This is legitimately the best video of the basal ganglia's structure I have ever seen! It's so easy to follow... you've saved me hours of trying to figure out the diagrams, Thank you!!

Absolutely right man🥵 I was so confused but I had cleared it by watching this video 🙏 what a great explanation 💯

Just a heads up: the globus pallidus is not part of the dorsal striatum. Only the putamen and the caudate are (not the lenticular nucleus).
Definitely a helpful video though, thumbs up.

I learned in six minutes what took me 3 weeks to wrap my head in neuro class. The 3D images are an absolute necessity for me, I need to see the spatial relative locations to make sense of it. Thank you so much for this!

I believe the most difficult thing to understand in human anatomy are these structures right here. So many of them show in CT and MRI scans, but you can view thousands of them and still have a hard time imagining them in three dimensions. This video helps clear things up, a whole lot. Thank you, kind stranger!

caudate nucleus and putemen = striatum ( Dorsal striatum )

Striatum refers to caudate and putamen, without globus pallidus, doesn't it? NAcc (ventral striatum) is a place where head of the caudate and putamen are fused, picturing it as a separate structure might be confusing (in fact, on fMRI scans there is no clearly separated NAcc). Beside that, great video!
