    Interestingly, the fuel burn for this model is better than for the Leopard 40 with the same Yanmar 370hp engines!

    If you’re interested in deck boats, the Bayliner DX2250 is the most high end Bayliner I’ve ever seen! It’s got almost everything a Sea Ray does, definitely worth a test!

    nonsense placing for the fire extinguisher; the potential fire would be out from the engine and how are you going to reach the fire extinguisher when the area is on fire ? it is right next to the engine.

      @@j.walker3498 better than what? Obviously, a smaller engine will burn less fuel than a larger engine, but that has nothing to do with efficiency of the hull.

      At sailboat speeds, it'll do nearly 1000 miles. That's pretty respectable considering it only holds 489 gals of fuel.

    Diesel outboards (OXE) would make this boat way better. Less maintenance and more interior room while providing better performance and fuel economy.

    • @darthkek1953
      @darthkek1953 2 года назад +4

      Why would diesel outboards be more efficient than diesel inboards?
      Yes, you would get a bit more room in the engine space, but you'd also shift the weight backwards.

      @@darthkek1953 In addition to easier maintenance, having the engines outside of a traditional "engine room" allows for way more interior space either in the cabins or lazarat or both and will allow you to eliminate underwater running gear. It's really nice to just beach a 50' boat instead of having to anchor off and swim into the beach. The further you can get the props back behind the boat the more efficient it will be. Regulator did a nice job explaining this concept in this video: ruclips.net/video/tz0ZcrbB6WE/видео.html
