Just purchased these after going for a ride in my Drayko jeans today and feeling vulnerable being a leathers guy. There are times and destinations where my full or two piece just aren't practical when sport touring. Definitely upped my internal security feelings. Six foot 200lbs 36 to 38 inch waist size xl fit me spot on.
@@thatoneguymoto It's always good for someone like yourself to put out non sponsored vids on things like this. Much easier to dig a freebie than when you're throwing down your own cash
Also, I’ve watched a lot of RUclips videos and you’re the only RUclipsr I’ve seen rocking the Shark helmet. I have a Shark helmet. I ordered the compression pants and hope to have to same results as you have had.
I’m so late to this party. I spent and wasted so much money on trying riding gear. 5’6 with 28” inseam is miserable when looking for riding pants. Knee pads are ankle pads and most cargo pockets are at my calf. I have a pair of Klim latitude pants that I’ve worn 2 times. I’m going to try to get a tailor to do something to them. Seeing as I paid $600+ for them. Thank you for your content.
A year on and I'm looking at these pants and your review is exactly what I was looking for. I'm 5'8" with 29" inseam and 38" waist so I am also hard to fit, every thing comes with a 32-33" inseam and fit like Doppy's frock.
Glad this was helpful to you! Yeah, I think in general certain apparel makers have worked to produce clothes in a larger variety of shapes and sizes. Since I was a kid, it's always been a battle to find things that fit well.
I purchased the shirt and pants.. went down this weekend. I can say that they did almost nothing for impact. went down in the woods at 5mph and elbow was all scrapped and banged up from a small branch
No complaints with these pants either, street or dirt. I even wear them with my motocross gear. Will definitely also be buying the new compression shirt to match.
Question my friend::: how does the knees ride? Meaning do the knee leggings ending below the knees ever ride up? Or do they generally stay I position correctly? Thank you my bro! 🎉
This is a good question but it's going to be based on your build. If you've got muscular or larger legs I don't think you have to worry about then sagging or riding up. They stay put for me, but I can see someone who is thin having issues. I'd say if you have any compression pants or shorts and they're tight on you, you're probably not going to have an issue with these.
Thanks for review, this was a huge help cause I have the same issue with jeans cause I too am 5' 7" 185 lbs . So 36 waist and 30 inseam. It's tough lol
you needed to buy Medium. they are supposed to fit tight. thats why they are compression pants. when they are tight the pads are held I place , I weigh 200 lbs and 5'6
Luis perez appreciate the comment. Medium would not work, as I have big thighs and calves and though the waist may have fit better, I would not have been able to get them over my legs. Dealing with the saggy waistband is fine. Thanks for watching! 🤓👍🏽
@@thatoneguymoto hi, I just bought a 2020 Tracer 900 gt. im 5.6 just like you and have 29 inseam. any tips for good riding shoes for the summer that will make touching ground easy ? currently I tip toe with the Alpinestars SP-1 v2 shoe
I had not heard of them until now. Based out of Chico, CA (near me) and some great testimonials on their website. Pricing is similar to the ICON armor, as well. I wish they were sold at CycleGear so I could check them out... Maybe they'll send me a pair. 😉
I have every one of their armored pants. Summer weight, mid- weight and thermal weight. They all fit unobtrusively under either regular jeans or even Kevlar jeans. I really feel like I can ride quite safely in jeans with armored underwear.

Thank you for this review. Covered all the points and I have been considering this gear. Cheers
You're welcome. They're still going strong, so I've got no complaints.

That’s for the info and this what I was looking for as a short rider. I will be purchasing these pants.
Hope they’re good to you. Mine are still going strong ✌🏽

I can relate to the trouble of finding fitting clothes at 5 feet 6.

COOL! Yeah, I've still been enjoying them. Thanks for watching! 👍
Didn’t know it has a compression shirt. Will look into that as well.

Yes, it can be tough. This was a nice win for a short guy. 😉😆

I am 5'4" about 152 lbs. What would you recommend as far as sizing goes? A small?
Ooo, I'm not sure. Maybe a medium? I'd say check out this sizing chart fro Icon and go from there www.rideicon.com/resources/sizing
@@thatoneguymoto Thanks bro. Ride safe!
What do you think of bohn armor products?

The Bohn armor pants not made of Kevlar?? Says made of mesh... unless its only the hot weather pants
Ooh similar height I'm 5'5 to 5'6. I guess I'll get a size large too. Also does it replace your underwear?
If you're thinner, you may go for a medium, but that's up to you. And no, I wear underwear with them. Thanks for watching! 👍
@@thatoneguymoto I wish I was thinner lol. But thanks for the tip!
im 5'6 and weigh 200 lbs I bought a med and it fits perfectly
lol how the heck do you wash them it's says Do not put them in washer and of course 2xl is the largest so if u need bigger than this you SOL
I've been hand-washing them with cold water and diluted detergent and they've held up nicely.
Nice video
Thanks 👍🏽
Haha you said rearend lol👍😁
