Geoff and Kathy filmed this the day before Thanksgiving. He told his patrons at the preview that this was not the song he wanted to do, but his "boss" said, "No." He and Kathy only had from 10:00am to 3:30pm to get everything set up and shot, so they worked quickly and efficiently like the consummate professionals they are. I love this version of this song. The album cover work fits perfectly with the cathedral bell feel of this. This is one of my favorite covers of his.
@@CarlaSaylor His "boss" knows best 👌😅. They are certainly top professionals, I can't imagine how much work it would take to put this together. Thanks for the info.
It's really hard to put how Geoff's cover of this song makes you feel. You just know that something extraordinary has just occured. Thanks for your great reaction
Blew my socks off 🙈. His arranging capability is incredible. He does everything... including the instrumentation... so much talent in one person! 🤦♀️ ⚘️🕊
The "mas" (8:22 in your video) is indeed all subs - G1-Eb1-F1-D1, then repeat. "Bold" at 13:22 , with the slide is all chest. (The more compressed chest sound)
Thanks for this reaction to Geoff's latest release. I have run out of superlatives! I enjoy the way Geoff arranges music nearly as much as his vocals. Judging by his album art, the Geoffquakes did some damage! This one seems to be averaging 100K views per day so I'm not the only one who keeps replaying it 🙂 I've seen comments from folks who seem to know who say that Geoff does G1 in chest and down to D1 subs in this one. Geoff has down to F1 in chest nowadays that he has recorded previously (used to be F#1). So cool. Geoff and Kathy filmed this the day before Thanksgiving then shared it with his patron community three days later. He must have spent most of the holiday editing. The RUclips premiere followed a week later, the same day that VoicePlay released their Christmas tune (also great and a tribute to Louis Armstrong's 1953 original version). VoicePlay has another release coming this Friday (Dec. 13th) of an in-game video game song in collaboration with Warframe who contacted them soon after VoicePlay released their cover of "Sleeping in the Cold Below." The cool thing about VoicePlay is that Geoff isn't the only vocal monster in the group. They are all so very talented and do so very much of each project themselves as seen by reading the video description credits. Glad that you are feeling better.

just when you think Geoff can't top himself, he pulls out notes from Earth's inner core
Great 'dark' version of this carol ... it should accompany some dramatic scenes in a movie!
This is the most knowledgeable reaction and demonstration I've seen.
@hollyryalsgrubb1273 Thank you so much. I try my best to explain and demonstrate what's happening, but Geoff doesn't make it easy 😅.

Hope you are feeling all better soon. Happy Holidays

@vdoyne Thanks, he's a master of his craft and this one has set the standard for all Christmas releases this year for sure.
He is great at every part of his covers. My only favorite is the one I'm listening to at the moment.
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
