Thank you for sharing. I did a similar thing when I drilled out the motor mounting plate for my Tamiya Juggernaut. I needed it to be perfectly perpendicular, I don't trust my drilling, so I used the drill press at work. 😅
Great idea. Another way is to take two screws, the same size that screws into your tranny and cut the heads off. Then sharpen them on a grinding wheel to a nice sharp point. Cut them to your desired length (depends on how deep the tranny screw holes are) and then screw them into the tranny. Leave about 1/6th of the point sticking out and press the tranny into the skid plate. This will leave two little marks for you to drill into. Works great for me. Thanks for another helpful video!
