The point you missed I think is that its not so much a problem that these crimes are happening on his platform but that he is not doing anything about it. Afaik FB and X are doing something about it.
Yes, I think that is a key distinction. I do agree that FB (Meta) is doing a lot more censorship, and actively trying to eliminate offensive content (which comes with its own set of problems of course, because many people accuse it of over-censoring). X (Twitter), I'm not too sure - as I don't use that platform regularly.
