which also pulls 80W TDP like the 2080 Max-Q. I know it's a hot chip due to the 14nm architecture, but seriously, we're now heading into the SECOND iteration of gaming laptops sporting these processors, and almost all of them have failed to adequately cool them (except for the Zephyrus line, who had to shift the entire keyboard downward for vents) both times.
Braxton James the new RTX laptop gpu are heavily throttled so you are not getting the full performance, and thr 6 cores processor are also throttled by the current architecture and process. Would be interested in a comparison of Alienware m17 and the reviewed MSI. Thanks good review looking at Razor Blade Advanced 15, Alienware m17, and this model.
There's also the 1660ti version of this msi gs75. At a lower price (around 1700-1800$ now). But I'm more curious if the build quality of the "cheaper" models is the same as the "high end model". All youtube reviews for gs75 have been on the rtx 2080, the, the most expensive version.
I notice on Linus's video that there is a scary amount of flex. Do you think he just got a bad review unit or is this something to be concerned about? I'm finally switching back to Windows from my old Macbook Pro, which is heavy but has almost zero flex at all. I'm afraid if I go to a laptop with too much of it, it'll make me feel like I have something inferior. Thoughts?
Can you provide info on how large it is compared to a 15” MacBook Pro? Now that bezels are smaller I’m curious if its similar. I would then assume the gs65 is also smaller than a MacBook. Thank you! Also, great review! :)
Eric Mortaro Hi, my GS65 is not smaller than my Macbook Pro 15. So I Would assume the 17 is still bigger even though smaller than a regular full size 17.
So the laptop which has really good graphics with thin bezels and good screen to boot will cost me 3k? Guess i keep gaming on my note 8 huh. #poor #greatvidmatt

Please review the Dell G7 2019 model with rtx 2060. I want to buy it for studying and gaming or buying the Lenovo y740. I want to know how they compare to last year's model and whether or not it's the best budget gaming laptop this year even though it's more expensive.
Does is still suffer from their crappy keyboard ? I’ve had one already where the space bar doesn’t register keystones on the right side. They’ve tried to fix it once and I’ll see if the second time they get it right ... funny their keyboard issues go back years!
The new RTX laptop are not worth it in my opinion. The RTX 2080 should be on past with 1080ti. The RTX 2080 max-q is performing less than the laptop gtx 1080 (non max-q). That is approximately 40% drop in performance from the desktop part side they are heavily throttling the frequency to hit the power budject. The only RTX laptop that i see is worth it is the 2060 since to us not as throttled as the others, and you are getting close to desktop performance of that gpu
The 2080 is above the 1080ti by a little bit and the 2080mq is on par or better than the DESKTOP 1080. I’m sure they will update drivers to increase the performance alittle bit also dual channel ram would help it a good bit because it only comes with single channel out the box
I do a lot of coding and writing, and am debating buying a Thinkpad or just replacing the battery/keyboard in my 2014 MacBook pro. Seeing gaming laptops like this MSI makes me want to buy one though.... but I don't like the keyboards on most of them.
I think for the screen resolution itself getting a RTX2060 version is a better option. It's about 900 bucks different. Unless you want to plug it to 2K or 4K monitor which might not common to normal people. :)
My little advice to Matthew: please be gentle to the laptop in your review, close the lid gently instead of slamming it and produce sounds. In your Asus Zephyrus S GX701 review you clapped on the laptop monitor and that instantly turned me off. Don’t get me wrong your comments on laptops are good, just need to avoid some inappropriate gestures during your review.

Hey Matthew any chance you’ll be doing a review for the new Lenovo Y740s with RTX cards soon?
Please review the Dell G7 2019 model with rtx 2060. I want to buy it for studying and gaming or buying the Lenovo y740. I want to know how they compare to last year's model and whether or not it's the best budget gaming laptop this year even though it's more expensive.
Watching Matt made me realize how poor I am...
The only RTX laptop that i see is worth it is the 2060 since to us not as throttled as the others, and you are getting close to desktop performance of that gpu
what the fuck do you expect in such small form factors? Do you live on stupid island?
The 2080 is above the 1080ti by a little bit and the 2080mq is on par or better than the DESKTOP 1080. I’m sure they will update drivers to increase the performance alittle bit also dual channel ram would help it a good bit because it only comes with single channel out the box
The Punisher approves👊
Am I the only one noticed the Punisher season 2 footage?
I do a lot of coding and writing, and am debating buying a Thinkpad or just replacing the battery/keyboard in my 2014 MacBook pro.
Seeing gaming laptops like this MSI makes me want to buy one though.... but I don't like the keyboards on most of them.
Love ur videos dude. Lots of love from India(and for god’s sake guys im not a english person my english is bad ik stop saying :) )
Will you do xz4 one plus phones unboxing and review after mwc?
If I get one most definitely
@@MatthewMoniz great i will wait
GE75 RTX2070 has higher C/P
I think for the screen resolution itself getting a RTX2060 version is a better option. It's about 900 bucks different. Unless you want to plug it to 2K or 4K monitor which might not common to normal people. :)
My little advice to Matthew: please be gentle to the laptop in your review, close the lid gently instead of slamming it and produce sounds. In your Asus Zephyrus S GX701 review you clapped on the laptop monitor and that instantly turned me off. Don’t get me wrong your comments on laptops are good, just need to avoid some inappropriate gestures during your review.
Hey Matthew!!! This is the Black Reaper's new account!!!
mah man watching the punisher season 2.
Just finished it last night ! You like it ?
Does this laptop has a mini display port?
