I pre-ordered the single based on the 30 sec preview/the fact it's a new Celldweller track and I have no regrets. It's not "Celldweller", "Wish Upon A Blackstar" or "End of an Empire". It's a new chapter mixing up all of the above... and I'm pretty excited to see where it goes!
Even if it feels somewhat flatter, it's because previous albums set the bar incredibly high to overcome. And yet - It gives you an image with a certain disturbance hidden within it, it lets you join a ride, which fills you with energy on the way. Makes both grateful to the overseer of civilisation and afraid of power it holds. I'm enjoying it more than i thought I will! (I don't get hyped easily).
The problem is - people make a mistake by comparing this single to the tracks from LPs. Yes it's not that complex, but if you look at the other singles like Tough Guy, Purified etc - they are not complex either, 'cause the amount of time and effort spent on them is lower. Just wait for a new Celldweller album (I'm not talking about Offworld), you'll see he'll raise the bar.
I sense a concept in here that I'll be eager to watch unveiling. But I have no demand of it happening right now - we've got all the time in the world and enough food to feast on until it happens.
I am going to be completely honest... this has got to be my new favorite Celldweller track. I've been waiting for this kind of thing from him. DnB is Klayton's greatest strength of all in my opinion.
This is clearly one of those Villain "I am" Type of songs, where the big guy or his general-esque types introduce themselves. In this case, it's introducing us to the big brother's big monitor. You can so easily tell where these songs would fit in a story without even having listened to the whole album, and that is just brilliant.
Klayton is an artistic genius. The structure, nature, symbolism and presentation of his albums. Everything is just impeccable in my opinion. Some may consider him pretentious and others may find him to be just another generic figure in the realm of electronic music. But, for me, and actually a surprisingly sizable amount of people, he is the GOAT. Literally, the best musician out there. Thank you, Klayton!
Gotta say I'm kinda bummed with the comment section. Klaytons music usually tells a story. All of his albums have so far. He never really sticks with any one genre either. Which is why I adore his work. He takes genres I would otherwise never listen, and makes them entirely his own, while telling a compelling story. If you all got 'repetitive' from his lyrics, then you weren't paying attention to the undertones. I want to know more. Just like with all of his previous albums. The man is a severely underrated artist. If you read this Klayton, keep rocking and fuck the haters! Can totally hear that Scandroid influence here by the way.
As D'n'B song - it is quite rich. People criticizing this song seems to be not into D'n'B much in the first place. So don't be afraid to dip toes into this direction - you have a good touch with D'n'B.
Up here in space I'm looking down on you My lasers trace Everything you do You think you've private lives, think nothing of the kind There is no true escape I'm watching all the time I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam I am perpetual, I keep the country clean I'm elected electric spy I'm protected electric eye Always in focus Can't feel my stare I zoom into you But you don't know I'm there I take a pride in probing all your secret moves My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam I am perpetual, I keep the country clean I'm elected electric spy I'm protected electric eye Electric eye In the sky Feel my stare Always there There's nothing you can do about it Develop and expose I feed upon your every thought And so my power grows I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam I am perpetual, I keep the country clean I'm elected electric spy I'm protected electric eye I'm elected, protected, detective, electric eye
Guys not every song has to have meaningful lyrics... sometimes the music speaks for itself ...more than a thousand words. I think this track is new and exciting.
This song gives me chills, specially the guitar parts. You are a genius Klayton. Distorted guitars + electronic= unique sound, that's what i love about Celldweller.
I wish I had discovered this sooner. Although I feel like I can relate to this, it would have done me better when I was 15. Good on you, bad on me. Oh well, perhaps it was meant that I found this when I did. Thank you, Mr. Klayton
you were UP TO NO GOOD making that comment HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAHAHA HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH i'm so sorry that was a horrible pun.....btw if you don't know what i mean check out his videos
you were UP TO NO GOOD making that comment HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAHAHA HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH i'm so sorry that was a horrible pun.....btw if you don't know what i mean check out his videos
that's the whole reason I clicked on it, I thought "wow, an industrial cover of Priest? by this dude whose work I know is sick? that must be lit AF" oh well lol
the expectations in the commentsection are so high, damn! i personally really love this song and it is undoubtly a celldweller song, noone could make it in a similiar fashion. unique and awesome, thats why i love him
Yes! Can't wait for the upcoming Celldweller album! I love Klayton's other projects, but new stuff from the Celldweller project is so exciting and refreshing.
Remember, this is a Satellite speaking. It shouldn't have the capacity to communicate with unique lyricism. I think these lyrics are fitting in that sense.
HOLY ... Clayton... THIS SONG IS AMAZING!!! I know you said you don't like your own vocals??! Why the hell note!! This tune is so sick and have been slamming it on repeat for the past hour!!! Really lifted my shitty mood!! Please always keep up with your music. It just puts me in such a good place!! Thank you for being you and always defying mainstream. We need more people like you and Daniel Voicians!!! Love you both lots like jelly tots!!!
Celldweller doesn't play by the rules. This also was a great piece. I wouldn't say it's forced if say it's a hint of other thing's to come. The repetitions are coming from the satellite. A beam is shooting to planet's that look like the end of anthe empire material. This could be a hint. I wouldn't underestimate klayton. Everything he's already put out has it's place. We also don't know where this track is placed in the full album yet. That's fairly interesting if you ask me. Based on the repetition it's a good thought to assume klaytons choosing to be even more diverse in ways with some of the upcoming track's and album. I actually like how it's repetitive considering klayton doesn't seem to put out that type of material usually. So I'd also expect a radical piece on the album. This is my opinion
I'm not sure if he was talking about Offworld or this new album when he said this, but he said this album would take place around the same time as Scandroid, and focus a little more on Red. Although, now that I think about it, I think it was Offworld. He mentioned this on Ask Klayton EP. 39.
Feels very close to transmissions, which may not be my type of feed - but after a moment I feel a split impression inside; both light, like flow of data acting like pulse of civilisation, kept in good health and transmitted by satellites - and a disturbing anxiety lying below it, that our every step is monitored and regulated. There is note to this song that ensures it, and I can't catch where yet. Aren't we like this in our lives? We are aware that it controls and chains mankind, but we'd rather mute this feeling and see it as unchngeable part of our progress. And even if we were to admit our anxiety loud - it's still watching, would it let us? Celldweller music is imagery. And this song has given me such. Also, I can't even close the tab, because it keeps playing in my mind, like again! Again!
Whenever my live goes to shit (and sadly it's quite often actually) I always listen to anything from Celldweller. Luckily for me, you release new content close to my breakdowns so I can always get up thanks to you man. Don't stop being you :)
I don't get what everyone is saying. I love this song. Maybe the lyrics aren't as good as with some other songs but the music itself definitely pleases my ear. Klayton likes to experiment and you can't expect he'll always deliver exactly what you want. He does everything his own way and that's what makes him special
Nice to have some Celldweller on the other side of EoaE and a year of Circle of Dust + Scandroid. Refreshing tune! The lyrics aren't overly complex or anything but they don't really have to be, they suit the song just fine and the vocals are awesome, I am personally enjoying the song a lot. \m/
This song is fucking solid in terms of production and feeling, but the lyrics get to the point where after the fourth "a satellite" I was like "Jesus fuck we get it" but the production is fucking crazy
WHY YOU ONLY HAVE 145K...I HATE THIS WORLD. Sorry, I've been following you for years just like the 99% of the people reading this and I'm confident to say we all agree the world is dumb.
Before I first heard this, just knowing the name, I expected a cover of the Judas Priest song. In my personal opinion, this is much BETTER than a cover of the Judas Priest song!

