Command & Conquer: Generals is a real-time strategy video game and the seventh installment in the Command & Conquer series.
It was released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems in 2003 and 2004. While the Windows version of Generals was developed by EA Pacific and published by EA Games, the Mac OS X version was developed and published by Aspyr Media. The Mac OS X version was re-released by Aspyr for the Mac App Store on March 12, 2015.
In the game, the player can choose from three different factions: the United States, China and the Global Liberation Army (GLA). Generals utilizes SAGE (Strategy Action Game Engine), an extended version of the Command & Conquer: Renegade's 3D engine. An expansion pack, entitled Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour, was additionally released for PC in 2003, and for Mac OS in 2005.
Both Generals and Zero Hour were met with highly positive reviews. A sequel, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, was in development, until it was repurposed to a free-to-play game known as simply Command & Conquer. The new game was part of the Generals franchise and was cancelled on October 29, 2013 by EA after negative feedback during the closed alpha test.

I love how insanely powerful some generals/units in this game are, some bordering on overpowered (like the Aurora Alpha bombers). This is what made GENERALS fun. So many fun ways to mess with your enemies! I miss playing this game.

Or Alexander's patriot missiles! She's so good against Granger and the Tank general.

@@dzalva1434 Yeah, EMP Patriot, the rediculous strenght of the Laser general towers - if someone dug in with those and you were not playing china with artillery immune to lasers, nothing could approach that... . But even the not so useful stuff, like the firestorm effect on China's blue-flame atrillery - Hard to pull off, debatable usefullness, but so much fun!

This can’t be on hard setting because the helicopters come back about 30 seconds after first appearing

It is, and I know, but if you stay back behind the stock line, they will not come, Try to build down and dont go up as I did.

You can use the rebel spawn and just blow them up straight away for more damage, could have saved a lot of quad cannons

Hmm, do you mean in the general improvment skill tree

@@zoom3000 yes and buy the upgrade that you can blow up your troops at will from the palace, spawn the rebels in where you want to like near al lot of power plants, war factory, base defences you name it and just detonate them.
Works pretty good used to do it in multiplayer way back in the day