Makes both grateful to the overseer of civilisation and afraid of power it holds. I'm enjoying it more than i thought I will! (I don't get hyped easily).
It will also be interesting with the melancholy songs being separated from the faster, more aggressive songs.
The problem is - people make a mistake by comparing this single to the tracks from LPs. Yes it's not that complex, but if you look at the other singles like Tough Guy, Purified etc - they are not complex either, 'cause the amount of time and effort spent on them is lower. fuck yeah!

this may of been a year old comment...but i agree fully with you
There's a hidden meaning in this song. Very few people know it though.
As D'n'B song - it is quite rich. People criticizing this song seems to be not into D'n'B much in the first place. So don't be afraid to dip toes into this direction - you have a good touch with D'n'B.
1:49 Klayton you always know when to kick it up, I love it to death
1:49 some of the best DnB I’ve heard. This is so clean.
Up here in space
I'm looking down on you
My lasers trace
Everything you do
You think you've private lives, think nothing of the kind
There is no true escape I'm watching all the time
I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam
I am perpetual, I keep the country clean
I'm elected electric spy
I'm protected electric eye
Always in focus
Can't feel my stare
I zoom into you
But you don't know I'm there
I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove
I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam
I am perpetual, I keep the country clean
I'm elected electric spy
I'm protected electric eye
Electric eye
In the sky
Feel my stare
Always there
There's nothing you can do about it
Develop and expose
I feed upon your every thought
And so my power grows
I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam
I am perpetual, I keep the country clean
I'm elected electric spy
I'm protected electric eye
I'm elected, protected, detective, electric eye
@Sadujin honestly they sound pretty cool soooo...
Wow. Did you come up with those yourself? It's a great fit! ^^
That's Judas Priest's Electric Eye
@Sadujin You don't know Judas Priest?
that's not the lyrics
Guys not every song has to have meaningful lyrics... sometimes the music speaks for itself ...more than a thousand words. I think this track is new and exciting.
music so good it gives you chills
This song gives me chills, specially the guitar parts. You are a genius Klayton. Distorted guitars + electronic= unique sound, that's what i love about Celldweller.
Holy shit! I love it!
HAIL KLAYTON!
this is dope!
I wish I had discovered this sooner. Although I feel like I can relate to this, it would have done me better when I was 15. Good on you, bad on me. Oh well, perhaps it was meant that I found this when I did. Thank you, Mr. Klayton
Can we just talk about how sick that guitar tone is?
Also, did anyone else think that was going to be a Priest cover

oh well lol
I must add this to my playlist!
the expectations in the commentsection are so high, damn!
i personally really love this song and it is undoubtly a celldweller song, noone could make it in a similiar fashion. unique and awesome, thats why i love him
That first major riff is goosebump inducing. Loving every single second
Как я скучал по такого рода трэкам. Как например Wish Upon a Blackstar и прочее.
Спасибо Клэйтон, что радуешь наши уши. Особенно в море попсы и рэпа.
Have had this on loop for almost 24-hours now.
Yes! Can't wait for the upcoming Celldweller album! I love Klayton's other projects, but new stuff from the Celldweller project is so exciting and refreshing.
Everything Klayton touches turns into gold :D
The transition and beat starting at 1:06 is so legit. D&B PvP music of the future.
If it's possible to fall in love with a song, then I guess I've managed to do it now!!! Awesome!
Remember, this is a Satellite speaking. It shouldn't have the capacity to communicate with unique lyricism. I think these lyrics are fitting in that sense.
Love this classic Drum N Bass sound.
Damn it, Klayton's lyric videos look better than 70% artists' music videos
God almighty Klayton...im starting to question if this guy is even human...because no man could be in possession of such infinite talent.
HOLY ...
I´m so proud to be Celldweller´s fan. His very custom style perfectly fits on my fussy apetite. So excited about the next incoming stuff!
Nice, i like it!
Great! Need more tracks like that!
Celldweller doesn't play by the rules. This also was a great piece. I wouldn't say it's forced if say it's a hint of other thing's to come. The repetitions are coming from the satellite. He's hinting at something. It's not what you think though.
that....was..... EPIC ! Ahh celldweller you are briliant !
Klayton, continue, what you are doing, this song is amazing! (like all celldweller songs)
I love the song Klayton, thanks for continuing to create! 💙
Whenever my live goes to shit (and sadly it's quite often actually) I always listen to anything from Celldweller. Luckily for me, you release new content close to my breakdowns so I can always get up thanks to you man.
Don't stop being you :)

THAT WAS FKN AMAZING!!!!!!!!! CELLDWELLER IS HERE AGAIN!!!! THANKS, KLAY!!!!
Coooool!!!!!!!
I like the track more after each time i listen. I love it!
I don't get what everyone is saying. I love this song. Maybe the lyrics aren't as good as with some other songs but the music itself definitely pleases my ear. Klayton likes to experiment and you can't expect he'll always deliver exactly what you want. He does everything his own way and that's what makes him special
Probably one of my favorites.
THE SYNTHS ARE AGGRESSIVE, I love it
Just incredible
If this is a sign of what's to come on a new album, I am beyond excited!
massive !!!!
Good. Really good. Has lots of "feels" to it. Celldweller's finally back. Eager for more :)

More Celldweller, colour me happy XD
Nice to have some Celldweller on the other side of EoaE and a year of Circle of Dust + Scandroid. Refreshing tune!
The lyrics aren't overly complex or anything but they don't really have to be, they suit the song just fine and the vocals are awesome, I am personally enjoying the song a lot. \m/

That sexy drum and bass beat caught me off guard though 0:42

This song is fucking solid in terms of production and feeling, but the lyrics get to the point where after the fourth "a satellite" I was like "Jesus fuck we get it" but the production is fucking crazy
Klay's not a poet, he's a drummer (and a lot of other things, good things ^^ )
Aah, one of my alltime favourites.
Klayton is a fucking genius! Every song is so unique!
Instrumental sounds dope !
Great track! It's about absolute awareness :)
Best track you've done yet
Song gives a "All Seeing Eye" vibe.
I dig it.
This song gets me so hyped
WHY YOU ONLY HAVE 145K...I HATE THIS WORLD. Sorry, I've been following you for years just like the 99% of the people reading this and I'm confident to say we all agree the world is dumb.
love the new song keep up the good work klayton
Kinda cool. :) Really catchy!
this song is in my head everywhere i go.THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!! :):):)
I was not a big fan of the latest uploads. This one on the other hand, is approved.
I think the 'Electric Eye' was/were the thing(s) mentioned in Unshakeable, the 'three three figures that watch over us all'.
Before I first heard this, just knowing the name, I expected a cover of the Judas Priest song. In my personal opinion, this is much BETTER than a cover of the Judas Priest song!
2:50? I scan the ground? I've always thought it's "I scare the crowd", which sounded better for me personally. Nonetheless, a masterpiece!
nice music
Well don't know about the rest, but I fucking love this! Good job Klay
That satellite listened to much to the new circle of dust... creeps me hard
Despite what everyone's saying, I dig it and think it's up to snuff (more so, even.)
really good lyric video
